Your worst meal @ WDW and your best meal @ WDW...

Best -- Boma with honorable mention to Prime Time and Marrakesh

Worst -- Yakatori House, one of the few times in 20+ years that I've seen my husband leave "food" (mystery meat) on his plate.

Dishonorable mention to Sci Fi and Flame Tree Barbecue -- we don't plan to return to either of them any time soon! For that matter, there are a few other restaurants we've passed over on subsequent visits: Ohana, Chef Mickey's, Rose 'n Crown. Places we return to over and over: Boma, Prime Time, Marrakesh, Teppanyaki, Akershus, San Angel Inn and Whispering Canyon.

Best-- Easily Boma. It was the first PS I made for our upcoming trip.

Worst-- The Sunshine Season Food Fair at The Land in Epcot. We had some really mediocre BBQ sandwiches there. However, it wasn't really bad, just kind of dull. (We Memphians know what REAL Barbecue tastes like. If you're ever in Memphis, go to Corky's. :) )

We haven't had any bad meals yet, but we've only been once....we're going in a few weeks, hopefully, we won't have a worst to add. :)

Worst: By FAR - Fultons Crab House at DTD

Best: Jiko (so far)

Best - counter service: Columbia Harbor House
Worst - coutner service: Pizza Planet in MGM - inedible pizza

Best - sit down: California Grill
Worst - sit down: Coral Reef

Best: wow this is hard. I think the best counter service is Columbia Harbour House. Best sit-down is Liberty Tree Tavern. We absolutely love that place.
Worst: lunch at the Crystal Palace. We really haven't had many bad meals at WDW. Guess we've been lucky.
I'm surprised to see all the bad votes for Tony's. It was just written up in Food and Wine magazine as being very good. We've never eaten there though, so I'll trust all of you long before I'll trust the magazine.

Our best

Boma (Absoulutely the best on property)
'Ohana (The kids love the games and the food, the adults love that the kids love the food! Oh yea, we love the view and the food too!)
Olivias (Excellent food, and one of the more reasonably priced eateries on property)

Our Worst
Liberty Tree Tavern (Everything was so over salted we could hardly eat and we thirsty all night long!)
Le Cellier (The meal took forever, and three of the steaks went back 3 times to get them right! Our waiter agreed, so it wasn't us!)
Libert Inn - EPCOT (Lines were horrible, food was cold and rather tasteless, except for the grease!)

Other than that, we have really enjoyed our dining experiences all around WDW.

Best: Hollywood and Vine (MGM), both the breakfast and the dinner buffet were superb. We've already booked the FDP there for August.

Worst: Pinnochio's (MK) not so much the food but the service. We were served by someone for whom English was clearly a second language and as a result ended up with completely the wrong order, after an extremely long wait. Hey, I'm all fo giving everybody equal opportunities in employment, but please Disney, make sure they are capable of doing their job properly.

Best - Boma, Flying Fish

Worst - any room service from BWI. I'm still waiting on my silverware to be delivered to eat my meal from a trip about 8 years ago. Also the Brewery at the Boardwalk.

Best Breakfast - Kona Cafe (gotta have my Tonga Toast)
Best Dinner - LeCellier and Chefs de France

Best Counter: Toy Story Pizza Planet,Fish & Chips stand at Epcot,Columbia Harbor House,Rose and Crown Pub side

Worst Counter: American fast food in World Showcase, tiny portions mostly

Best Full Service: Rose and Crown,Sci Fi(hey,I like the gimmick and desserts),Prime Time(killer cheese fries),House of Blues,Planet Hollywood

Worst Full Service: Coral Reef,Cheif Mickey's at dinner

Our best was at the MGM's Brown Derby - Cobb Salad, mmmm.... but it could be a tie b/w this one and Epcot's San Angel Inn.

Our worst was at the 50's Prime Time Diner - I won't even explain what the food looked like - I don't even like thinking about it. . .

Worst--Cosmic Ray's

Best--tie between Liberty Tree Tavern and Restaurant Marrakesh

Fun thread. It's hard for me to compare counter service to full-service so my answers deal with full-service only.

Worst meal: Citricos. Surprised? So were we. We were so looking forward to this experience. DH had to send his lamb back 3 times because they cooked it wrong. My steak was just so-so and the potato side was bland. They only charged us for my meal because DH's was so wrong every time...they were helpful and nice but I'll NEVER go back. This was a major disappointment for us.

Best meal: This is hard because we've had so many wonderful dining experiences. I might have to pick two.

1) Artist Pointe - pork chop and mac n' cheese w/maytag crust. Then, for dessert - Berry Cobbler.

or

2) Narcoosees - the tuna or the steak dish. Yummy!

I think it’s hard to select counter verse sit down also. Soooo I’ll go with sit-down.

Best: Brown Derby--each and every time

Worst: Rose and Crown—not yucky, just rather plain dishes (all 3 of them)

UPDATED TALLY! The lists are getting so long -- I have only listed those with 4 or more votes on either list. Please forgive any errors -- my calculations have not been verified by an independent accounting firm. :D

Many people are now voting for both their best/worst table service and/or counter service. I'm just including all the restaurants mentioned together in one tally since the thread started out as a general best/worst rather than categorizing. Am I making sense?

I love reading this thread! Here are my choices:

Worst - Big River Brewing Company at the Boardwalk. The restaurant smelled bad and the food was awful.

Best - Flying Fish and California Grill. I love both equally, but Cali. Grill brings back great sentimental memories for me.

WOW! I can't wait until the "founder of this thread" (my 7 year old son Jack) wakes up so I can show him all of the replies! And how awesome is it that Svenson has been keeping a tally?? I have a few "must tries" for our next trip... whenever that may be!

Best Meal - Jinko and Brown Derby. Service and food were fantastic.

Worst Meal - Ohana! Our waitress ignored us and the food was terrible. Will never every go back.

Best

Full-service: I simply can't decide between, Ohana, Boma, and San Angel Inn. I'm really surprised no one else seems to like San Angel, we love eating along the river under the fake stars, and we've always enjoyed the food.

Counter Service: My family cannot be in Epcot and not eat lunch at the Yorkshire County Fish and Chips. And the hotdogs at Casey's in MK are a close second.

Worst

Full-service: Marakesh in Epcot. The atmosphere was great, but the food was not--beef covered in confectioners sugar was the desert.... maybe we just don't dig Moroccan food. ;)

Counter Service: Pizza Planet in MGM. Waited forever, had to fight for a seat, and then the pizza was bland and barely warm.
