Day 4, Part 2 In Which CHEDDAR CHEESE SOUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My excitement for this reservation could not be contained. It had been SIX LONG MONTHS since Cheddar Cheese Soup graced my mouth. THIS WAS NOT OKAY!!!

We were seated quickly and as soon as our waitress arrived I was tempted to scream GET THE SOUP NOW but I instead showed great patience and restraint and pretended to read the menu.

9993172535_d4f4fa05dc_z.jpg

These menus are different than they were 3 years ago.

9993302003_ce140b8556_z.jpg

THEY GLOW. Very helpful in the darkness of The Cellar.

Looking at the menu I was kind of disappointed. I knew Le Cellier had become a signature awhile ago and now had an all day menu instead of separate lunch and dinner ones, but I guess the whole thing sunk in once I actually saw it.

Now, I like signatures. A LOT. I don't mind paying the high prices. Never have I had a less than stellar experience at a Signature.

However, I really think Le Cellier was better before the change, for three main reasons: 1. There were more options, 2. Everything was less expensive, and 3. Lunch was less expensive than dinner. Because the restaurant once functioned this way, the fact that all the prices have gone up and there is no cheaper lunch menu seems more like a grab for $$$ than anything.

I really hate when people are cynical about Disney, especially new things. I'm never one to say "They're just doing this for money". My attitude is usually good about changes. I miss the old stuff but I recognize that the way of the world is that things change, life moves on. Disney is the same way. However, it's obvious what happened here was they saw how ridiculously popular this place was and realized they could make a ton more money off of everyone. So they upped the prices of everything and eliminated the lunch menu.

Now for someone like me, I'm just paying for myself. It's not that big a deal for me to drop a lot of money on a steak or something here. I know it's going to be delicious and to me it's worth it. But take your average family of 4 on a budget who would maybe always come here for lunch and maybe they now can't. From a business standpoint WHY would you raise prices and eliminate these guests? These are the people that pay the rent, Disney.

Trust me I am NOT a cheapskate when it comes to food. Truth be told, I probably spend too much on food. But I think Le Cellier's changes are not for the better, and I'm certain I'm not alone because not only was it easy to get a reservation, but there were multiple times available on multiple days for both April (when this trip was originally supposed to take place) and May. I actually changed this reservation a couple times and there were always multiple times available over several days, even closer to the date of the trip. This was UNHEARD of a couple years ago. I don't think the popularity has gone down as much as I think it's just that larger families/people on a budget can't afford to do this anymore. Also it's just ANNOYING when you see the same menu items you had before for higher prices. That just makes you feel stupid.

All of this going through my head and I was still PUMPED for my Cheddar Cheese Soup because it's the most delicious thing in the universe.

I decided to not use 2 DDP credits on this meal and just get the soup because it's very filling and I knew that mixed with my immense consumption of Pretzel Bread would fill me up to the point where I'd barely be able to eat any of my steak (which is what I would have chosen as an entree), and I didn't want to carry around leftovers all day in the heat. So it would have been a waste.

Also while I was still trying to decide if I was getting an entree or not, I asked if I could get a steak with mashed potatoes b/c I remembered how ridiculously delicious they were. They don't make them anymore! How are you a steakhouse but you don't make mashed potatoes?! I remember you could always get them and a bunch of other great options as a side, but you can't do that anymore. I asked. It doesn't make sense to me but whatever. As long as I can get the flawless soup here I will keep coming back even if I always just get the soup.

*SIGH* I have a lot of opinions as you can see. A lot of air has been sucked out of the Le Cellier balloon for me but MY GOD THE SOUP.

***ANGELS SINGING SO DIVINELY THE TRIP REPORT MUST PAUSE***

Whew.

Okay.

I'M BACK.

Hula Timon is a huge fan of the soup as well. I made him order his own because there was NO WAY I was sharing it.

9993170154_347890e683_z.jpg

Here's the bread.

9149412962_a432d12db6_z.jpg

The contents of the basket were different than I remember but luckily they did not dare change the heavenly pretzel bread. The multigrain bread was good too but the pretzel bread is my life.

