Your Ride was almost an hour late picking us up! !

My family just got back a few days ago from our wonderful trip to Disney World, and I would have to say the only thing that went wrong was our limo ride to MCO from the Wilderness Lodge.

YourRide was fantastic from MCO to WL. Rabittsc was waiting for us, helped us with our luggage, had a Shrek movie in the van for our tired children, and let me do my grocery shopping.

But the return home was just the opposite. We were told (and had a confirmation call the day before from YourRide) that the limo driver would pick us up at 4:30 p.m. for a 6:50 p.m. flight. We were waiting, and waiting. Finally, my husband told me to call them. I wasn't worried because I had heard how dependable YourRide was, but I humored my husband and called on our cell phone. Rabittsc answered and said that a limo driver was assigned to pick us up and he would call us back in 5 minutes.

A few minutes later, Rabittsc called back and said he couldn't get a hold of the limo driver who was supposed to get us (He tried to call him, but the line was busy). So Rabittsc said that he was sending a taxi to get us, and it would be there in 10 minutes. We waited and waited some more. Many Mears shuttles came and went - we almost jumped on one! We called Rabittsc back, and he said that the taxi driver would be there soon. Finally, a taxi van showed up at 5:21 p.m.

It was not the kind of service that I had hoped to get. The taxi driver spent the entire time either talking to his girl friend in the passenger seat, or dialing his phone. I almost told him to stop dialing so he could watch the road since my kids were in the car!

Well, we got to the airport just in time to RUN and check-in and board the plane. We were planning on getting a quick bite to eat at the airport. NOT! We didn't even have time to stop and get a candy bar at the airport store. My 3 year old son was screaming at the top of his lungs that he was hungry. My very hungry family didn't get to eat anything for dinner. It ended our wonderful vacation on a very sour note. And who knows how much the extra roaming cell phone charges will be.

For all of you DISers out there taking YourRide in the future, I hope that Rabittsc can ensure you that his unreliable driver is either no longer working for him, or that he had a REALLY good explanation for not showing up or notifying us.:mad:
 
Gosh! I certainly hope Yourride gets all these "negative" issues taken care of by the time I use them in two weeks!!:eek: I'm sorry you had such problems!

Sense I have started having these problems about 21/2 weeks ago I have let 2 drivers go.
So now I hope I have taken care of this problems!!!
 
Thanks for posting an update Rabbitz. It is reassuring to know that you have quickly addressed the issues you are experiencing. Sorry to everybody that had a problem! It is such a nice part of the trip to never have to worry about the transfers, and upsetting when problems do happen. Hope to start seeing only positive posts!
