I am having a good time looking at all of the background people in your pictures!!! Sometimes the clothes are making me laugh and others it is expressions!!!
Isn't the Dis just the greatest? It's hard for "outsiders" to understand but it is such a close community Five and maybe more of us have a trip planned together for next May

July 20, 2010 *continued*

We left off with Kristen and Chris heading back to POP while Fiancé and I headed to the Contemporary…but wait! Put on the brakes! We need to rewind some back to earlier in the day…before the meet. I am finally home from school, so I was able to upload some more pics!

As we were finishing up eating at the Crystal Palace, Sis, Fiancé, and I decided to take Little Guy and Cuz over to Dumbo since it was a must-do! As we got closer to the line, Little Guy and I were chanting “Dumbo! Dumbo! Dumbo!” And of course, as soon as we get in line, we notice a little stand right near the line selling those water squirt fans. We had been wanting to get one for Little Guy, so Sis and Little Guy hopped out of line to get one. Usually, we don’t separate or get out of line, but the Dumbo line was hardly moving, so Sis and Little Guy were able to get right back in without having to go past anyone.

Here he is happy as a clam with squirting himself, haha:

Like I said, the line was hardly moving, so Little Guy got tired of standing really fast. So you know where he went:

Before too long, we saw Mom, Dad, Uncle, and Grandma and Grandpa heading our way. Uncle came and got in line with us so we’d all have someone to ride with. Of course, Little Guy wanted to be with Fiancé, so I went with Sis and Uncle went with Cuz.

I turned around in our Dumbo and made them smile for me:

Dad was up along the fence waving at us the whole time:

Once we got going, I got a really good pic of the Fantasyland construction where 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea used to be:

Little Guy was having a blast. We could hear him laughing the whole time:

As our Dumbo’s went all the way up, so everyone was at the top, I turned around and just soaked in the moment. Little Guy was having the time of his life…and then we started going back down. I was SO afraid that he was going to throw a fit and not want to get off. But, all he did was say “It’s over?!” then got up- so we were good! As Dad took Little Guy and distracted him, Uncle, Sis, Cuz, Fiancé, and I headed over to use our Space FP’s while the others took Little Guy on Pooh:

Then, while Grandma and Grandpa did CoP, Mom and Dad took Little Guy on the People Mover:

By that time, we were heading out of Space and walking towards them when we saw Chip and Dale were doing a meet and greet! Little Guy was so disappointed that we didn’t get to meet them the night before at Chef Mickey’s so we jumped at this opportunity to see them. We called Mom and she hurried him over. Just in time too! We were the LAST ones that the CM let get in line! Whew! She was so nice and gave Little Guy a Buzz Lightyear sticker for doing so good in line. He had me put it on over his “1st Visit” button. Before I knew it, it was our turn:

He ran right up to them:

Chip and Dale were in love with him. They kept hugging him and high-fiving him. He thought he was so cool. He gave them more hugs and then we said bye. As we were leaving them, Sis checked her phone and got a text from Mom. She was over by the CoP in line for Buzz! So we hurried over there and she got out of line and Fiancé and I got in line with Little Guy. He was SO excited. We had been practicing before we even got to WDW what he was going to do with Buzz: To infinity and beyond! We got pics from Sis’s camera and Mom’s camera for this meet:

He didn’t know what to think of Buzz’s hard body, haha. Then he had to show Buzz his sticker he just got of him:

Then, he told Buzz what we had been practicing. So, they posed like that for the pics. To infinity and beyond!:

Then, he yelled for Cuz to come in the pic:

He had a blast with Buzz. We thanked Buzz and Little Guy waved him bye. Then, we decided to all do the People Mover since we were right there. While we were on there, Kristen and Chris were making their way into the MK. So when we got off, everyone else was heading back to the Contemporary to nap/cool down and Fiancé and I headed off to CHH…which you already know about!

Dumbo just gets me everytime. There's just something about it... and seeing your little one's face while they're riding it. It's pure bliss!

The pictures of Little Guy with Buzz are absolutely priceless! (Toy Story is a huge obsession in this household!)

I can't wait to hear about the Spirit of Aloha!

I got behind and boy did I miss a lot. The meet was so great. And getting the VIP treatment. I've met some really great people here on the Dis, meeting some more from Scotland in just a few weeks.

Oh my goodness...the Dumbo pics are too cute!! I know it's such a simple ride, but it is so much fun! I love soaring over Fantasyland.

The Chip & Dale and Buzz pics are just priceless. I love that Little Guy has no fear of the characters. Chip & Dale are always a lot of fun to meet. Madison had a tough time hugging Buzz too...something about his plastic body.

I'm happy you posted a picture of what it looks like beyond the construction walls. My DH and I were at dinner on Monday night with his aunt and she had just been in MK and told us you could see the construction from Dumbo. Still looks like a bunch of dirt to me...

Thanks! I tried to think of something to get him to interact with the characters and 'to infinity and beyond' was perfect for Buzz.

HI Tink! I just got back from our amazing trip, and am just popping in to see what i've missed!! Great to be back reading your lovely report!!

This will be a good picture to look at in the future when Fantasyland is finished, since you can see all the way back to Toontown in the background. It will look very different on the left-hand side, I bet. Plus, it's cool that you can see Space Mountain and BLT back there, too.