9149403900_73880e3bcf_z.jpg

We match and did not even plan that. Disney soul sisters!!!

Jess decided to use her DDP credits and OBVIOUSLY got the soup as her appetizer. Even though I have already posted a photo of mine, here is one of hers, because Cheddar Cheese Soup should be looked upon multiple times in utter admiration.

9149407476_ac49cdef68_z.jpg

*Sigh* *Singing* I will love you til the end of time. I would wait a million years. Promise you'll remember that you're mine.

For her main course she went with the Filet w/ Mushroom Risotto, which everyone knows is one of the best things to get here. I think the Kansas City Coffee Rubbed Steak is the best though.

9149397734_8fc500c44e_z.jpg

Lee-Anne wasn't sure how the DDP worked here so I explained if she wanted to use her credits she did have 2 left so that would work out, or if she just wanted an appetizer or something she could do what I was doing and use them later. So when the waitress came she ordered the Seafood Ravioli and the waitress was like, "Do you want to use the Dining Plan?" and Lee-Anne was like "If I can then yes, if not then it's fine." and I was like GIRL NO YOU CAN NOT USE TWO DINING CREDITS ON ONE APPETIZER. Omg I almost fainted. LMAO. I'm sure you Dissers understand. Lee-Anne just does not care about maximizing the DDP on any level and it stresses me out. I don't even know why she got the DDP again this trip but she wanted it so hey whatever.

Here is her ravioli!

9147171629_c7124316e2_z.jpg

She thought it was amazing.

I really wanted a Chocolate Moose for dessert because how can you come to Le Cellier and not get the Chocolate Moose?!?!?! Jess was super full from her meal and felt she couldn't eat one dessert by herself, so we decided we'd split a Moose!

YUMMAY. This is Hula Timon's favorite dessert.

9149394778_cdf49ae5bf_z.jpg

They changed the ears of the moose. They are now some kind of chocolate and before they were the same type of Canadian cookie as the tongue. I prefer the old ones... but both are great! I LOVE THE CHOCOLATE MOOSE!!!!!!!!!!

Once we finished I was like "Oh my God, I'm so full." and Jess goes, "Me too, but I'm so happy about it." hahaha ACCURATE

We also talked about Aladdin basically the whole time. We had cartoon hearts pulsating above our heads. He was just SO dreamy. Yes, DREAMY.

So that was the end of our Le Cellier meal. I hate to say it but I no longer consider this a must do. I'm not saying it's not great, it is. It's fantastic. But for the reasons I explained above plus the fact that you can get the best stuff elsewhere (you can get the soup at the Food & Wine Festival and the pretzel bread is the same as the Bavarian pretzels served in Germany)... I wouldn't really URGE anyone to go to Le Cellier anymore.

Ah well. Like I said... things change, life moves on. On the way out I snapped this pic of empty vases over a fireplace? Random I know.

9993169744_254a48f1ff_z.jpg

Our next stop was Japan!

10007709984_c661f5c041_z.jpg

We walked to the back of the pavilion and went in near the Kidcot Fun Stop. The super nice CMs there were making origami and had great pins so we traded. I noticed a Pikachu origami so I picked it up and remarked on how adorable it was. The CM said I could have it, which was so sweet! I could tell Jess really wanted it though so I gave it to her because I knew it would mean more to her than it did me.

9147146051_d42c6f5725_z.jpg

So cute!

Of course we looked around for a million hours in Mitsukoshi. I spotted this AWESOME MONORAIL DISH.

9993168944_ce3e522557_z.jpg

Lee-Anne pointed out that it was actually the bullet train (Shinkansen) that goes through Japan, but of course to Jess and I it was a monorail. We both wanted to buy it but it was $50 and when I picked it up I realized it was plastic! A solo cup is sturdier than this thing and yet they charge $50? That was confusing to us.

I love all the little dishes they sell here.

9993170305_aa34d83b50_z.jpg

I thought it was interesting that the person wearing this sandal's foot was separated into two sections. Hmm.

