There 6 & 9. Unfortunately will do so much running around with sports, cheerleading that yes they are used to eating late.

Hi,

My two thoughts (especially since this is your first trip) are first--that you are burning a lot of touring time sitting in restaurants.

Mid-June starts to get pretty busy at WDW. If it were me I would get rid of those big sit-down breakfasts every day. That's prime time for seeing lots of attractions. Early in the morning is a great time to ride...the parks don't really fill up until 10:30 or so and if you are having a big breakfast each morning you will not be able to take advantage of those very precious 90-120 minutes.

Secondly, I would think that's a lot of food--a buffet breakfast then a sit down lunch then a sit-down dinner just about every day.

Just my opinion...:)

Wow, that's a whole lot of eating!! My only concern is the timing of lunch. You have lunch planned, on most days, only about 4 or so hrs after a big breakfast, then no dinner for close to 8 hrs sometimes.
But, if you aren't worried the kids will get hungry sooner, rather than later, go for it!!

This is just my opinion, but you are going to be eating a buffett breakfast at 9:05 at the earliest, and sometimes you have to wait a little for a table. If you have small children you will want to wait for the characters to come around to you. So you may be there for an hour or more. Then you are eating another sit down in just a few hours. You might not be hungry by then!

Dinner: Hoop Dee Doo - 9:30PM

We like the Hoop Dee Doo! Are your kids young? If so, dining at 9:30 might be a little late for them.

Tuesday - 06/16/09 - Epcot
Breakfast: Princess Storybook Dining @ Akerhus Royal - 9:25AM

Lunch: Coral Reef- 1:20PM

We really like the atmosphere here and the food was good!

We liked the atmosphere here too! Food was okay, but it was fun!

Dinner- 1900 Park Fare - 7:25PM

Wolfgang Puck Express is DELICIOUS! They have a great variety. We ate here 3 times on our last trip!

Dinner - O'hanas -8PM

You have a lot of table service meals. You might want to think about cutting some of those out. It really is a lot of food, and you will spend hours sitting when you could be on rides, etc.

Hope you have a great time!

Kids and I aren't really breakfast people but they want to do every possible character meal. My dear sister purchased deluxe dining for us.

Ah, lucky you. I figured there was a deluxe dining plan involved. Hey, better to have too many ADRs than to have too few...especially with kids. They are going to have such a great time!!!

Not a fan, however, The Plaza is AMAZING (maybe switch?)! Great sandwiches and yummy ice cream sundaes, we do this every trip at least once.

Dinner: Whispering Canyon - 9:15PM
Are you staying at WL? If not, I would nix this one as it's not worth the travel to WL. I'm not crazy about the wait staff's antics (you may want to research this place, and don't ask for more ketchup). 2 of our family members were ill when we went there, you have to make it VERY clear you don't want to play their "games." That being said, some people enjoy this.

Good choice for AK, especially for characters!

Lunch: Yak & Yeti Restaurant - 2:00 PM

Dinner: Hoop Dee Doo - 9:30PM

Breakfast: Princess Storybook Dining @ Akerhus Royal - 9:25AM

If you have Aquarium restaurants where you live, those are much better than this. If not, it has a nice theme, but there are so many delicious restaurants in Epcot I would consider something else. San Angel Inn is really cool and very good (and I'm not a fan of Mexican) - you can even boat ride inside the restaurant! I think this would be just as much fun for the kids.

Dinner: Teppan Edo - 8:40PM
So good and entertaining!

Wedensday - 06/17/09 - Hollywood Studios
Breakfast - Playhouse Disney Play N Dine 9:00AM
Ok food, but then again there aren't many options in this park.

Lunch - Sci-Fi Dine In - 1:25PM
Fun theme, but not great food. Still worth it for the theme as your kids will get a huge kick out of it (and won't ever forget the experience)!

Dinner- 1900 Park Fare - 7:25PM
Love this place and it has fun characters! You may want to consider a Fantasmic dinner package if they are offering Fantasmic the night you go. We did the package with Brown Derby, a very yummy restaurant and we got VIP seating with the meal. The only downside with BD is the 2 sit down credits, but there are other options for the package if you are interested and want to use only one credit. Fantasmic is a must see on your trip!

Hope that helps! I love the deluxe plan, if you find you have too much going on just cancel something while you are there! You will love the flexibility!

One more note: I see you are doing a lot of resort hopping during your trip. This can be confusing and complicated at times. We always do a little of this (usually for GF's Victoria and Alberts), but be prepared for extra bus rides - and this will mean increased wait times at night when buses are filling up with departing guests.

What park hopping entails: Wait for bus - Leave Resort A, travel to Park (intermediate stop), Find Resort B's bus stop - wait for bus 2. At times, this may take an hour! There isn't travel from one resort to another, always plan a stop at a park. You may find with small children at night, it's not worth the headache.

The only issue I forsee is your breakfast times. You have each one during prime touring times. I would either move them earlier or later for a brunch and get a few more rides in. To me the only benefit to breakfast is getting into the parks early and being right there for rope drop.

You have some really great places but that just seems like way too much eating....with it being a very hot June and alot of food you may feel too tired to continue on with your day :rotfl:

The one thing that really jumps out to me is that you are really burning the candle on both ends for the entire vacation. You have them up early for breakfasts then eating really late dinners every night. They may be used to eating late at home, but they are going to be walking around very hot, crowded parks all day. Starting every day at 9:00am and not eating dinner until 8:30-9:30 pm most nights may really wear them down. With your lunch plans, I don't see much 'down' time out of the parks either. I would seriously consider adding some rest/swim breaks somewhere if you are going to do early breakfasts and late dinners.

Day 1: Up at 9:05 for breakfast - dinner at 9:15pm
Day 2: Up at 9:05 for breakfast - dinner at 9:30 pm
Day 3: Up at 9:25 for breakfast - dinner at 8:40 pm
My kids would be a mess just after that 3 day schedule.

I think your times at night are way too late. My son was 9 on our last trip and is into sports so he was used to eating late as well but it's not the same at disney. There were many nights were my mom brought our food back to the room because my son and my niece (also 9) were falling asleep at the table. I also think you should try some signature dining to use some of your credits so you don't have so many days with 3 TS meals. I'm also concerned about the morning times, I think you should keep some of the breakfast meals but drop some as well so you can spend that time in the parks. I hope this information helps. Your kids will have a much better time if they're not so tired. Let us know what you decide to do.:rolleyes1

With the deluxe, you get 3 credits per night per guest, so with eating 3 meals everyday AND eating at some 2 credit places (hoop de do, etc) you may be getting over your credits...

I really cannot imagine spending what the deluxe costs and then eating more OOP (especially considering all the tips you will be paying!)

June is hot....eating breakfast while the parks are cooler and less crowded may not be a good idea...if your kids want the character breakfasts in the park, you can plan on being there at rope drop then have a brunch (and just get rid of the lunch that day, eat CS or snacks to tide over until dinner)...OR there are some character breakfasts you are eating that could be lunch (CP and Playhouse Disney)....

For instance, MK day, get there at rope drop, grab a drink and pastry in the Main Street Bakery (using your 2 snack credits each) or grab something in your resort...eat CP for late breakfast/lunch then go to dinner later

With kids 6 & 9, I wouldn't bother with the Playhouse Disney breakfast...it is just Little Einsteins and June & Leo....I was almost considering not doing it for my almost 3 year old

I agree that some of the dinners are very late...after walking around in the June sun for hours, you will all be tired.
