What's the only attraction that opened on opening day that's original to the park and is still the same thing today as it was 38 years ago??

Main Street vehicles (trolley, omnibus, horseless carriage, fire engine)?

Also, Mr. Toad has two nods in the Magic Kingdom Park... one is in the Whinnie the Pooh ride where Mr. Toad is painted as giving Owl the deed, and the other is in the pet cemetary at the Haunted Mansion, where a statue of Mr. Toad is in the back.

In Pooh's Playhouse (unsure of proper name) inside of the tree in the door is a small submarine in tribute to the submarine ride that used to occupy that space.

love the submarine thing always thought it was cool!

the grim grinning ghost bust with the deep voice (Thurl Ravenscroft) Also voices another GGGRRRRate character (Hint his initials are T.T.);)

Wasnt there a huge thread like this a while ago? if anyone can find the link could they post it?

Carousel of Progress?
Not Carousel of Progress - the final scene has been updated several times (and probably should be again!). Not even Walt was prescient enough to envision the laptop computer & virtual reality games 38 years ago.

I can only think of "It's a Small World" (which is even older than 38 years; it was at the 1964 NY World's Fair).

Or, after thinking a bit, perhaps Swiss Family Treehouse?

For the OP, got this out of the Imagineers Guide to the MK.

The Polynesian Resort is placed precisely where it is because it was originally going to be visible from the Jungle Cruise.

Related, the Contemporary was placed to add to the Tomorrowland atmosphere as it would be visible from there.

Since no one has said whether or not there was a correct answer...my guess would be the train...
