I hate to sound like a baby, cause some people LOVE coasters.. but I do not usually..until I do them, then I'm fine lol! But that first time kills me EVERY TIME!:rotfl:

Awee, thanks Beka :) Get your lil mans some bandanas! You'll see a lot of it in our WDW pics.. that boy SWEATS!!! I'm hoping to keep him cool by wetting them with cold water...think it'll work??

So glad that the Hershey Park day turned out so well.

thanks! it was more than I could have ever asked for!

I last left you off with full bellies and sleepy time!

I slept much better this night, than I did the first!

When I woke up, I saw this:

(sorry for the pic, for some reason it didn't save to my phone, so I had to go into Instagram and take a pic of it.... )

They look so cute when they are sleeping! and this pic reminds me why I hate sleeping with them LOL

Once they woke up, we showered and did the free continental breakfast.. same stuff as the day before, but better donuts lol!

I had a plan today! Listen to my fellow Disers and go to the water park FIRST thing!

Before we made it over to the Boardwalk, we took the obligatory front of park pics with Milton Hershey!

223.jpg

225.jpg

I had started a thread on here about Hershey, and of course, I got a lot of great tips from fellow disers! Unfortunately, no one but me believed in the power of the Dis the first few days! A plan works people! You don't have to be super strict, but a nice plan does in fact work!

So finally, today we listened and started at the water park first!

Honestly, thank you to all the disers! this winded up being the best idea! It was hot out, and the water park was empty!

Today we started on some super soaker ride, that takes you a long track and get you wet.. it was kinda scary lol! We all liked it though!

After this, I said no more lazy river, I want to do other stuff today!

So we headed off to the cool water area!

Bob and I decided to separate and take the kids in dif directions, since Jack wasn't feeling the slide I wanted to go on. So Kayla and I went directly to the purple slide again, and then the orange! While in line, this sweet boy/man who apparently worked at Hershey started talking to us. I'm not sure what, but something was off about him. Autistic perhaps? But SO SO SOOO sweet, and thrilled that we were talking to him! While talking to him, he gave us some tips. I didn't know what to think, but when we got done that slide, i found Bob and told him about the nice guy. We decided to try his tips, and what do you know, he was RIGHT!

He told us to look at the slide, it had 2 sides, and don't be fooled, only the one side has the long line, you can go straight up to the other side with barely any wait! I had no clue that there were even 2 sides, and he was def rigt! we walked right on up, past all the other people waiting for over an hour!

We rode that slide about 8 times in a row! then on to the pother slide he told us about! rode that one about 4 or 5 times too!

The only reason we stopped was because my arms were getting tired form holding the dang tubes !

We got more done in that first couple of hours than we had all weekend!

After this I was getting a bit antsy about trying other things, so we started to set off, but let the kids try a couple of more spots in the water area before we left for good.

The water park is a LOT of fun, and honestly, by the time we left, it was just starting to get packed! I will always head there first from now on!

Next up: the rest of our afternoon/night!

This could not have come at a better time

We are taking a mini trip next week up to Lancaster and are hitting Dutch Wonderland, Hershey and Strasberg

My dh is not too fond of water parks, so not sure if we will get over there or not.

Our hotel does have 3 pools, so Trent will be happy with that

My question is, if we go to the park part, would trent be able to see all the water park rides from the park or is it far enough away, he might not notice?

I know sneaky, but don't want him whining if I can't convince my dh to venture over there:rotfl2:

Thanks:goodvibes

BTW...Sounds like a great father's day and I am so happy for you and the kids to have a real man/father in your lives who treats you all great :goodvibes

Thanks kelly!

OK, about Hershey, it is all one big park! no separate entrances. So you coudl very well avoid that part of the park, but if you venture down by there, he will be able to see some stuff.

I'll try to photobucket the map and show you where NOt to go to avoid it lol! If you do go, know that small lockers are $10.00 large are $15.00! If you do the water park, please make it first! you could get a lot done and have trent stay quiet if you knock it out first! DH could lounge in a chair!!

Great morning! When in doubt, always listen to the Dis! A plan is always better than no plan. Glad you got to do so much, especially with the employee's tips!

And here's another plus: NO FIGHTS IN THE LINE on this day:lmao:!!
:rotfl2: Sad, but true! Maybe I'll start grading my trips based on that scale lolololol!

Thanks, its amazing what you can get done early on!

Ah okay

Yeah, thats good idea or maybe i could get him to float in lazy river. I honestly think that Trent would be content with lazy river and saw some areas that looks like water playground. I think he be too scared for the slides

I will have to talk to DH this week and get his thoughts on this

Thanks for advice :goodvibes

That big water play area has big slides and smaller ones! but there is so much just in that area, that I'm sure slides or not, he would be pleased as punch! LOTS to look at, pull, twist, wet there! lol!

