Disney is going to ruin the surprise if they don't quit sending me stuff in the mail!!! You would think they could be a little less obvious just in case.
I'm having to be real quick because I haven't come up with a good excuse yet lol.hehe, I know what you meanJust need to have an excuse for the stuff or be real quick in checking the mail. In my case, I roped in my DD in the hiding the mail from her brother, only the excuse I gave her was not exactly the right one.......

That's the one that came in yesterday. If she would have read it that would have been it.Well, they want you to have an "INcredible!!" vacation! But yeah, we've gotten quite a bit too.
Yeh, I'm already having to watch my mouth, now I have to watch the mail and where I put it. This is getting more difficult by the day lol.I've planned one surprise trip and yes, I was freaked that the mail was going to spoil the surprise. I was rushing to the mailbox everyday and stashing mail in hiding places so DD wouldn't see it. I finally made it through all the mailings and the night before the trip I almost blew the surprise myself. I just barely caught myself.
We only got one thing so far (the incredibles pamphlet with the important date magnet) but I was shocked it came to my work. I did use the work address as my shipping for magic bands but I won't get those until October so it was a little odd. Did this happen to anyone else or was it a fluke? If so, maybe you can use a family member or friend as a shipping address.
LOL, luckily I'm always the one who brings in the mail and I usually bring it straight to our room (in part because that is where our filing cabinet/desk is). The kids usually don't think to get excited about mail unless there is a knock at the door lol
We are also surprising the kids (leaving in 11 days!)...they LOVE to bring the mail in, it's the first thing they do when they get home from school (DD always looking for Highlights or American Girl mag/catalogs and asks every day "Did I get anything?") so it's been a challenge. So far so good though. We were like hawks on the UPS driver the day the Magic Bands were delivered because I didn't know what the packaging would look like.
That was the first thing she asked yesterday. I told her nope it's all for mom. Lol.
I shouldn't have to worry about when the bands come. We are supposed to announce the trip before they arrive. I've heard though it's in a nondescript box.
Our MBs just came in a plain, brown box - I figured it would have "DISNEY!" plastered all over it! We were literally staring out the front window like animals, waiting for the UPS man so we could pounce on it before the kids could see.![]()
I'm also planning on surprising my kids with our first trip. I have been nervous too about the mail but all we've gotten is the magnet. And thankfully I was the first one to the door that day to get the mail. I was wondering about the bands although I have some time until they ship. I don't know why I didn't think to have them mailed to me at work. That was smart thinking! I order a lot of things online though so if it comes in a non descriptive box then I can probably sneak it past them without too many questions. It is a bit stressful trying to keep it in though. I'm so excited!!
Mine are all suspicious, they saw the INcredible mailer and started asking a lot of questions. I showed them some of the junk mail from the Disney credit card that was sitting there and told them that they always say things like "Your Vacation" when they are trying to sell it to you. Hopefully they bought it! It's so far away they'll forget anyway.
