So we've had threads on what name you COULD have had, and what your name is.

So tell me about your name.

Whats it mean?

Do you like it?

Is it common?

were you named after someone/something?

if so, what/who?

Would you change it?

if so, to what?

Well, my name is Ava

I loved it growing up, because it was uncommon.
But now its the number one baby name.
That sorta upsets me because growing up, Ava was my name, I never know anyone with it, except a little girl in church who was actually named after me.

Change it?
ah. I dont know. It depends how common it becomes, but no one my age has it, so i probably wouldn't change it.

So tell me about your name.
my name is Rachel

Whats it mean?
little lamb/innocence

Do you like it?
yes

Is it common?
yes.. didn't use to be. now it is

if so, what/who?

Would you change it?

if so, to what?
my middle name, Cheyenne

My name is Andrew, it means "manly," and it is annoyingly common. There are ten Andrews in my year alone, and I attend a small school. I was named after my mother's cousin. Given th eopportunity, I probably would not change it, because the only problem with it is its being common.

My name is Pooja.
It makes prayer.
In India you'll find tons of people with this name.

I'd love to change it.
something like..
Bahvanhi or Sanghita. (Cousins names)
But I never actually will change it. Way too used to it.

My name is Alexandra.

People call me Alex.

It wasnt common in my last school; its very common in my new school. So I guess its sort of in between.

My name means protector of men and is the feminine form of Alexander.

I wasnt named after someone.

Would I change it? Hmm, maybe.
Its sort of long and I would like a shorter name, but for now I'm good. ;)

oh, and my name either means ''water'' in Persian or "desired" in German.

Whats it mean?
i dunno.
Do you like it?
i guess.
Is it common?
yes. but not the way its spelled.
were you named after someone/something?
my middle name sorta kinda was.
if so, what/who?
my grandpa
Would you change it?
maybe.
if so, to what?
i dunno......maybe jessica, or gretchen, or even cheyenne.

So tell me about your name.
Well.... my name is Melissa..

Whats it mean?
"A bee", the sweetener, or producer of sweetness, from mltz, "to be sweet." Melissa, a common name of the priestesses of Cybele. {SEE: Definitions/ Mylitta}

You didnt say....

o! its brit. short for brittany.......spelled a different way tho. i cant spell my real name on here.......mom wont let me. :)

My name: Caitlin

Origin: Celtic; Welsh

Meaning: Pure

I guess I like. I am so used to it now that it doesn't phase me one way or the other.

I wasn't named after anyone...my name was picked because my parents thought it was a pretty name and I am very Irish.

I love that my name is spelled this way and not the thousand other ways. I think this spelling is the most pretty. (And it is the correct celtic way -- the other spellings are American variations).

I used to be tired of people ALWAYS misspelling my name lol, but I got used to it fast and I completely understand why they would misspell it...it is so easily confused. lol

These are the different spellings other than my own: Caitlyn, Kaitlin, Kaitlyn, Katelyn, Catelyn, Caitrin

The one I bolded is the other spelling that is most true and if I had to pick a different spelling, it would be that one.

If I HAD to change my name, I'd probably want to change it something more uncommon...or maybe Emily.

So tell me about your name.
well, my name is caitlin
Whats it mean?
pure
Do you like it?
no. too common. i hate going somewhere and hearing 'hey, caitlin!!'. i HATE that. though i guess there are worse names to have...
Is it common?
completely, horribly, common.
were you named after someone/something?
umm..i know it sounds odd, but my mom kinda combined my grandmas middle names: kay and lynn. also, i know this sounds even more odd, but she had a dream about having a daughter named katie, which is short for caitlin in most cases.
if so, what/who?
*already stated in the above script
Would you change it?
umm ya, i think i would, if i could have before anyone knew me. that way no one gets confused and calls me the wrong name or anything
if so, to what?
i guess i would like to be named clodagh (pronounced cloh-duh). i love that name, and i could go by cloe, which i think is a cute nickname

So tell me about your name. Jaimie. With two eyes. "Like on your face."

Whats it mean? Feminine form of James. *Rolls eyes* Babynames.com used to say it was French for I love

Do you like it? No. Jamie or Jaime is the way my name gets spelled. Even by family members. My way-too common name is spelled uncommonly.

Is it common? Name yes. Spelling no.

were you named after someone/something? Uh. I think so. A French actress, I believe.

Would you change it?
