your downtown Disney [or nearby] favorite restaurants

One of the things that saddenned me on my DL trip was that there is now only 1 place to eat quick service at Downtonwn Disney, Tortillo Joe's quick service (it was actually pretty good). No Earl of Sandwich anymore, our past favourite Ralph Brennans quick service only has gumbo and it was pretty awfull, no more shrimp and chicken and fries. It was really sad!!!

Doesn't Naples also have a quick services section?

You can get pizza and some other items at Napolini Pizza, attached to Naples Ristorante.

ETA: Oops, Version 6 beat me to it!

I think there is also quick service at La Brea as well. Unless it closed in the past few years and I haven't noticed.

Black Tap is also quick service and found their food to be really great !

Has anyone eaten at Garden Walk? I was maybe interested in Fire and Ice. Any reviews for there?

I like Fire and Ice. Also, Huckelberry's is really good. They only serve breakfast and lunch. I was told they are sometimes open for dinner on Saturdays, depending on what is going on at Garden Walk but I have not been there for dinner. They actually have the best beignets in the area. Very different from the ones at Jazz Kitchen and Disneyland. I have had the Disneyland beignets once and that was once too many. No reason to waste money and calories on those ones with Jazz Kitchen so close by.

We really love the pizza at Pizza Press. We always get the vegetarian option with mozzarella cheese...I think it might be called the Chronicle? It's on Harbor Blvd at the Anaheim Hotel close to Grand Legacy. It's not that far away and so worth the 5 minute walk!

We really enjoyed Catal. The portions were large, and the food was prepared just right, and was served while still hot.

We love Naples and ballast point in DTD. Outside of the parks we enjoy pizza press.

Jazz kitchen beignets for the win!!! So much better than the Disneyland version

Quick Service at DtD:

Tortilla Joe's Taqueria
Napolini
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs
Wetzel's Pretzels
Jamba
Black Tap Shakes
La Brea Express
Diggity Dogs
Starbucks

This is a huge can of worms!

The answer is this: the beignets at Ralph Brennans are more actual, traditional beignets. They are dense and greasy and sweet and absolutely delicious. These get my vote for the best.

The beignets in Disneyland are not so traditional beignets. They are light and airy and shaped like Mickey. They are not necessarily what would be considered beignets elsewhere in the world, but they are also good.

There are a lot of people that have strong preference for one over the other.

If I remember correctly, the beignets in DL are like jelly donuts without the jelly. Still OK.

We love Napels. They have the best pizza. I love the crispy pepperoni! Also the panzerotti is a must try. So delicious!
