What will be the effect of this year's busy hurricane season on September 2005?

Will people be less likely to plan their "dream trip" during hurricane season?

If you had a trip scheduled, has all the second-guessing and anxious waiting diminished your vacation, even if you went?

Will people be more likely to buy trip insurance if they schedule?

Will they decide this was a drastic year and go for it?

Will Disney be forced to give even bigger price cuts to fill rooms and parks, or will they be forced to raise prices to make up for all the cancellations this year?

Predictions?

Too soon to tell. Judging from this board not too many people want to stay home and wait out the hurricane.

People planning vacations have short memories and I am sure that most of them will return next year.

It is not like this happens every year.

Well right now I'm planning our trip to WDW for the end of Aug. 2005, yes it has crossed my mind but I'm not going to change my mind, as for travel ins. I have always purchased it, giving the low cost of it and the cost of the trip is well worth the price.

We are going the first week of October. If I wanted to go during October again I think I would plan for the middle of the month. I don't know if I could go in September or not. :)

Well, I won't plan another trip for September, I know that! Ours isn't until the end, and it may not affect us, but this wondering is driving me insane! I may look at November/early December next time for MVMCP. I'm trying to get a trip together for DH and I (no kids, shame on us!) in May as a late anniversary trip. Our anniversary is in March, but DH is going back to college (needs a 3rd degree, I guess) and starts in January.
