I was petting my kitten/cat this morning and discovered some "things" attached to him on the back of his neck. For the past few days I've found tiny little scabs and wondered WTH? These "things" look like tiny woodticks (bigger than deer ticks, smaller than dog ticks) in an orangy/tan color. My eyes aren't good but DD said she thought they were moving.

Are you :sick: yet? I didn't search any further for more but he got on my lap again tonight and they are still there and I'm still picking tiny black things off his skin around his neck area.

I just went online and see something called mange mites? Is anyone at all familiar with them? I put a call into my vet because according to what I've read, they are treated with antibiotics AND they can go on humans. Are you kidding me:sick::sick: Yup, its the sick icon again, lol.

I've never had a cat, always dogs and I'm used to dog ticks even when they get fat and fall off but my dogs never layed in my lap or were in my closet all over my clothes, etc. I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around something called mites:laughing:
