What are your favorite Disney Love Songs?

I am looking for HAPPY love songs to make a mixed CD as a wedding favor.

Also, please list the version/artist you prefer.

Thanks so much!!:goodvibes

Can You Feel the Love Tonight? - Elton John :lovestruc

I :lovestruc that song too!! I'm trying to find a really great version of that one, besides the classic version from the movie. Any ideas???

I know of 2 versions that I like. The first being the more "pop" sounding version from Emily Osment. It's really cute, and I like it, but for a wedding favor cd, I'm not sure if it'll go right. That's where version #2 comes in. Steve Tyrell does a lovely standard of the song, and it just reminds me of a wedding whenever I hear it. :lovestruc Here's a link to hear the full thing free once, so you'll know if it'll be fitting. (it's down on the list, you gotta find it lol) You can get it on iTunes too.

Also, I don't know if country is in their forte, but there's a country version of "A Whole New World" by Collin Raye. It even takes out the "princess" from the lyric "tell me princess now when did you last let your heart decide?", so that it's more personal, if you get what I mean. :)

It is so incredibly 70s but I always loved the song "These are the Best Times" from the Disney movie "Superdad."
I doubt you can even find a recording of that anywhere but I just had this song playing in my mind this afternoon so had to throw my 2 cents in.

I LOVE country music!! Thank you for sharing this-I never knew this CD existed!!!

& that Steve Tyrell version is exactly what I was looking for!!

Thanks so much:goodvibes

This is really helpful everyone-please keep the suggestions coming!

I've been searching for some more songs, and I've realized that most Disney songs won't fit the exact situation you want, if you get what I mean. Like "Baby Mine"....great song, but it's about a mother and child. "Someday My Prince Will Come" is talking about SOMEDAY finding your prince, not ALREADY finding him. It's either that, or there's no decent versions of any songs besides the film versions. As others have mentioned, "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" is a good one, and I'm sure you'll find a nice version for the cd. :)

May I point out a couple songs that would be great for a wedding cd though? In the description on amazon.com, this album by Jim Brickman, "Disney Songbook", says that 2 songs on the cd, "I'm Amazed" and "Beautiful" were inspired by Cinderella. I've listened to both and read the lyrics to both, and I'll tell you, they're PERFECT for the cd. While they aren't officially from a Disney film, they're still related, so it should still count. ;)

(Link to the album review mentioning Cinderella lol....you need to scroll down a little to find it) http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Songbook-Jim-Brickman/dp/B000AYQO2E

Here's the link to the album to listen to: http://www.lala.com/#album/432627039620447758/Jim_Brickman/Jim_Brickman_-_The_Disney_Songbook (side note: So awesome that Wayne Brady sings in "Beautiful"...he was always great on "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" :thumbsup2)

I love "So This is Love" - the original version from 'Cinderella'. That was our first dance at our wedding.

Another song I really like is "If I Never Knew You" by Jon Seceda and Shanice (I think that was her name). It is technically from Pocahontas, but it was cut from the movie. The song can be found on the soundtrack though.

"A whole new world." from Aladdin. Gets me every time. :)

Kiss the girl from the little mermaid
you'll be in my heart from tarzan
can you feel the love tonight from the lion king

You'll Be In My Heart gets another vote from me! Makes me cry every time.

Beauty and the Beast--Beauty and the Beast
If I Never Knew You--Deleted song from Pocahontas
Bella Notte--Lady and the Tramp
So Close--Enchanted
That's How You Know--Enchanted
Ever Ever After--Enchanted (Carrie Underwood)

I Won't Say (I'm In Love) from Hercules is one of my favorites, but not sure if it's right for a wedding :rotfl:
