I'm working on redoing my tiny scrap room since dd7 now wants to scrap with mom :flower: but it's not set up for 2 people to be in there at once. So, I'm reworking the area and I'd like to know what is your favorite storage item?

Hi. From Ontario Canada. Some day some year I too will have a scrap room. I just keep putting it off. Why? Who knows. But I have picked up the pack of metal put together cubes at Sams Club. It should make 8 cubes. But I used some of the sides for shelves inside them. Made 4. Just  love them. The other day at Walmart, they had a cute tackle box. Dh said to go pick it up this week. Great for travelling to cottage for small storage.Would love to see your finished room some day.

I love the wire cubes for paper. I also have a 2 door, 5 foot tall cabinet that I can stash extra albums, the photo boxes, things I don't use all the time. Then I close the doors and nobody sees the mess!

hmm, favourite storage item... well I have a tackle box from walmart for stamps/ink... love it. the wire cubes from target, love them. (I have paper stored in some of them and then random other stuff). I have the target ribbon boxes, the target document boxes, and the target cd storage boxes... all of which were in the $spot or on serious clearance (it wouldn't suprise me though if the document boxes came back for perhaps school supply season) they rock for storing foam stamps. I keep sets of paper in the big priority mail boxes that people have sent me stuff in. (just cut one end off in a v shape kind of and it holds paper quite nicely). and then I just have baskets of stuff (ribbon, punches, etc) maggie

VERY Smart! I love that idea!

I want to say that the wire cubes are several rows back from the flashlights and stuff.. of course our stores have all remodelled... try around tools and storage. maggie

I have a set of those plastic drawers on wheels - mine has 6 drawers and is just short enough to slide under the edge of the table. Working down by drawer I store:

1. Punches/edging scissors
2. pens, markers, extra adhesive (the splits & runner that are open are in a small work basket on the table)
3. Mat stacks
4. Various paper items such as the 5 x 7 pads of specialty papers, frames, border packs, etc
5. Packs of embellishments/diecuts from CM, etc
6. Stamps and pads along with unusual embellishments I don't use frequently such as fibers, "chunkier' stuff

This is right next to my chair facing towards the chair, but when there are 2 of us at the table I face it out - more than that and we move to the diningroom and I can just pick it up and carry it out there.

I love this as it keeps things organized and accessible. When I pack for a crop I can pull the things I need and pack them into my cropper hopper. Same on the return - unpack and put away is easy.

I have a book shelf next to my scrapbook desk that holds most of my scrapbooking supplies. However, my favorite thing is my paper sorter. I have hundreds and hundreds of 12"x12" sheets of paper! I found a mail-sorter style scrapbook paper holder that has 12 sections (each about 2-3 inches tall) that holds 12"x12" scrapbook paper. Makes things much much easier for me! Online, they were running $40-50, but I found an eBay store that sells them for $20. It's made of white corrugated card board, and worth every penny.

Hi, just be careful with these because I don't think that those boxes are acid free. I think it takes years for that to become a problem (but if you're like me and *collect* paper some of it does sit in the boxes for years) :)

good point. I did take an old box, had DD decorate it with her crayons and put my Stampin Up Catalogs in it. DH worked on my creating me a new space this weekend, I'll have to take pics and share. :earsboy:

My favorite stoarge item I have is my paper storage system that my husband made for me out of the Target cubes. I can hold tons and tons of paper!

For Stamps -
I have a hump backed clear-ish trunk from Office depot in one corner of one guest room full of the project boxes - also from Office depot - containing my stamps - well, most of my stamps. I have so many stamps that they are now also in a couple of desk drawers in the same room. The trunk sets on top of two of the 5 drawer towers that I got at Bed Bath and Beyond. The towers have ribbons, adhesives, scissors, embossing stuff, card blanks, etc. in them. The trunk is so heavy that the top drawers don't close very good but it works ok.

For Scrapping -
I have a closet in our home office full of scrapping stuff - I used to be a CMC so I have lots of old CM stuff - I did one last huge order of everything I thought I would ever want before getting out. I also have a roll top desk in that room just for scrapping and a bookshelf with doors at the bottom. It needs to be re-organized and I hope to get to that soon because things are to cluttered for me to get any good work done right now.
