I love reading about the arrival day excitement-- nothing is better!! Justifying buying trashy (but awesome!) magazines, even airport food-- I swear, it's all so exciting when you're going on a trip. At least to me.
That's so amazing that there was literally no one at the ME line. I can't imagine that in July...maybe the people on your flight got lost...very lost?? Glad you arrived at Pop quickly and safely and can't wait to read the next update!!

It sounds like the first day could not have gone any better for you. Easy flight, DME magic, check in was easy... I wish every trip could be that way.

Tink - that is disappointing about CP and the characters. We had such a great experience with Dylan there and we have rebooked it for our next trip. Now I am a little worried. When we were there, the characters spent a good amount of time with him. So sorry that wasn't the case for you. It looks like the Little Guy still had a good time.

Yay!! Kristen I'm glad to be reading posts of you being there!! And ahhhh I can't believe we were in the same building!! I love it!! I was 3rd floor though. But ahhh your post brought back so many memories!! I'm just bustling with excitement now!! I love all the pictures you took!! It's awesome.

Oh and I just had to say...I had exactly two extra luggage tags. Dustin and Steph shared a bag so they shared a tag and then we were also sent one for Landon who shared with me!

Little Guy is too cute, I took my boyfriend on his first Disney trip in 2009, and it was so much fun seeing everything through his eyes. There really is nothing like your first time at WDW.

Hi guys, just checking in. Sorry for the delay again. Like Tink said, my laptop was returned to me and worked for about 30 mins. I brought it back to the guy and after another $160, I will have it back tomorrow. Tink just went back up to school and didn't come home this weekend like she usually does and had no pictures on her computer up at school. But, I can PROMISE, pinky promise with sugar on top, an update tomorrow night. Since this is where Tink and I meet and are together for a period of time, we're just gonna do one update with commentary from both of us. Thanks for hanging in there everyone.

Thanks again everyone for being so patient with us. Chris picked up my laptop for me earlier. It’s a mess, the files are all over the place and for whatever reason, when the computer tech guy copied my old hard drive onto the new one, it copied every picture and every document I’ve ever looked at/written was on there. I actually just deleted all the pictures off and started from scratch, losing a lot of pictures in the process. Luckily, I still had our WDW pictures on my camera memory card and the ones from the two prior trips are on photobucket. Many of the older pictures that were not Disney related are on Facebook so I’ll survive. Anyway, I’m here now! Like I said in an earlier post, since Tinkgurl and I were together for this part, we’re just going to write one update. I’ll write this one and she’ll pop in with her commentary in a different color font. There’s a little part that she still needs to add before we met up and she’ll throw that in when she goes back home from school either Thursday night or Friday. So, without further delay, here we go, on with the big meet!!

When I last left off, Chris and I were on our way to the bus stop to go meet up with Tink and her Fiance at the MK! Of course I was soooo excited to be on our way to our first park and we’d only been in WDW for less than an hour! And, the anticipation of FINALLY meeting my BFF, Tinkgurl and her Fiance, was more than I could even handle. We headed to the bus and I have it in my notes that we were on a bus, pulling out of Pop by 11:40…our timing was AMAZING!

The ride from Pop to the MK was maybe 20 mins, probably a little less.

The whole time Kristen was on her way, we were texting each other freaking out. Fiance could tell I was getting so excited! While they were checking in to Pop and heading over to MK, Uncle, Cuz, Sis, Fiance, and I all rode Space while Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, and Little Guy rode Winnie the Pooh, Granny and Papa did CoP while Mom and Dad took Little Guy on the People Mover. Then, once we got of Space...we ran into Chip and Dale so we found where Little Guy was and got in line to meet them. While we were in line for them, Mom went and got in the huge line to meet Buzz Lightyear. *I'll post pics from both meets when I get back home*

After we met Buzz, we went back on the People Mover to kill some time before Chris and Kristen made it to the MK. By the time we got off there, they were walking to CHH! So Fiance and I said bye to the family who were going back to the Resort to rest.

Meanwhile...For Kristen...It definitely felt like a shorter trip than the ride from AKL to the MK we had in December. As the week goes on we will love the location of Pop more and more. I think I was slow jogging into the MK at this point haha I still managed to snap a few shots on the way in. I think I was actually in shock still that I was back in my favorite place in the world and was kind of in a fog lol

I can honestly say I’ve never seen this many people coming off of the boat from the TTC before. Definitely made me really nervous what kind of crowds we had in store for us for the rest of the 9 days.

I finally got to see all the refurbishments that were going on around the MK that I had seen in so many pictures.

Tink and I were texting the whole time. She and her Fiance (I’m going to call him DF from now on) were just finishing riding Space. We pondered a little bit on where to meet for lunch…we decided on meeting at one of my favorite CS places in WDW…Columbia Harbor House! I’m pretty sure Tink had never eaten there before. And now to disappoint everyone…we have NO picture of the actual meet of Tink and I. I know, we’re terrible TR writers and DISers. Pleaseeee forgive us! We were just too caught up in the moment of meeting to be thinking of taking pictures. Chris and I got to CHH first and were thinking, “Great, we’re sweating like pigs and now we are going to meet them for the first time and look like hell.” We were sweating a lot since I insisted we basically jog to CHH lol and we had been up since before 5am and traveled. OH well, it was too late now because not 5 mins later, Tink and her DF walk in! My first impression? She’s so tiny!! Haha But of course, beautiful! We all exchanged hugs (the boys shook hands haha) and jumped on line to get some food.

I think Fiance and I practically sprinted from Tomorrowland to CHH. The whole time we were walking there, I could not believe that I was finally going to meet Kristen. I was going to be able to hug her and talk to her in person! As soon as we saw them waiting inside the front door, I ran up to her and we hugged. And then apologized for both being sweaty. haha.

Chris and I were soo hungry since all we had eaten were the bagels in the airport. Chris ordered the Anchor’s Aweigh sandwich and the apple crisp for dessert. I order the Fried Shrimp and the apple crisp. If you haven’t even seen pictures of the 4 of us (or just never realized), Chris and I are obviously the larger of the two couples lol To make us feel really large on our first face to face meeting, Tink and her DF ordered a salad…to share lol Now I know that they had gotten into CP late and probably had just finished breakfast a little over an hour ago but I didn’t know that at the time. Sorry girl!

haha We didn't mind sharing lunch! We just wanted to spend some time with them before we had to split.

Apparently I forgot to take a picture of Chris’ sandwich. So while we’re on line ordering, a CM notices the “Just Engaged” pins Tink and her DF were wearing. She starts talking to them and after they order I look over and they’re gone. So Chris and I finish ordering and we’re looking around for them and we still can’t find them. Then all of a sudden we hear “Chris! Kristen!” coming from somewhere…we didn’t know where! They yell again, “Chris! Kristen!” and we look up…they were escorted upstairs by the CM! Two minutes later the same CM is back by us escorting us upstairs to meet up with them! When we get up there we see that they were in a roped off area! We were VIPs! To top it off, the sweet CM went back downstairs and grabbed Tink and her DF’s food for them and brought it to the VIP area. She made sure we all had everything we needed and talked to us for a little while telling us how long she’d been working at WDW and asking Tink and her DF if they were going to honeymoon in WDW. Of course she said they were but their wedding isn’t until August 2012. So, left alone in our little VIP area, we talked and heard about what they had done so far that day. It was so surreal, finally meeting someone who I talk to everyday in person. She was just as I expected her to be, but better! It was so great and knowing that we had so many more days to spend together was even better. We finished eating and weren’t sure what we were going to do next. We exited CHH and stood outside for a minute to decide.
