I'm in the market for a new (smaller) rolling suitcase. I'd like it to be no more than 22". Obviously, capacity is important, and I kind of like the ones with 4 wheels instead of two, but really, I'm just curious what other people like.

We have TravelPros in the 22" and 26" (they're fine, the handle of the 26 is wonky, plus I need something small for an upcoming trip) as well as a Walmart cheapy at 29".

We are an airline family and love the Purdy Neat Bags. They aren't really pretty, but they are amazingly tough. I no longer travel for a living, but I've had my bad over 10 years and it still looks brand new. Dh flies every week. He gets on several planes a day and that is a lot of wear and tear on a bag, and he had to recently buy a new one after about 10 years or so.

I see they even have smaller 18" and 17" bags. I also should state that we have the bags with the metal frame. They are heavier than the plastic frames, and no doubt, is part of the reason they lasted so long.

Tumi. I would never buy another brand of luggage again. We have several other ones, most recently the Samsonite Spinners with 4 wheels, but none compare to my Tumi if capacity is important. I did 12 days in China from a 21" carryon only. It holds a ton but is very light, I have put it in/out of the overheads many times with ease.

Silly OT comment.

When I hover over the thread title, Google converts 21/22" to 2.4245 cm. Not only is it unnecessary, it's incorrect!