9993167804_473f1d3f67_z.jpg

Some of the coolest stuff they have in here is the greeting cards. They're really unique and detailed so if a loved one has a birthday coming up, I think it would be a nice idea to get them one from here.

10010303916_18d04d0912_z.jpg

YEAH #BirthdayFestivus13 baby!!

I LOVED the Cinderella and Alice cards.

9993169445_7ef08997dc_z.jpg

Omg, so cool.

I also noticed they now have Lucky Owls in addition to Lucky Cats!

9993166964_6be17259fe_z.jpg

For some reason Lee-Anne wanted me to try on this hat of all things.

10010260624_9751d55815_z.jpg

As you can see, I found the experience thrilling.

Hello Kitty is so damn cute!!

9993298733_0046d18334_z.jpg

Jess and I were saying how it's really good that we're not into Hello Kitty because if we were we'd spend 23889298 dollars in here. Everything is just so adorable and SO PINK.

Day 4, Part 3 In Which We're In Our Own Private Birthday Bus!

Lee-Anne bought a bunch of Sailor Moon stuff and probably other items too, I can't remember. Mitsukoshi is her happy place!!

9993219866_8b39f4ca32_z.jpg

Later Japan!!

This is one of my favorite Walt quotes.

10007510875_b40c35cf89_z.jpg

Oh how right he was!

10007735085_a5b5bca1c7_z.jpg

More sightseeing around the world ensued.

10007838153_da4ea9610c_z.jpg

We were off to the Magic Kingdom so rather than walk to the front of Epcot and take the monorail we decided to go the lovelier than lovely Beach Club and take a bus from there.

There were TONS of flowers on display once you got through the International Gateway toward the resorts. Beautiful.

10007837503_93c5d564ce_z.jpg

And then... sigh. The Beach Club.

9993297783_9d0736ba0c_z.jpg

OH THIS PERFECT PLACE.

10007835273_b078884b23_z.jpg

We went inside to look at their pin book and then out to the busses, where we caught a TOTALLY EMPTY Magic Kingdom bus!

10007615503_cffc6a6172_z.jpg

Once we sat down we heard the birthday announcement over the loudspeaker!!! That made me smile. Private princess birthday bus COMIN THROUGH.

Soon we were in the middle of all the magic we love so much... at THE MAGIC KINGDOM!

10007834173_14e39816e7_z.jpg

As we walked in we discussed how we grew up coming here all the time and now I still come all the time and Jess lives there. She was like "I grew up on this place and I'm gonna die with this place." AGAIN, accurate. This girl just understands me!!!

Wow!! So many updates!! Wicked!!

DHs looks like a great day! I have to say, pizza planet is one of the only places I like eating at there, the food just isn't the greatest! Glad that hula buzz got in there too, and how awesome that Leanne and the cm were able to chat about awesome stuff!!

I've heard of that lamp! I think I've seen a video, but I certainly have never seen it in person!

I've done backlot once, and it's just not that great lol, there are things I'd rather be doing lol!

Yay for lots of pin trading!!

And lots of firsts!

Epcot is amazing, so beautiful! Ah!! Perfect meet with Aladdin and Jasmine that is SO AMAZING!!! They sound seriously perfect. Ah Le Cellier...so delicious! I got the soup and a steak last month and ended up not being able to finish it, I took it to go with the intent of eating it later, but never ended up finishing it. Sad day. I do agree that it's a little too expensive now a days, and the day we ate there they were accepting walk ups...in September with free dining...shocking day!

Yay magic kingdom!!

I am skeptical of new Test Track. I'm sure I'll like it but feel nostalgic for the old one. I'm sure the rest of my party will love it since I'm the only girl. Which is weird. How did princessy, girly me end up on a trip where everyone else would rather take pictures at the end of Test Track than wait in live for Jasmine & Aladdin? Life is funny sometimes. :upsidedow

Ah, yes...a bad pin trading experience and then a good one. I'm wanting to turn this into a metaphor for life, because after your last TR apparently my mindset is "Oh, we are reading Lia's masterpiece, let's get philosophical." :rotfl:

I LOVE the Nemo gift shops. I wish it was all MINE. MINE. MINE. (Okay I'm done.)

The Violet Lemonade looks SOOOO GOOD! Like magically show up NEXT WEEK at the F&W Fest please. PLEASE.

I am all for the "GET UP AND GO" thing. I can only hope my other half is. If not...I am definitely not waiting around. THERE'S NO SLEEPING IN DISNEY!

I am so glad you finally made it to Hollywood. The pretzel dogs look good, but I don't do mustard either. Do you usually eat them dry? Do they taste too dry? Because I feel like ketchup would be weird on them...is cheese even an option? I don't know...but I'm intrigued.

I adore Animation class. You are such an incredible artist. Like MY GOODNESS LIA. Whether it's on the big screen or the white paper, you sure know how to capture the hearts of the masses. :cheer2:

How funny that you plan on having your wedding shoot in front of Pizza Planet. I also want to frolic around all of Hollywood for mine. And yes, I will pay extra to have one ON ToT. ::yes::

Haha I am SOMETIMES unbelievably good at claw machines. One time in high school when we didn't have to spend money on real life things, my friend and I spent SO MUCH MONEY on some and won a few times. Then another time years later, I told my friend that I was a champ even though I didn't know if I still had it in me, and won like 3x in a row! I didn't know they had any at Disney. I may have to go try!

You are just so fabulous with your film making knowledge. I don't find you stuck up at all...just hard not to inform people when they are mis-informed or whatever in your particular field. I can be the same way because in general, people do not seem to understand too much about emergency services. :firefight

That's so magical about the part where you can put your faces in movies! I did that once for the Wizard of Oz and it was magical so I'll definitely have to check this out in Disney! :thumbsup2

I WANT TO SEE LUXO JR SO BAD! LOVE HIM!

I also desperately want to go to Chefs. I TRIED AND I TRIED AND I TRIED TO MAKE IT WORK THIS TRIP. And then I heard Remy is retiring and I TRIED AND I TRIED AND I TRIED HARDER but literally could not get it in time without having to basically re-arrange my whole trip. I'm pretty crushed but I'm going to Disney so I guess I'm okay.

Your M&G with Jasmine and Al...Din...Laddy sounds perfect! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

I have never been to Le Cellier but have always wanted to. I was finally ABLE to book a ressie this week, but of course, I had to cancel it because 1. F&W fest. 2. I can get the soup outside. 3. F&W Fest. Sadly I won't be able to get the pretzel bread to make the experience complete, but I suppose you can't win them all. Although wait...I typed too early! Tell me more about this Bavarian pretzels in Germany!!!

Yay for MK time!

I am also decidedly in the GO GO GO camp. Last trip solo though I did take things a bit more leisurely and found I was ok with that too. Up to a point of course.

I get what you're saying. I also hate making people wait while I do something I want to do. BUT, with some of the people I've travelled with, I just don't have the choice. I spent money too and I'm riding Tower!

Awww that is just so cute with all your fan-girling with Aladdin. It really is wonderful that Jess still so appreciates meeting characters after so many times and working there and all. If I was ever to lose that Disney feeling that would be it for me I think.

I don't think I've ever heard of a PP photog being that difficult before. I've had some that weren't the friendliest, but none like you described. Hopefully it was just a bad day.

Yes, Canadians are indeed awesome! Also, you are welcome for Chedder Cheese Soup, because, you know, as a Canadian I must have had SOMETHING to do with it. Somehow. :scratchin

I find the Japanese CM's to be the sweetest. So nice to give you the origami. Be honest, when you picked up the "monorail" you were hoping they would give that to you too, right?

Looking forward to some Magic Kingdom which I assume will include a drink of some sort! ;)

I have such a hard time not just get up and going at disney, you were much better about it than I would have been. I can't stand relaxing on vacation :rotfl:

I love the Aladdin and Jasmine meet and greet, such cute pics :goodvibes

Just caught up on this TR! I've been waiting for it, and then I found it and realized you were already 4 days in  I wish I worked that fast on my TR, haha!

