Okay, this one will take a bit of thought.

You know how you can get those compilation CD's with about 14 songs from different artists? Sometimes you see them by a particular decade. Sometimes by genre.

Anyway, if you had the opportunity to produce a CD of 14 songs completely picked by you to be sold to the public - what songs would be on your CD and what would the "catchy title" to the CD be?

I'm going to think about mine for awhile :)

HMMMMMMMMMMM

Almost sounds like a WPASADI Challenge ;) :rolleyes1

I will have to work on it and get back to you :scratchin

ACK! You said WPASADI! You know if that word is said 3 times we might have the undying compulsion to actually go for a WPASADI 3!! :scared:

Okay, let me attempt mine. I'm going to make it my favorite songs from my 14 most favorite bands...

1. Killer Queen - Queen
2. Train in Vain - The Clash
3. Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
4. Mr. Blue Sky - ELO
5. Ordinary World - Duran Duran
6. Desperate But Not Serious - Adam Ant
7. The Logical Song - Supertramp
8. Sail Away - Styx
9. Hotel California - The Eagles
10. Under Pressure - Queen and David Bowie (It's my favorite David Bowie song so I call a technicality ;) )
11. Walking on the Sun - Smashmouth
12. Live and Let Die - Paul McCartney and Wings
13. In Your Eyes - Peter Gabriel
14. I'll Stand By You - The Pretenders.

Guess I'll have to call the CD MeanLaureen's Mega Mix ;) Only $9.99 but wait! If you post "I want that CD NOW!" I'll throw in a set of lovely Ginsu knives! :rotfl:

ok...what the HECK are you all talking about?? :confused3 :teeth:

Ok, mine is a weird country/80's music/just out there mix! Here we go: (in no particular order)

1. Hey Romeo (Playboys of the Southwestern World)--Blake Shelton
2. We are the People Our Parents Warned Us About--Jimmy Buffett
3. How Do You Like Me Now?--Toby Keith
4. Sweet Child of Mine--Guns and Roses
5. You Shook Me All Night Long--AC/DC
6. One Way or Another--Blondie (I think!)
7. When There's No One Around--Garth Brooks
8. Talk Dirty to Me--Poison
9. Easy Money--Brad Paisley
10. Only the Good Die Young--Billy Joel
11. Gonna Hire a Whino (To Decorate Our Home)--David Frizzell. . .I LOVE THIS SONG!!
12. God's Been Good to Me--Keith Urban
13. Anything but Mine--Kenny Chesney
14. Fast Cars & Freedom--Rascal Flatts
BONUS TRACK:
15. Back Where I Come From--Kenny Chesney (It's a bonus track, so he can have 2 songs! :rotfl2: Plus, you cannot discount a song that says, "I'm an old Tennesseean!")

The problem with most of these is that when I hear it on the ipod, I sing it over and over and over. . .DH just LOVES this, as you can imagine! Especially since I get the same parts stuck in my head and sing them again and again.

BTW. . .what's WPASADI??? :confused3

Okay this is a poor attempt at explaining WPASADI. Iknow Kayla (the winner of the first season) and ML (the creator) can come by and elaborate on this.

WPASADI is the ultimate reality online game...kind of like Survivor, Amazing Race and Idol all wrap in one. Contestants competed in a varied selection of activities which showcased their creative abilities (that's why I was a judge and not a contestant :rotfl:). In the beginning, they worked as teams until it got down to individual competitions. It ws really cool. There have been two seasons! :cool1: Sounds like a third might happen! ;)

Great question!

I couldn't possibly choose 14 songs myself so I went to iTunes for the official results - my top 14 songs with the highest play count. This will be weighted toward my favorite songs from when I first I downloaded iTunes (songs #1 and 3) and a lot of my CD collection never made it into the computer (like my main man Bruce Springsteen), but I'm going with this.

1. Bless the Broken Road - Rascal Flatts
2. Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits
3. Whiskey Lullaby - Brad Paisley
4. Hallelujah - Rufus Wainwright
5. Hurt - Johnny Cash
6. Christmas - Blues Traveler (played nonstop for the month of December)
7. Good Riddance - Green Day
8. Miami 2017 - Billy Joel
9. Cowboy Take me Away - Dixie Chicks
10. I Don't Like Mondays - Tori Amos
11. Run - Collective Soul
12. The Old Apartment - Barenaked Ladies
13. Breathless - The Corrs
14. Pour Some Sugar on Me - Def Leppard

For the title? I'd have to say "Eclectic Soul"

Only 14 songs huh??

this was a tough one
I will say these are in no real order of like
they are just as I thought of them....

but here goes
1.Paradise by a dashboard light.....Meatloaf
2. Killer Queen .... Queen
3. Seasons in the Sun ....can never remember who sings it
4. Rain on the Scarecrow....John Cougar
5. Stairway to Heaven ....Led Zeppelin
6. Hungry like the Wolf...Duran Duran
7. Sail Away.... Styx
8. Hotel California.... The Eagles
9.Welcome Home (Sanitarium)...Metallica
10. Summer of 69.... Bryan Adams
11.Sweet Home Alabama....Lynard Skynard
12. Comfortably Numb....Pink Floyd
13.Daddy's Hands....Holly Dunn
14.Grandpa...The Judds

Okay that is a wide range
I tried to pick something from all the areas
but it was hard

i may have to do another 14
