yes there is some REALLY DUMB stuff, but, boy can there be some real gems.

I was just messing around there when out of the blue I decided to do a search on Robert Hazard and the Heroes ( 1980's band out of Phlliy... anybody remember the MTV hit "Escalator of Life"? ).

Well, it was actually there! Then, that led me to some Old Hooters videos. which led me to some of The A's, which led me to some Berue Revue..... and so it went. ( all Phiily bands I used to go see )

I just relived my 80's in about 25 minutes.

SWEEEEEEEETTTT.

Now you got me looking on You Tube.
There was a group called the Badlees back in the 90s. They only had one song that played maybe one little bit on the radio. My cousin wrote that song.
Sure enough the video is on there. I was surprised because the video starred Julianna Margulies and was directed by Anthony Edwards from ER, too. I didn't know that until now.

That was neat. You Tube is cool.

That's too funny--We just saw Robert Hazard last month. He played at Haverford Township Day (The Township we live in just outside of Philadelphia). I didn't realize he was from Philly (My DH and I are both from Philly). My husband kept waiting for Escalator of Life, but we never heard him play it.

I also love Youtube.

Fun to see 80's Philly stuff!

Robert Hazards daughter went to Shawnee high school with my then boyfriend. She was a snob--acted like she was all that and a bag of chips that he dad was on MTV. I went to a party where she was and she was just so nasty!

My BIL's former band had an affiliation with Robert Hazard as well. I want to say my BIL did some session work with him--but I may have the story wrong.

The Hooters played at my high school (Lenape-Mt. Laurel) back in 1984.

The only people you are missing are Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers and John Eddie!

ever since Google bought them, they've been quick to pull down copyrighted material and they've lost a lot of media. but there's still a ton of stuff to see.

and if you have a video iPod, you can capture and store the files on it.

I remember them all!! Saw some of them too. Berue Revue was one.

My favorite YouTube video these days is a nice little animation called Kiwi. Have you seen it? Here's a link if not: kiwi video

That guy should work for Pixar, IMO.

ok. that kind of made me cry.

I love the kiwi... we finally got DSL so we can watch stuff on youtube now, and I am addicted to it. I like to search for nearly forgotten old videos, and I've been watching Anime videos all day. My kids keep asking to watch kittens on there (you know like "Cute Cats 1012, even more cute cats!"

ITA!! I love being able to watch the old American Idol performances and finding the original version of Sorcery in the Sky last week made my day.

The only thing I haven't come across that I wish I would is episodes of an old Nick at Night show called Mad Movies. Now that would be sweet! :thumbsup2