But this trip is already incredible. Two weeks in Disney, I can't even imagine.

Port is fantastic, I'm so glad you got to stay there. I've only ever stayed at Riverside, but I imagine French Quarter is just as amazing. AND THE BEIGNETS. UGH. SO GOOD. We bought the mix to make our own at home. Best decision ever.

And that's sad to hear about Le Cellier, I've only been once, but it was for lunch, and I remember really enjoying the sandwich I had... it's probably not even there anymore.

Ah!! I can't keep up with you, and I love it!!!

Awesome tip for Luko jr (is that right?)! What a great thing Disney does! All about the details!

You are seriously making me want to go during F&G! Too many delicious choices to pick from!

And I have to agree with you about Le Cellier. It was a really good restaurant! But the changes have definitely taken it off the "must do" list. I heard a rumor (correct me if I'm wrong), that people have had some luck going in right at opening and asking to buy a bowl of soup. Maybe that can fill the void.

And just a side note, I love that you girls share such a strong passion for Disney! My DH loves Disney, but he doesn't dream about it all the time like I do! And most of my friends see it as a "Once a trip is good enough for us" kind of people! Ugh, so sad. Anyway, I'm glad to have my DIS friends that can understand! I would love to visit the parks with gungho fans like y'all! I bet it's a blast!!
Thank you for the updates! Helping to cure the void ;-)

Tinkerbell is basically Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never understood the Tinkerbell obsession. I know people love the villains, but at least they acknowledge their villainy. Tink is kind of a brat. A plotting, scheming, murderous brat! LOL.

I'm a go go go person when I'm there too. And I'll be up at the crack of dawn.

You trade a lot of pins... where do you get the ones that you trade? Do you just keep recycling through them? Or do you have a way to buy cheap ones that you can use? I haven't quite figured out this whole pin trading thing obviously! But I'm so glad you keep finding ones you love!

Your enthusiasm makes me smile. pixiedust: I feel the same way about all things Disney as you do, except that I am significantly more shy and self-conscious... and I'm a LOT older than you! I really hope to lose some of that when I go in February!

Hurray for this trip report!! :yay: I spent more of my summer than I'd care to admit living vicariously through your previous TRs and I'm so pumped to be following along from almost ground zero on this one!! Somehow you seem to have injected EVEN MORE Lia-energy into this one so far, and that didn't even seem possible. It's also pretty cool hearing about this trip from your perspective that I read about in Jess's DCP report awhile back!
Bummer about Le Cellier, I've only eaten there once and it was dinner in 1998 and all I remember eating was creme brulee haha. Which to be honest I would have paid any price for, regardless of what time of day it was, it was SO DELICIOUS. My dad claims we just walked up and got a table back then, no ADR. I was 8 at the time and full of creme brulee so I have no idea.
AND I think it's so cool that you guys were staying at Port Orleans!! I'm staying at Riverside in Feb 2014, and I got all excited when you got to the part where you walked over there cuz I knew there would be pictures ---aaaaand then there were zero pictures. !! hahha but since everything else has been flawless I guess I can let it slide  And it's not like I can't just go look at the other boards full of Riverside pictures!
I'm getting really into the idea of pin-trading, I think I wanna start it on my next trip!! LOVE the princess shoe pins too, omg! So happy you found the exact Rapunzel one you were looking for at that random boat pin board!? What do you do if you go to a pin board and there isn't anything you want to trade for though??
Anyway, I always feel dumb leaving comments about things people posted like weeks ago so I'll just cut it short but now that I'm caught up I will be able to leave comments in a more timely manner! :goodvibes Thanks for making me laugh so often, excited to read more!

LOL :lmao:

It is quite a compliment that you have philosophical thoughts while reading my silly, over-long recounts of my trip. So thank you!

I am so glad you finally made it to Hollywood. The pretzel dogs look good, but I don't do mustard either. Do you usually eat them dry? Do they taste too dry? Because I feel like ketchup would be weird on them...is cheese even an option? I don't know...but I'm intrigued.