Their lazy river is cool too, cause you don't have to get off! you can go around and around and around!

Yeah, I definitely think so

That would be perfect for me since I am lazy :rotfl2:

You ever hear that song Lazy Song by Bruno Mars? That fits me to a T :lmao:

Sorry to hijack your Pre Trip

Now back to your regularly scheduled Program :happytv:

totally glad to help! Believe me, Hershey is not as easy as Disney to follow! So ask away!

We left at the water park! It was super fun!

Again, go there FIRST!! It really does help!

After the water park, I noticed that the REALLY scary roller coaster that Bob had been eyeing all weekend had almost NO line!

I said, DO IT!! He felt bad about making us wait, but I finally convinced him!

I told him to take my phone and I'd get our stuff from the locker while he rode the ride, but to text me when he was in the car to go up!

this ride was ridic! It goes straight up! and then drops straight down!

You could have offered me a month long WDW trip staying in the castle and I wouldn't ride this ride!

He said it was awesome, but the going up part was a bit scary! He said everyone was complaining about it on there and saying get me off now!

After that we did more rides and finally got to meet some candy characters!

I even tried the sky lift ride again.. It was worse the 2nd time around..and I panicked the whole ride!

On our way out we decided to play the reeses cup challenge, which is JUST like BLYSRM!! But not as fun at all! It sure did make me excited for MK though!!!

We hit up a few last rides as there were no lines!

once were done here, we decided to big the park farewell! We still hadn't made it over to Chocolate World yet!

We also hit up the gift shops..the kids got silly!
423-1.jpg

Kayla bought cute Hershey kiss earrings here, and I got a Hershey kiss ornament with 2011 on it! Jack got a Hershey punch buggy car!

Cute pic on our way out:

Hello Chocolate World!
449.jpg

464-1.jpg

We had wanted to make the make your own chocolate bars, but soon decided not to, as it would cot $15.00 per person! I love chocolate, but no way in heck would I pay $60.00 for 4 measly chocolate bars!

So we decided to do the free tour! We each got 2 free Hershey kisses after. it was fun!

Then we decided to check out the gift shop!

Kayla got this cute shirt:

The shop had lots of candy.. but nothing jumped out at us, so we got just a few basics fr gifts back home!

452.jpg

NOW, this is the part I have been excited to post! They have a bakery section there, and the cupcakes were BEAUTIFUL! I had seen someone with them the night before, and knew I'd have to go here!

4546ad3d.jpg

I got a resses one, kayla got a smores one, and bob had a mint one! jacks was plain with green frosting and a cookie.. called the green lantern!

At this point, we decided that instead of going to Red Robin again, or something yuck, that we would skip the make your candy, and movie that would cost a lot and treat ourselves to a nice dinner at the Hershey TS!

The building looked so cute and I was dying to eat there all weekend!

482.jpg

493.jpg

494.jpg

reminds me of the building in Germany or Norway or something at Disney!Cute!

We were seated immediately!

The interior was adorable and bright and fun! Some might not like it, but I love anything overly themed and bright lol!

After a few minutes I asked the waitress if we could sit outside! It was FREEZING in the dining room, and I just couldn't handle it! They were great and moved us right away! It was nice to sit outside and people watch as well!

I took pics of the menu for you guys :D
468.jpg

469.jpg

The prices were NOT terrible for an amusement park, and I am not sure the actual price, but at the end it was not much more than what we had paid for Nathans the first day, and this time Bob even got a beer!

I loved my meal (fish and chips), Bob also loved his, which was not on te menu! He got a combo of two or three dif meals in one! they were VERY accommodating and did not charge extra! I do not recall what the kids got, but they ate almost all of it!

We paid and all went potty before the long ride home!

Some pics while we waited!
489.jpg

490.jpg

Check out the fun little posters you can color while you wait in the lobby! The kids loved this!

495.jpg

496.jpg

and with that our trip was done! We trekked back to our car and said good bye to Hershey!

I have to admit, I was NOT expecting much from Hershey and winded up having a Blast!

I would def go back next year! It took us 2 full days to get the layout of the park ( their maps suck!) But when we did, we were able to tour much more efficiently!

All in all we dropped about 300 between food, snacks, and gifts. Maybe less, but not much less!

Not too bad I suppose! That doesn't include room and park tix though!

I'm sure I am missing stuff, so if you have any questions at all, please ask away!

Hope I was able to make Hershey Park look as fun as we had there!

Sounds like a great last day

That roller coaster Bob went on looked crazy scary with that steep climb :scared1:

Love the pics with characters...so cute

The restaurant looks very cute and food looks right up our alleys

Glad you had such a nice trip :wizard:
