Your life just fell apart & came back together, what are you going to do next? TR UP!

First off, my condolences to you and Bob on the loss of his grandparents. He is lucky to have had grandparents that loved each other so much that they couldn’t live without each other, but also, I know that probably doesn’t ease his pain very much after losing them in such a short time frame. He is a really great guy to be able to still help out with Kayla’s birthday and take such wonderful pictures. Speaking of which…

I.WANT.THIS.TEA SET!!!

That tea set is soooooooooooo cool! I think my mouth hit the floor when I saw that picture! You pulled off a fantastic surprise party, Jenn! You can see the happiness on Kayla’s face :goodvibes: It looks like you guys had a wonderful Christmas too! And the matching pajamas are too cute! It’s also pretty cool you got to spend some time in NYC. I keep telling myself I’m going to take the kids up there so we can see the tree and all of the decorations.

POFQ!!! That is the resort I switched to recently as well! I can’t wait to stay there. It looks just gorgeous! It seems like you have a lot to look forward to with the ADR date rapidly approaching! Can’t wait to hear your dining choices. Happy planning!

ya know, it actually did ease his pain I think. It also brought us closer together, and made us realize how much we love each other. I know I could not live without him. I felt that way when he was just a friend too! The way he spoke about his grandfathers love for his grandma and vice versa was something more beautiful than my words can explain, but what he said is how we live, so I know we will love each other for as long as they did (57 years!) and yes, he is a phenomenal guy for still doing the whole party for us! he's amazing! OK..sorry..I'm getting way too mushy!

I.WANT.THIS.TEA SET!!!
ME TOO! But, it were pricey as all get out!

Aside from the sadness, we had a fantastic December all around! I definitely recommend NYC in December! A weekday may be a better choice though lol

I LOVE the looks of POFQ, so I am not in th least bummed about the downgrade! Cool that you are gonna be there as well! I posted my dining options before, but i'll post the final list..well final for now..or until I change my mind completely about something!:lmao:

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!

I have not been on the DIS since Thanksgiving. I'm going to try and catch up a little at a time once I get my studies done. Just wanted to say......

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!

OK..on with it then! I decided that I would post my days and dining choices with pictures from years past. So every day will not be posted tonight :/ AND allllll of these choices are subject to change. Depending on hours and parades and mnsshp schedule, I may have to re do ALL of it :scared1: But what I have now, I am pretty happy with!

As most of you who have followed me in the past know, I DO NOT FLY! SO, this means we drive! As of right now, I would ideally like to leave on Thursday September 8, at around 12, or 12:30. If we do this, then the kids can still get counted as a full day of school, and with so many days already being used, , we just can't afford that day! Crappy thing is, we live so close to Philly and relatively close to D.C. Both super high traffic areas. Leaving by 12:30 we should be able to avoid the Philly traffic entirely..but D.C... oof. I think we will be driving right into the heart of it! I have no dining choices for the ride down or back..gonna let Bob and kids pick! I swear every year that we won't do the Crapper Barrel again..but we always do!

OK.. so you get the picture! Hopefully, we arrive to POFQ pretty early..but not too early. Stupid me, is just thinking now, if we get there uber early..where are we gonna hang? We only have 10 day park hopper passes, and will be exhausted from driving anyways, so a park is not an option. hmm. I sees a problem here...any ideas..anyone? even if it takes us 24 full hours to get to WDW, that leaves us with a good amount of time to wait for a room, unless we are lucky and the room is ready?? But we most likely be there by 10 or 11... dang it!

OK..yall figure that one out for me..ok??

The plan for this evening is to head over to the Polynesian and do the spirit of aloha dinner. The kids and I have done this in the past and were not fans of it so much. BUT, the company we had then was a DRAG and MISERABLE! I think this time, the food may not be awesome, but it will be a MUCH more fun experience with such a fun guy joining us! My hope is to get a 5pm seating. That way, we can stroll around the poly for a bit afterwards and then head back to POFQ to turn in early after such a LONG drive!

Here are some pics from our dinner at SOA in 2008..Jack was only 2 and Kayla was 7! this time he will be 5 and Kayla will be 10:confused:

WOW.. how little do my babies look? crazy! Next post, our first full day..full of pics of times past!

OK, our first park day will be at...MAGIC KINGDOM! Of course! It is my fav! As you know, we are on the DxDP, so we usually eat two meals a day. Sometimes 3. Today we have 2 meals planned.

We are starting off bright and early at Crystal Palace. We ate here in both 2008 and 2009. Not my favorite, but not terrible either!

PICS!

That's great that Sophia and Joe are staying at POFQ like you guys. I'm a little confused though (which is nothing new). I thought when I sent her a message on FB she told me she would be there when we are there and I know you and I miss each other.:confused3:confused3:confused3

Even the room isn't ready, you could always hang out by the pool until it is. Just keep the swimsuits in an easy to reach place.

Or you could always take the boat to Downtown Disney and stroll there for a couple of hours.
:)

As a PP suggested, I think hanging out the pool would be nice or DTD

wow...the kids look so little.

They really do grow up so fast

Can't wait to read more :goodvibes

My first time to Disney with Kayla was in 2005! The dining plan was brand spanking new, and I didn't know a thing about it! Although, right before my trip I did find the Disboards and it was super helpful(didn't join til 2008, as I NEVER thought I would ever be able to take my baby girl back..let alone 2 years in a row:cloud9: ), but not how it is now! I read enough to know how the plan worked and that was about it! Did not make ANY ressies :scared1: Can you believe that?? and you know what, on our first day there, we walked right up to CRT and got a ressie! We also did this later on in the trip with NO ressie! This was by far our most favorite meal in 2005, and since it was our first dinner there, I am trying to continue that tradition..although Bob thinks we should start a new tradition (can't blame him, he associates our WDW traditions with John.. I however do not, I look at them as the traditions I started with my baby girl!)

Anywho...in 2005, CRT had the MOST amazing food..the past 2 trips was not as great, although 2008 was better than 2009. I'm scared to see what 2011 brings..but I'm gonna give it another shot, if for nothing else but atmosphere! Eating in Cinderella's Castle with my very own Prince Charming Bob and beautiful kids :cloud9:

Kayla and I in 2005. This was also before you got the photo package, I think? This is all inside CRT lobby..no interior pics. Didn't take crazy amounts of pics like I do now! BUT.. you can still see how TINY Kayla was! She is almost 5 here..so right around the age Jack is now..my how time flies! and yes, that is me much less inked, but with a faux hawk in pink and blue and a lip ring LOL

Fast forward some more..2009. Not only did they change from the 2005 menu completely, but this year they didn't even have the pretzel bread with honey mustard butter, which was my favorite part of 2008's trip:headache: I think they hate me. That's gotta be it! BUT, in 2009 we had our friends join us for dinner, so it was amazing anyway!

Next up, Day 2, with more pics from 2008 and 2009! Our park pick of the day and dining choices!

you and I do miss each other :( However, Jophia arrive midway through our trip and will be there for a few days after we leave, which is when I think you guys get there:confused3 I'm SUPER bummed that I am missing you guys AGAIN!

I did think about the pool.. and I think it will be great for the kids and Bob..but I have a feeling I am going to be feeling cranky, tired and unshowered, therefore not making me want to hop in my bathing suit..then again, Bob is super fun, and I may wanna do anything at that point! I thought of DTD too..but again, Idk how tired we are going to be..BUT, it will be right around lunch time and you know what is DTD right?? Earl of Sandwich, aka my favorite place in Disney! It will be interesting to see how sleepy I am this time? John was SUCH a miserable man and never wanted to do anything, Bob is the opposite, so he may be down with anything I say!! Keep your fingers crossed!

Our arrival plan for Saturday is to get there pretty much first thing in the morning, check in and give them our number to text us when the room is ready, and then head to DTD (probably to EOS like you suggested to me!). Since we don't have park tickets for that day, we're going to do our MNSSHP (pretty sure it'll be that day, looking at the past couple of years and according to Touring Plans) so we can get in at 4, most likely.

BTW, Kayla and Jack have grown SO MUCH! Love all your pictures!

Having a partner who is positive and full of energy sure changes things, for the better! Your ex sounds like my dad, so I know how much of a downer that can be. I'm sure your trip this time will be wonderfully different. You'll have an amazing time with Bob, just like I do with Ron. :cloud9:

YES, You have to try EoS! I would do mnsshp, but we are going to be exhausted and I wanna make sure we stay for the whole mnsshp when we do go! I just saw on another thread someone said mnsshp were on sundays.. i dont remember that!

I literally can not wait. I'm like jumping out of my skin with excitement!

After the Magic Kingdom, my 2nd favorite park is Disney's Hollywood Studios, or as it will forever be in my heart MGM !! This also happens to be bob's favorite park! Which is awesome, because most people could take or leave this park! Since we both love DHS, naturally it is our 2nd day park!

As of right now we have Chef Mickey's lined up for breakfast, but may opt to give Hollywood and Vine another try?? (prolly not..remind me to read latest reviews!) The final decision will come when I know who we are meeting up with when and what not.