How funny that you plan on having your wedding shoot in front of Pizza Planet. I also want to frolic around all of Hollywood for mine. And yes, I will pay extra to have one ON ToT. ::yes::

I usually get them at Auntie Anne's and they are not dry at ALL. In fact, I'm kind of addicted to them because they are delicious and with my mall discount, less than $2. I don't like the ones from Wetzel's Pretzels very much at all, though. Auntie Anne's cooks the dough and the hot dog better. What can I say, I'm a mall food expert.

Thank you. Yes, I am a true artist, what can I say? :rotfl:

I was joking LOL. In actuality I would have it at ToT. If I ever get married I will definitely have to do that, it's the dream.

Haha I am SOMETIMES unbelievably good at claw machines. One time in high school when we didn't have to spend money on real life things, my friend and I spent SO MUCH MONEY on some and won a few times. I'm impressed by how good you are at THE CLAW. That is a talent I would love to have because I feel like it would really wow the masses, plus I'd have a lot of small toys.

Thank you! I'm glad you understand.

Yay for MK time!

I'm sorry you can't go to Chefs. It really is fantastic so I hope you are able to fit it in on an upcoming trip. You are right though, YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY! So the details aren't THAT important.

You made the right decision with Le Cellier. It's just not necessary when the food is available elsewhere. The pretzels they serve at the stand in Germany are exactly the same as the Pretzel Bread at Le Cellier. They also have the pretzels at Whole Foods, which is how I get my outside-of-Disney fix! :D

I am also decidedly in the GO GO GO camp. Last trip solo though I did take things a bit more leisurely and found I was ok with that too. Up to a point of course.

Looking forward to some Magic Kingdom which I assume will include a drink of some sort! ;)

Oh I agree. If I didn't have time to be in Disney after Lee-Anne left then I would have definitely just made her wait for us. I feel like I will always have to stay longer than she does because it would just be too unbalanced. But hey, I don't mind having to do that

If anything Jess's character obsession has always intensified. I feel like lately every time I talk to her she has either 1. Just met Jasmine or 2. Is on her way to meet Jasmine or 3. Both 1 and 2. :rotfl:

Canadians Rock!! Never met a bad Canadian, that's for sure.

You are very accurate in this assumption, Rob!!

She is definitely a brat! I mean, come on, we've all been a little jealous but murder? Girl, calm down.

No I do not keep recycling through the pins. Once I find the ones I like, I make pin boards and hang them in my room. (: I get the traders on Ebay in large quantities, like 25 pins for $13 or 50 for $22.

I hope you can be less self-conscious next time! Disney is definitely the place I feel the least self-conscious in life because it's just so happy and safe and almost everyone is so kind and wonderful.

Aw, thanks for reading my TRs!

Even more Lia-energy?! haha interesting! Thanks!

"My dad claims we just walked up and got a table back then, no ADR. I was 8 at the time and full of creme brulee so I have no idea." LOL

You will LOVE Riverside!! I don't know how anyone couldn't!

If you don't like any of the pins, you just don't trade. They don't care. Everyone is nice about it.

Don't feel dumb! I like the comments (:

Day 4, Part 4 In Which The Princess Needs To Perk Up

We went into Sir Mickey's to look around.

The saying on this shirt is a little played out by now BUT I LOVE ALL THE PRINCESS THEMED SHOES JUST LIKE THE PINS. AHH.

9993166155_7d6d59f207_z.jpg

Princess Minnie!

10007509945_3356ec79de_z.jpg

"Gosh Minnie, you've always been a princess to me." I KNOW I QUOTE THAT LINE ALL THE TIME AND I WILL NEVER STOP.

We were dying over all this baby princess clothing.

9150864249_f1939b70b4_z.jpg

I really hope I'm insanely rich by the time I have a daughter or else we're going without food in order to fund the child's princess wardrobe.

Then I found my best friend!!! I mean Jess and Lee-Anne are cool but Pascal is my main BFF!!!

