Your choice of a Non Disney Movie becoming a Ride

Love the idea of Willie Wonka and Fast and the Furious. Or maybe even a coll Wizard of Oz ride but keep it exciting

Wizard of Oz is too old. Disney wouldn't create a brand new attraction based on a 75+ year old movie, would they?

Logan's Run (the 70s movie with Michael York and Jenny Agutter). That totally cool transparent tubular train system whizzing through the futuristic city. I would kill to ride on that! Check it out on youtube if you don't believe me.

There are a lot of cool scenes in the movie that would translate into a dark ride, such as the nursery, the carousel dance where people are bumped off, the ice cavern where runners are caught and frozen for food, the waterfalls, and the last scene where the heroes escape into the sunlight and meet the wise old man.

And the absolutely greatest thing about the movie:

NO CG effects !!!!

(but there is a cool hologram effect where Michael York tells the computer that runs his world, "THERE IS NO SANCTUARY")

That is an incredible idea. Reminds me of the ending of THX-1138... ...although that might be owned by Disney now since it's a George Lucas movie.

Many good ideas here. Since we are just dreaming here. Star Trek, Fraggle Rock (not a movie), Schoolhouse Rock (also not a movie but a Disney product), LoTR, Willie Wonka (original boat ride), Labarinth, and if you really want to be "old school"....Dune. An Arakis ride with a sand worm attack.
