The One Where We See A Castle

Okay now I have well and truly bummed everyone out...



There five things that cheer me up when I'm sad and I have done three so far:
Got drunk, ate ice cream and watched a ton of Rom Coms.
Which leads me to the fourth thing (DF is away so I can't to the fifth thing) which is talk about Disney.



So that is what I'm gonna do...by going BACK IN TIME!!!! To 2012 that is...

When I left off all those many moons ago we had just checked into CR and we were heading to a park, but which park? Well if you said Magic Kingdom will you please stop giving away the ending! Yeesh! We hopped on the Monorail and off we went say it with me:
"Por favor, mantengase alejado de las puertas"

I love that. Makes me feel like I can speak another language...which of course I can! (Is Simlish a official language?)

Of course I took some super awesome photos on the ride round to MK. Totally awesome...get ready!

That's all I got! Lets be honest is anyone actually surprised?
So after our amazing monorail ride which only seemed to pass the Grand Floridian we made it to MK!!!




We were actually there!! All the pretty Christmas
décor was up!

And one with less strangers!! Apparently the show had just finished! Good timing Lu

Now I'm going to be honest here I may or may not have squealed when I saw the castle.

So I'm sure you are wondering where we headed...you and me both buddy! You and me both...So lets just say we went towards Adventure land cause that just feels like it is something we would do!
The first ride of the trip is always super important right? Of course it is! With that in mind we chose....The Tiki Room! Wait! What? Why did we do that? Well I have no idea but that's what we did!
I have to say I was super happy that they decided to go back to the old Tiki room. No beef with Iago and Zazu but I did not like the new management
Right now we had "In The Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room" stuck in our heads it was time to move on!
Next we meandered over to Jungle cruise but it has a 65 minute wait ain't nobody got time for that! So we grabbed some old skool fast passes and head to towards dangerous waters, we were looking for some pirates. And we found them! I do love me some POTC. Especially the dog!
By this point it was well into the afternoon and of course BTMR had a huge wait and Splash was looking kinda dry so we decided to see if we could meet some happy haunts.



Now that's a better queue! This was not that long after they redid the queue to be all fancy and what not so we had to have a play!

I had no idea that these were a riddle otherwise I would have paid more attention!

Oh well! We decided not to join the 999 happy haunts this time but we did come back for a visit later so who knows if we made it out alive then??

Spoiler: we did. Still not a ghost. Just didn't want you to worry!

Oh, Lyndsay. So sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is always difficult.

Thank you It never gets any easier we lost three of our dogs in the last two years and get time it just kicks you in the gut

The One Where We See Two More Castles

After our tour of the happy haunts house it was time to move on. The Tiki room song was really hard to get out our minds so that clearly can only mean one thing:

It's A Small World!

Yes if you want to replace any song, thought, memory, brain cell or anything else you can always relay on Its A Small World to do the job!



Now I don't mind this ride, even though I have a phobia of puppets! Maybe this is a British thing but there was a show on TV when I was a small child call Camberwick Green which freaked the hell out of me Never recovered since...

Of course we got stuck in a boat jam for twenty minutes! Happens every time! It was actually funny watching all the people on the boats. Some of them (the dads) looked pretty much suicidal by the time we finally moved So funny.

Finally our old skool fast pass time had arrived so we hot footed in back to Adventureland for our tropical cruise. You guys, we saw the back side of water It was epic! The skipper really does make or break this ride and ours was hilarious. We joined in with the jokes of course
We were the only ones! Oh well!

By this point we were hungry so we went looking for food. I know, me looking for food??
Off to Tomorrowland and we went.



Because we are classy we decided that we needed so proper fancy food. Only one place to go for that...
Cosmic Rays!

Chicken nuggets and fries, height of sophistication! In typical fashion Space Mountain had a stupidly long wait but that was fine with us we were ready to laugh!
This is actually my favourite thing in Tomorrowland. So what do you do after your favourite thing in Tomorrowland? That's right your least favourite thing!
Yeah we made the mistake of going on Stitch. Never again.
Before leaving Tomorrow we saved the galaxy with Buzz Lightyear. You're welcome!

When we were there New Fantasyland was still being built but I had seen pictures of the construction and really wanted to see if there was anything we could see so off we went. By this point it was getting dark so these photos are even worse than normal! Worse you cry? How can they be worse??

I think we went to Be Our Guest but I'm not 100% what night we went there first. So I'm going to say that it wasn't this night then I can keep those photos for later Gotta eeek them out!

Right its settled we are just going to make it up!
By this point we were tired and started to make our way out of the park. The castle had its lights on and it looked so beautiful.



.....But you'll just have to trust me!

We said goodnight to MK and headed up the Monorail ramp back to CR. I love the fact it was only one stop and we were home! Pretty snazzy.

Because we didn't go to BOG (maybe we did who knows!) we went to Contempo Cafe and got some posh nosh, i.e.. burger and fires and took it back to the room. We watched the Disney channel, because I'm 5, before we hit the hay getting ready for our next big day!

I'm so so sorry about your fur baby. That's so hard. You have some good "cheer up" strategies in use though!! Love your MK pics...haven't been at Christmas time in forever...it's so cheerful and happy looking!! Well it always is that...but even more so at the holidays.

On Saturday one of my fur babies, Tazer, passed away from cancer. He was 10 which is a good age for a Rottie and with his diagnosis it wasn't a total surprise but it was still so so heartbreaking.

Lu~ Oh my dear I'm so sorry for your loss. He was such a sweet faced fellow hold on to the beautiful memories you have of him. I'm thinking of you. Love, and hugs always ~Rebecca

So last time we went back in time so now lets go....

Anyway I thought I would do some more day outlines. I think I was up to Day 2? Sounds about right lets go with that!

Day 3: September 16th

This will be check out of GF, check into AKL day. So I am thinking we will check out, give our bags to bell services to move over and then hit up Epcot. My only really wanted Fastpass+ would be for Test Track. Obvs we will try for Sorin' as well, but then I dont really know what to get a Fastpass for
The main event will of course be the adult beverages of World Showcase!








If we are still able to walk by this point then we will head back to AKL and check into our room and probably spend the rest of the afternoon trying to spy the animals!

As far as ADR's are concerned I think we will eat at AKL probably Sanna. Then back to the room!

Day 4: September 17th

Our first Animal Kingdom day!
Now I do have wished for Fast passes!
1. Expedition Everest because I love it so so so so so much!!
2. Kilimanjaro Safari because animals! Duh!
3. Dinosaur, it has dinosaurs

Now as AK has EE that means I have to go on it at least twice...or three times...or four... So that will be on the agenda!
For ADR's we might do Jiko, get the AKL ones done while we are staying there!

Day 5: September 18th

Animal Kingdom again today

Pretty similar fast passes as the day before because I love them!
ADR will probably be Yak and Yeti as I am planning to book the Night Safari
Which I am a teeny tiny bit excited about!



So that's where I'm up to thus far!