9150894839_89261d7ec4_z.jpg

I had to kiss him because we spent 18 years locked up in that tower together and that causes endless love.

9153111598_b0916d771d_z.jpg

We went over to PhilharMagic to get Fastpasses for Ariel's ride. I like to call it "Ariel's Ride" because who on earth wants to say/type "Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid"? Really.

Then we headed into New(ish) Fantasyland!

9993165885_5742845254_z.jpg

9153067062_36fedfc93c_z.jpg

LMAO. As you can see, my hair had started killing itself at this point.

We immediately went to Gaston's Tavern to get my nectar of the Gods, the best thing in the world, LeFou's Brew. As soon as I saw it, I yelled "LEFOU'S BREW!!!" and Jess yelled, "LeFou's CRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!" hahaha the girl has a point, what can I say?! Although right now I am tempted to call it LeFou's Meth. Sigh... Breaking Bad... why did you have to leave me? My baby blue.........

The special love I have for you
My LeFou's Brew

Without you, my world would end.

9153054236_a423bed5ae_z.jpg

After drinking some of the brew I transferred it into my refillable mug so it would stay icey and cold and be easily portable. And then I guess I wanted to remember these Fastpasses for all eternity because I took a photo of them.

9993217186_a7ccd930f6_z.jpg

I love this pic of Jess and I!

10010332724_f4ffa9b190_z.jpg

It really captures our happiness. Shocking news, WE LOVE DISNEY!!!!!!!

Jess was freaking out because she saw a new princess balloon out the window.

9152958660_ffc66beaa6_z.jpg

Ugh. It's kind of cute and more importantly RAPUNZEL IS ON IT but it's the re-designed princesses. I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHY DISNEY MESSED WITH THE PERFECTION OF THE PRINCESSES it's really kind of awful to me but whatever. Jess was really happy she got an OG princess balloon for her birthday the week before because this new mess would just not do.

We went back outside and the sky looked UNREAL.

9993217026_e3ded75eee_z.jpg

We walked on into Eric's beautiful kingdom.

10007827473_b58a1aeeef_z.jpg

10007695714_d34cd3099d_z.jpg

Guys... I want a castle.

10007827473_b58a1aeeef_z.jpg

We headed over to the grotto to meet miss Ariel.

I didn't really want to wait in the line (25 minutes) but it was one of Lee-Anne's few requests for what she wanted to do before she left so we went ahead and got in line.

Jess and I wrote some notes for our TRs on our phones. That is my #1 tip for making time go faster when waiting on line!

When we finally met Ariel, I was really disappointed.

10007502804_45ba602ccf_z.jpg

Ariel's friend was REALLY calm and softspoken, kinda quiet. That's not how Ariel is, it's just not her personality. She's extremely bubbly and excited about seeing Eric and getting legs and stuff. She doesn't just... sit there. I mean, I knew no one was going to top Ariel's PERFECT friend from my 2nd MNSSHP (read about that here) but this was just not my favorite M&G at all. :/ It just really wasn't worth the wait.

10007497854_3aee6190c2_z.jpg

On the way out, Lee-Anne was like "Well, if you had to sit there and smile for hours upon hours you'd probably get annoyed and not be all happy and bouncy too." And I was like no no no. Nope. I can tell you for a fact that I would not do that and Ariel only comes out for like 45 minutes at a time anyway. I probably take it too seriously but as a performer I am no joke. Oh well.

The one thing I did like was that she mentioned Rapunzel to me and I was like HELL YEAH MY GIRL!!!!!!! hahaha.

Our Fastpass return time was coming up so we went over to Ariel's ride!

YAY!

10007766686_369196aefd_z.jpg

Once we got inside the queue Jess and I spoke along with Sebastian's safety instructions multiple times. "You're about to go UNDA DA SEA!"

10007766406_7399a30de1_z.jpg

We were still talking about Aladdin by the way. Perfect prince FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS.

Day 4, Part 5 In Which Chip's Out of the Cupboard

After another wonderful and wet ride unda da sea, it was picture time!

