Your diet buster Disney Cruise temptations?

Palo Brunch and cocktails.

I also love the peel shrimp in Cabanas. These are generally healthy, but I love mine with Marie Rose sauce.

For me it is easy access to what is not good in qty. Larger ships, chicken fingers from Flo's and the classics, BBQ pizza from Pinocchio's.

At Palo's it is the eggs Benedict (can't get enough of them. They are my absolute favorite thing to eat on the ship)
Cabana's - the hash browns at breakfast
Deck 9 the chicken strips and the brie & bacon panini
Can hardly wait until Nov and our next cruise...

I had a terrible dream that I woke up on the plane home having not eaten the grand mariner (sp?) souffle or any of the other things I've noted that I want to try. Nor did I remember to take photos or notes of what I did eat and I started crying! Terrible nightmare.

That is a nightmare!

Ice cream from Eye Scream
Pizza on deck (our favorite late night snack)
Chicken fingers and fries on deck
Pasta Pursettes (these are so good I order them for my dinner entree!)
Palo Brunch (all of it!)
Drink tastings
Castaway Cay lunch (my favorite thing to do is get their chocolate chip cookies and chop them up in the ice cream)
Definitely the bacon, bacon, bacon at breakfast!
Mickey bars

The pizza. I dont know what it is but I had like 3 slices a day. On our last cruise I gained 7 lbs

It's really more the quantity and wanting to try lots of things rather than any specific food. I'm pescatarian, and the sweet stuff doesn't really tempt me too much, so in general I eat pretty healthy. But too much of anything is not good. Probably the biggest issue for me will be wine and beer. Lots of empty calories.

For myself it's the Mickey shaped soft pretzels! (sans any kind of cheese sauce - yuck). I LOVE soft pretzels anywhere!
For my husband it's the seafood marinara. My husband orders three of these in one sitting (he also can eat an entire box of spaghetti at home).

Who wants to continue a diet while on a cruise (unless you have health issues)?
My favorite strategy is to do the dieting before the cruise (and after). But enjoy yourself while actually on the cruise.

There is a Krispy Kreme in Saco, Maine, if you ever get up that way. We still miss the Medford store though.

How did I not know this? LOL Next time I am up that way for my annual lobster trek or some cool beach water at Old Orchard, I'll have to swing by. Thought all of NE was Dunkins' at this point. I miss Medford too. Certainly closer to me.

Ladyofthetramp,
There is also a Krispy Kreme at Mohegan Sun in CT if you are ever down that way. They are open 24/7 - they don't close!

There are more options! LOL No excuse for eating them on the ship anymore? LOL Haven't been to the casinos as I am not much of a gambler, but maybe to check it out, if they have the Kremes! :daisy:

There’s a pesto orzo dish on the lunch buffet usually at least once a cruise. I can eat that stuff by the pound!!
