Your Fifteen Minutes of Fame?

When I was in Grade 12, the janitor tried to burn down the school. We were out of school for eight weeks, but we managed to graduate on time. There were news crews at the school almost daily for a while.

Cable had a tv channel that aired our high school's tv productions projects so I was on a show I did about my autograph collections. Besides that it was on the local news in the background of a foreign exchange student being interviewed.

Not on tv but I managed to win 3000$ jackpot on a coverall at the local casino.
Almost cost us 25000$ on our taxes since I was on Obama care and that winnings but us over the income level.
Thank goodness we had a great financial guy who had us do a simple investment so that year not only did we not have to pay we got a few hundred back😀

I work in DC. You can often catch me in the background on C-SPAN behind someone testifying before Congress 😂

What's the most famous thing you've ever done? Ever been interviewed on the news? Or appeared in a TV show or movie? Let us know what you did before you faded back into obscurity.

In 1979, I was in eighth grade. We were vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, and The Love Boat (the Island Princess) was docked next door to our hotel, at the marina. My mom befriended three older women on the beach who were from the cruise, and they invited us onboard to see the ship. They happened to be filming too. We got picked to be in a background scene, and can be clearly seen being Julie McCoy and Isaac the bartender. We also met guest stars Donny Osmond, John Amos, Rich Little, Loni Anderson, and Marion Ross. Then my star faded fast.
Lol oh dear... well? F

Oh dear well... I was recently interviewed by Drew barrymore and her panel during the valentines day episode. It revealed way more than I anticipated and had to warn my husband before film date. Lol!!!

I was a hand model in a Walmart toothpaste commercial back in the 80's while I was working at their ad agency.

No real fame. I was on local TV in high school (for a quiz team competition) and I've been pictured in a couple of college brochures.

I'm not really the type of person who wants to be famous, though, so I'm good.

I worked in Hollywood for a little over a decade & was an extra in the TV show called "The Pretender" ... actually I'm not sure if that is what it was called, I can't remember. lol (I'll edit if it comes to me)
I've never really seen the show, but I had a video tape of the episode at one point, but it's long gone now.

When I was younger my girlfriends and I went to Miami for a long weekend every year. We stayed in a South Beach hotel each time and went to clubs, pool parties, and beaches we would never go to anywhere else. We were trying to get in the Red Room outside the rope and a bunch of super tall guys walked right past us toward the rope, we asked if we could go in with them and they said sure, put their arms around each of us, and got us in the rope. Turns out they were some of the players for the Miami Heat. We talked briefly and they went into the VIP room. We walked around and at one point I felt a hand on my rear end. I turned around and it was Jamie Foxx. I couldn't even react before he gave a smile and nod and also headed with his people toward VIP. Best night of my life :rotfl2: :rotfl2:.

ETA: I do not condone men touching women they do not know :).

About 12 years ago, my daughter and I flew to Wichita, KS over Memorial Day weekend to meet the mom that donated her baby’s heart which saved my daughter’s life! Another young girl was there with her mother and that girl received a liver from the same baby boy. The local news came to interview all of us to promote organ donation. It was an amazing, emotional weekend!

I was in a commercial (series but all from the same event) for President Obama (when he was then a Senator). It was just about on my birthday - a small shoot with about 30 people at an ice cream place near Chicago. I won a t-shirt and kudos (and was called a nerd) by David Plouffe for winning a trivia contest about his record as a state senator.

I was in Rolling Stone magazine 20+ years ago. It was the best house parties you weren’t invited to. Lots of celebs and me lol. A friend wrote for them and was the manager of a band that played my house party. We had a few hundred people and the police brought in a car for the late night photo shoot. He was promoting the band but I got to be featured. My parents have a framed photo of me standing on the police car with the lights on. Yelling at the crowd with a mega phone with the police ‘trying’ to get me off the car. Fun night!