9150733415_dd46dc20c5_z.jpg

We walked down further and had this AMAZING PhotoPass photographer take some photos of us. He spent a lot of time with us taking a ton of great pictures!! We loved him, he was so nice and a perfect example of how great a PP photographer can be. A total contrast to the one taking photos in Jasmine & Aladdin's M&G earlier.

Post-photoshoot Lee-Anne decided she needed a Mickey bar! A very very wise choice.

The sky was just SO COOL. I love when this happens.

It was time to head over to Hollywood, so we started walking out of the park to take the monorail to the TTC and then to Hollywood. Why there is no direct bus to Hollywood is BEYOND ME. It makes no sense.

When we came out of New Fantasyland, we saw these Fantasyland performers:

10007769716_55fe861e33_z.jpg

I TOTALLY forgot to write about this from Day 2. These exact same people were out on May 14 and pulled Lee-Anne and I to dance with them! It was so funny. They grabbed our hands and we all danced in a circle. It was really random but fun!

10007820273_3f6b66c38a_z.jpg

I just could not stop taking pictures. It was the most GORGEOUS day.

Day 4, Part 6 In Which We Travel To Hollywood and Take A LOT Of Pictures

See the little blue gnome? LOL. It reminded me of Ted L. Nancy's books. If you know who I am talking about then I love you.

The Kingdom gates!

10007701515_21f8f45f0d_z.jpg

Jess's friend called her and she was on the phone the entire way out of the Magic Kingdom, on the monorail to the TTC, while we waited for the bus a long time at the TTC... and I think she got off while we were on the bus to Hollywood. It was quite the journey and made me really sleepy. I hate that part of the day where you're still going but you slow down and it makes you feel tired. It's like at work, when I have my break, I feel way more tired AFTER it than I did before. It was exactly like that. I just want to go go go. The connecting is just so annoying but whatever, I was in Disney.

MY TOWER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I said WOWZA. Sometimes it's appropriate. xD

Hi Lia!

I think my last post got hidden between some of your posts on the previous page, but I forgot to say thank you for the welcome! :thumbsup2

Loving all the updates! Your photos of the Beach Club bring back very happy memories for me...I was lucky enough to stay there for a week with my family and we all adored it - SUCH a pretty resort. On our last trip we stayed at the Grand Floridian and I didn't think we could top that, but we all all agreed that overall the Beach Club had the edge for us. I hope you do get a chance to stay there some time :)

The sky looks so pretty in your photos in the last updates...It reminds me of snow!

Best wishes,

S.xx

Ha, I JUST watched Tangled for the first time last night on Netflix so YAY, now I can get all the Rapunzel references! I mean, some I knew anyway, but now I can get MORE!

Haha, "Ariel's Ride" works for me!

LeFou's Brew... Called It!!! Of course it didn't take a mind reader to figure out, but I'll still take it. ;)

LeFou's Meth. :rotfl2: AND you're wearing a baby blue shirt (or at least close enough)!!! I definitely see a BB series marathon in my future.

Yes, I agree completely. There is never an excuse for a character NOT to be "on" for every guest (extreme circumstances notwithstanding). People dream of being "friends" with princesses and that should never be taken lightly.

Ahhhhh that sky!!! :lovestruc It looked like those satellite photos they show on the weather channel when there's a hurricane or something moving in. Throwback to StuckInDisney?? :scratchin
HAHAA that guy with his blue gnome!! I wonder if other people took pictures of you taking pictures with Hulas Timon and Buzz!
The photos with Chip turned out so cute! :) Glad that PP photographer was having a better day than the previous one.
Were you wearing adorable Mickey earrings?? If yes, love them!! :goodvibes (if not, you should probably start wearing some asap)
I don't understand the redesigned princesses either :sad2: They are still beautiful but they just aren't THE SAME.
EEEE the wee princess clothes! Must. Own. Need. Daughter.

I'm all caught up!! Oh my goodness this trip is just all fun all the time! The best kind of disney trip to have!

I need to meet that Aladdin. He sounds super amazing!

You guys are all so cute! I love the chip pictures, so adorable!
