Hi Everyone! My name is Olivia and I've been lurking around the boards for a while now starting to plan this trip! Planning this trip has been therapeutic in a way. It's a light at the end of a dark tunnel if you know what I mean.
One day my best friend, Becky, looked at me and said for years she had told herself she would ride space mountain on her 40th birthday. She had told the right person because I knew I couldn't let an opportunity like that pass me by. There has been a lot of heartache for my Becky and her sister, Cindy, the past 6 months. After the death of both of their parents, and an old friend, as well as her sister going through radiation, we've been dealing with a lot of heavy stuff. This is when I sprang into action. Now more than ever my friends needed something to look forward to. So now I'm in the business of making my friends' birthday wishes come true! We will be going to Disney September 20-26, 2015. This week will encompass both Becky's and Cindy's birthdays! Fingers crossed for Free Dining! We will be staying at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in 2 Standard Rooms, conjoining. Along for the trip is Me and my DH, Jon, Becky and her sister, Cindy and last but not least our friends Alex and Crystal. That's 6!
Its my first time around planning a trip on my own, but have been taught by the best (my mom) and have been on at least 20 trips in my lifetime. I will go ahead and post all the plans I've made so far, and of course its all subject to change!
Saturday September 19 - Leave for Orlando, stay in off-site hotel for the night. Maybe eat a meal and explore Downtown Disney (this will be out of pocket)
Sunday September 20 - Check out of off-site hotel and Check in to Coronado Springs Resort. If our rooms are not ready we can leave our luggage with guest services and go on to our first park. I hope to be in EPCOT around 11am-12pm. We will focus on Future World this day. Dinner at Garden Grill.
Monday September 21 - Plan to hit Hollywood Studios hard in the AM. Thinking about having earlier dinner at Sci Fi Drive In. Or possibly scheduling a signature restaurant this evening.
Tuesday September 22 - Return to EPCOT to tour World Showcase. The Food and Wine Festival will be in full swing so we can participate in that if we wish. I was thinking Biergarten for our meal here. Also plan on seeing the Illuminations Fireworks show this evening. (After lots of beer at the Biergarten)
Wednesday September 23 (Cindy's Bday) - MAGIC KINGDOM (duh) Plan on eating at Be Our Guest restaurant. Right now I'm thinking for lunch. We will hang around to watch the Electrical Light Parade that evening as well as fireworks. Not sure about table service yet this day.
Thursday September 24 - Animal Kingdom. Will hit the park in the morning. Thinking will we eat an early dinner at Ohana. We can also use this evening to explore whatever we like. I had a request for Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk. We could also go snacking & drinking around later that night.
Friday September 25 (Becky's bday) - MAGIC KINGDOM. We will be eating an early Breakfast at the Crystal Palace (buffet) with Pooh Bear, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger. And Hopefully doing our Pirates & Pals fireworks cruise this evening.
Saturday September 26 - depart
My ADRs are in 2 weeks and as you can see I still have some decisions to make!! Any suggestions on your favorite Signature Restaurants? Or a table service for our first MK day? It can be in park or resort, doesn't matter.
