I want to pick up some really magical gifts and souvenirs for family, friends and ourselves on our trip to WDW in October. :wizard:
I'm hoping you can give me recommendations. :)

What are your favourite gifts/souvenirs?

Where did you get them?

Thanks :thumbsup2

For myself - I like to get - Snowglobes, Photoalbums, Mugs, Crazy Hats, Picture Frames, BobbleHeads, Framed Artwork, Toys for the Dogs, and Build your Own Potato Heads

For Others - Picture Frames, Mugs

Most everything I buy comes from - World of Disney - Artwork comes from Art of Disney - Potato Heads are from Once Upon A Toy - all at Downtown Disney

Occasionally I purchase spur of the moment items in the parks.

Shopping at WDW!!! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! DH HATES IT! HATES IT! :rotfl: :rotfl:
For myself or most of the females that I bring things back, earrings, t-shirts, pearl rings from Japan(me).
For the males, beer stiens, coffee mugs, t-shirts.
I also get a new Mickey Watch each trip. I make a list of those that I am planning on getting a gift for and then try to stay as close as possible to it. Doesn't always work, but when I shop, I always see something else that would "just be perfect for so and so!!!!! :rotfl:

Well, we usually don't buy TO much but I do like to pick up a few things.
I like to get Christmas ornaments, the Christmas shop in MK is the best.
Also I bought dd a snowglobe last year and plan to buy her one every time we go.

Last time I was there I found some fabulous bracelets in one of the stores in Germany in Epcot. They were pink or blue beads with swarovsky mickey heads.
They were so sparkly and pretty and looked very expensive but were only about $10. I bought one for sil and one for stepsis and EVERYONE in my family keeps borrowing them, lol!
I will pick up some more in september.
What else? Dh always likes to get souvenir golf balls wherever we go.

Oh! I almost forgot my fave! I love the little photo albums with the year on them!

Just look in my SIG at DD tink room and that will tell the entire story.

I collect hats and visors .Bought some of the mickey head ice cubes this last trip and am liking them a bunch.

Watches, pens(they have some really nice ones), golf shirts, and CDs:earsboy:

My favorite souvenir is the Disney scrapbook I work on after we return from each trip. I buy a scrapbook & all the supplies during our trip & after we return home it takes me about 2 weeks to complete it.

DH's favorite souvenir is the BIG FIG we bought on the last day of our trip.

I love Fridge Magnets~ Last year every store we went in I would buy 1 or 2 or 5 :lmao: ...anyway packing to come home, and making sure we gifts for everyone back home I noticed that I had 26 magnets!

So needless to say everybody got a magnet with there gift's! :thumbsup2
(with enough left for me of course ;) )

Fridge magnets, antenna toppers (love those!! I can't wait to see what new ones they have this time to add to my collection), Christmas ornaments, t-shirts.....those are what we always seem to come home with. I always buy my mom and dad something and we usually get them something to snack on or maybe a fridge magnet or two.

Magnets for the whiteboard in my classroom, those giant cool pastcards, (more decorations for my classroom), usually some type of jewelery- last time I got a Tink watch, some fugde from Main Street (ok.. that doesn't last that long, but I still consider it a souvenir!)

This year I want some earrings. I especially love to get some type of jewelery on vacations because I find it to be a more lasting reminder of vacation, sometime I'm more likely to wear year round. Every time I look at it I always remember what a great time I had.

I collect shot glasses, and WDW has TONS of them. Epcot is a treasure trove of shot glasses.

They make good gifts to bring back for friends & family too, because they are small, relatively inexpensive and nice looking (most of them anyway).

How much do the snowglobes run? Where's the best place to buy them? I might want to buy one for my kids since this is our first trip.

For the office I brought back wrapped chocolate Disney Coins and wrapped chocolate Princesses -- they were easy to put in a candy dish and share.

There is so much to choose from, you most likely will have trouble deciding what NOT to buy! Also, if you are like ME -- it's ONE for her and ONE for me ... ONE for him and ONE for me .... :teeth:

Christmas ornaments from downtown disney :thumbsup2 This year I splurged and bought the Mickey Mouse lights :goodvibes I will work them into my pine swag in my diningroom doorway :teeth:

I started buying Christmas ornaments for myself. DH gets a glass dragon each time we go from the crystal shops. DS buys pirate stuff for his room. DD buys anything..lol

We got shotglasses for Al's collection, magnets for the fridge, a snowglobe with Mickey and objects from all four of the parks, the Mickey Mouse Head ice cubes, Potatohead stuff for me, and a cool scrapbook that I really need to work on!
Wendy :rotfl:

Christmas ornaments/decorations
Picture frames with the pictures that were taken from the CM's
Snowglobes for my older niece who collects them

We get new beach towels. My favorite one is from the Trading Post at FW Campground...not the politically correct Mickey holding a gun. ;) I also love to add to my Disney Village collection. I bring it out every Christmas and set it up under my x-mas tree....the Monorail, Contemporary, Poly, Epcot, the Castle, Snow White house, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin. Hopefully I'll find some more to add to my collection on our trip next month, but I hear these are hard to find now. :( Christmas ornaments. I need to get a new Storybook collection this trip.
