hellooo there! I'm Meghan! Its a cold January night here in MA, and I'm snowed in! So what better way to spend a snowy day then starting my pre-trip for May and reliving last years trip!

I hope you hang on for the ride! Here's some background!

The Cast;

This year it's only DBF (24) and I (19)! Last year it was DBF and I and his whole family but this year were going just the two of us. :lovestruc

Here we are last May at Epcot!
n1238070141_30536688_3285.jpg

The When & Where;

We're booked May 21st - 26th in a Lagoon View room at The Polynesian:cheer2: Last year we stayed at SOG and walked to the Poly for the monorail and busses, and DBF was like, "were staying here next time"! :) good call DBF :thumbsup2 I'm hoping to either pay for an upgrade to Magic Kingdom View, or hope for some pixie dust when we get theree pixiedust: DBF thinks paying for CL isnt worth it :confused3

The Why;

Last year we stayed for a week at SOG because DBF's older brother was returning home from Iraq! DBF loved walking through the poly and the relaxing aspect that he didn't know existed for a Disney vacation, so when I got money from my parents for my birthday in November, I floated the idea of a nice vacation to Disney to DBF...he was like, "If we stay at that Hawaii place" :rotfl: So I took my birthday money and made my deposit!

This is going to be an anniversary trip for us being together for 2 wonderful years, and a 1 yr anniversary of his being there his first time. We went last May the week of Memorial Day, and were going for 5 days this may including Memorial Day.:beach:

I hope this trip is everything we've been hoping for. Last years trip was very very commando, and even then, we were spoiled with very very low crowds and extremely short wait times. DBF thinks ToT and RnR always have less than 30 min waits :rotfl: :rotfl:. Were hoping for the same low crowds as last year and also taking full advantage of just lying on the beach and relaxing. :)

Hopefully you guys hang on for the ride through my pretrip/remembering my last years trip! I promise to have LOTS of pictures!

:cool1:

We'll be back on this hammock in May!

I'm here! We'll be done in Disney at the same time! :goodvibes Are you already in a photopass share??

So I'm having som problems with ADR...
Other than Disney torturing me with the change from 180 to 90,

I have no idea where to eat!!

DBF said we should eat at "That steak place in Canada" and he wants to do the Lilo and Stich breakfast at Ohana like we did last year, but other than that he says he 'doesn't care'.

I really want to do the dinner at 1900 park faire with the step sisters but the other 2 ts credits we have need homes too!

Dbf is interested in the Luau, but doesnt want to use 2 TS for it. I have never been to CM and want to try it, but I also kinda wanna go to CG for the fireworks and have a romantic dinner somewhere in there.

Helppppppppppppp its useless asking DBF, when I say, "sooo wanna help me?" he answers with a "c'mon, you know what i like"

boys:sad2:

Hi I'm here! :wave2: B/F will LOVE Le Cellier (the steak place in Canada) :lmao:.

And 1900 PR is awesome! Great food and great entertainment by the step sisters!

The Luau is amazing. Great food and great entertainment again!

We always have to eat at CM's our first night of every trip. It's tradition!

Subbing! I am jealous of you staying at Poly!! I want to stay there soooooon!

Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge is a super fun place to eat, and you can take the boat there from MK. Le Cellier is really yummy too, although hard to get ressies for.

I have a list a mile long of places that I want to try. Coral Reef is good, and tends to be on the quiet side.

And everyone says that California Grill (top of the Contemporary) can be a great romantic spot, and then you can walk out onto the balcony and watch the MK fireworks from there.

Just a few suggestions! Looking forward to reading more!

Sooooo May Hours...where do I begin...

Disney is prolonging the comfortable sane :cloud9: :hippie: feeling I get when my plans all set.

Without hours I feel a little bit more like this;
:confused3 :sad2: :guilty: :scratchin :faint:  :scared1:   :headache:  :badpc: :furious: :bored:

If you get what I'm saying:rotfl:

I got the hours from the DIS and it looks like there's only one showing of Fantasmic the whole time we're there... looks like we know what night we're going to Epcot.:thumbsup2

DBF and I are trying for a relaxing, kick up your heels, lay in the sun, hanging out vacation this time around. We plan on lounging in the hammocks at the Poly and sitting by/in the pool and catching the dinner shows.

Which is the problem.

This trip we want to conquer:
`Fantasmic
`Illuminations
`Wishes + the EWP
`Spectro
and
`The Luau.

DBF also wants to spend one day at an area skate park (he's into skateboarding). Were planning on Friday (the 22nd and our first full day) as a day to get groceries (aka beer for him) and for him to skate and then later in the day head to the Luau.

I'm toying with the idea of letting DBF go skate and get groceries alone and having some Me time in the parks solo. It probably won't happen but I'm still keeping it in mind.

I'm still fretting over what ADR/when and my call day is the 20th! I dont have much time!

:hourglass

:rotfl2: I know how you feel! When I can't plan everything out, I feel like it is just going to end in MASS CHAOS. Which, I realize, is insane, but I'm a planner! I just can't help it. When I was planning the last trip for my family (2006) my brother and Dad decided that they would hide my Disney guidebooks:mad:   and they quickly learned what a mistake that was. Heh....

Great start. Both of you are awesome. Hopefully you will have a great time and enjoy the moment.

Have a nice and safe trip coming. :)

Sooo I have everything Tentatively figured out.

I usually don't even plan what park on what day, but I have to with the new hours since all the nighttime shows we wanna see are being cut and fantasmic is only showing one night during our whole stay. Plus matching ADRs to park hours was never something I was planning but I have now.

Were arriving late on Thursday night so were just going to bed so our plans start Friday.

Here they are!

Friday May 22nd:
`Sleep in
`Pick our Groceries orrrr
`Relax at the resort/possibly DTD and Orlando Skatepark + grocery stop.
`Spirit of Aloha Luau at 5:15pm
`Epcot for Evening EMH and Illuminations

Saturday May 23rd:
`Magic Kingdom
`Relax at the resort
`World Showcase and Boardwalk area
`Dinner at Le Cellier at 6:30ish
`MK for Wishes/EWP/Spectro
(Might watch Wishes and EWP from the Poly)

Sunday May 24th:
`Hollywood Studios
`Relax at resort or oat to Epcot for more WS.
`Fantasmic at 9pm.

Monday May 25th:
`Epcot
Dinner at 1900 Park Faire at 4:30p or earliest seating)
`Evening EMH at Animal Kingdom

Tuesday May 26th:
`Up early and check bags with Bell Services and flight check in.
`MK real quick if we can
`Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch
`Magical Express Pickup (Our flights at 7 so pick up would be at like 4ish)

That's our tentative plans.

I almost had a heart attack today because I checked our reservation on Disneyworld.com and our flights were WAY off, I thought Delta changed them so I called Disney tried to get our confirmation number, they gave me the wrong one,:scared: so I called Delta and everything is right on their end.

PHEW!:faint:

So were all set with that and I picked our flight seats. I picked row 15 so hopefully were in boarding category 1 or 2 so we don't have to wait as long to get on the plane. And deboard faster to see the Mouse!:goodvibes

Were heavily debating on upgrading to Magic Kingdom view at the Poly. Its a bit of extra money but I really want to guarantee we'll be in a good room. I REALLY wanna be in Tokelau but the side of the building I want is all MKV.

I dunno what to do I want to book it soon so I definitely get it, but I dunno.

Hectic!! :p what do you guys think?
