Oh I'm sooooo with you on this one. Couldn't stand those flashbacks with Billy and Mac. I remember some of those old scenes and it just looked ridiculous to have this current Mac and Billy play the "younger" ones. Just don't go there.
And, I swear, I'm waiting for the day that they somehow bring Cassie back from the dead and have her be portrayed by a different actress. They wouldn't dare, would they?

Goodness! My brain hurts from all this stupid Phillip stuff. The writers are going off the deep end with these storylines!
And Summer being 7 is such a crock! She was born AFTER my 2.5 yr old! She should be 2, not 7.

My friend's mother had a son on the same day that a major character had a son on a soap. So she never forgot the Soap Son's birthday. 
By the time her son was a freshman in high school, Soap Son had already been to college, been to law school and was a young, successful attorney. I think he was married to his second wife and had one child as well. My friend's mother always joked that her own son was a disappointment......such an underachiever. He was only a lowly freshman.....Why wasn't HE an attorney by now? 
My mother used to joke and ask why it was taking me 4 years to get through college and why couldn't I turn up a doctor, lawyer or prize-winning author a year or two after high school? I always told her it was nobody's fault but hers. If she had only sent me to a Swiss boarding school, I would have certainly returned as a doctor, lawyer or amazing author. But nooooooooo! She couldn't do that for me. She had to send me to a regular school and make me live at home. I told her she was to blame and no one else.

•Jill confronts Billy about Chloe moving out. Billy doesn't want to hurt Chloe nor does he want to lose his daughter. Jill tells Billy that he'll always be in Delia's life but he needs to make a choice
•Mac and Chloe relate to one another about their childhoods. Chloe confides in Mac about her hurt over the way Billy treats her and him being unable to let go of Mac
•Jeff and Gloria pull a fast one on Phyllis, they rent her penthouse despite being broke. Later, Jack visits Phyllis he wants to talk about Sharon's baby

Okay...so last year before Kevins dad was killed was there not talk about the ring or something in a safe deposit box or locker somewhere from his dad making us question if Kevin or Michael was Jills son.....Michael set out to find it with a key????
Then it came out that Canes mother when given cane was also given a ring. SOOO what ever happened to that story and that ring? Could Kevin been switched for money by his Dad and than his DAD went and kidnapped another baby to grow up as Kevin?
And last week Summer was like 3 years old....and where is Fen ? Just wait and see.....as summers(the season not the person} always go Fen and Summer will both return as 16 y.o's...hehehe

And this actress playing Summer is very blah...ya, ya I know it is a child BUT do you all remember what a love bug and wonderful little child actress ABBY was??? She was FABULOUS!!! Summer...blah...I hope the NEW Summer is more talkative and more outgoing....we need a mini-Phyllis!!!

Someone posted about Y&R actors/actresses being on recurring status...tell Nikki/Melody to suck it up...it appears that almost everyone is being seen almost every other day, sometimes several days in between and even weeks.
We have not seen Eden in a while...JT and Victoria...to name a few.

Good Day. This is the first time in my life that I address an audience so vast and varied. There are a number of heated topics that have become entwined with my recent decision to quit my job, and I feel there are a number of truths that deserve to be stated, a number of untruths that deserve to be rectified, and a few of my own ideas that, by way of circumstance, I am compelled to inject into the debate. This is the only statement I intend to make regarding this subject. I would like first to apologize, as I feel I owe a great many of you at least that. I know that a choice like this appears weak and impulsive. Honestly, it was the last thing I ever thought Id do - the absolute LAST thing I ever wanted.
The job has been a great challenge, and my hat is off to all my fellow actors who have mastered it so gracefully. I know a great many of you have endured far worse than what you perceive to have been my circumstance, but I do not believe that just because you have suffered a particular injustice, so too must everyone else in order to understand that injustice. I want to apologize to any of my fellow actors who I may have disappointed. I would also like to apologize to those of you who feel slighted by this choice, as I have been branded a "homophobe" by several members of the press. This is, of course, absurd and many of my dearest friends are homosexuals who would be more than happy to speak on my behalf. My decision had nothing to do with religion, or anything I learned at Bishop Montgomery High School. Bishop is a great institution of learning that encourages tolerance and acceptance of others. I do not ascribe to any one religious ideology but do value the truth that exists in them all. I think the unfortunate assumption that has been made is that Catholics are intolerant of homosexuals on the basis of their Catholicism. Intolerance of anything is a product of ones underlying belief system as an experience of limitation. It is the line we intellectually draw within ourselves that prevents us from understanding those things we reject, because it defines the boundaries of who we are as individuals. We are what we are, but we are also NOT what we are not. Intolerance is a natural reaction that, I believe, we must understand in order to defeat. It is not a fire to be stomped out by an angry foot or extinguished by a inundating stream of media exposure. Homosexuality is a quality of beingness: one of many qualities that make up the rich diversity that humanity expresses.
True -- I was not comfortable with many of the challenges they presented before me, but I put my head down and did my job. The fact that I had an opportunity as ostensibly attractive and lucrative as this, particularly in difficult economic times and with so many talented actors and industry professionals out of work was, of course, more than reason enough to be grateful. I considered it part of the challenge and within my job description to do the best with whatever storyline was being written for me, as I was very fortunate to be getting a storyline in the first place. I understand that the writers have a very difficult task. They accomplish more in a week than what other shows do in over a month. I never stormed off the set, nor have I stormed off any set in my 18 years of struggle as an artist. I felt generally unhappy about my contribution to the show, and had greater and greater difficulty making any sense of the challenges they were asking me to face. If that makes me a limited actor, then so be it. I was allowed ONE meeting with Maria Bell, and I called in sick ONCE in my 16 months on the show. In the end, I didnt feel that decisions were being made in my best interests, personally or professionally.
I learned a great deal in my time there and I am eternally grateful for the challenges that enriched me as an artist and as a man. As a single father, with sole custody of a 10 year-old boy, this was neither a practical decision, nor was it an easy decision to make. I believe that as an actor, and as a human being, I deserve better than to be forced to do something that I dont feel is right on many levels, and that should have nothing to do with the choices that other people make. My visage and my craft were being utilized to tell a story that I wasnt inspired to tell. I have a great deal of respect for the show in general and all those hard-working people who make it possible, and it is out of respect for them and a sense of duty toward them that I asked to be removed from my duties. I know this doesnt conform to contract stipulations and it is regrettable that my personal feelings came into conflict with that precedent, although I dont think that would have ever been the case if what was being requested of me was not unprecedented. Ultimately, the producers were very understanding and amenable and I, in fact, worked until they told me they didnt need me anymore. I am sure that more of my colleagues would speak on my behalf if they too werent afraid of the possible consequences, and I dont blame them for that. It has been a difficult journey for me, and many others, on the road to understanding the nature of artistry and what it takes to succeed. Strength is measured by what we are willing to stand for, not by what we are willing to lie down and take. I want to thank everyone who has voiced such tremendous support and encouragement. god for adam for putting that out there - i think it's wrong for anyone to call him homophobic just because he doesn't want to kiss a man on the show - come on - lets give victor a gay storyline and see what he does.
hummm actually that wouldn't be half bad now would it - it might explain why he's had so many wives - maybe deep down inside he can't commit to just 1 because he's torn personally and it's finally revealed that he's actually accepting he's gay and wants the world to know.

I am getting Y&R frustrated again. Too many Philips and too many gay storylines to follow.
Do I have this right so far?
Adam= not gay, but has a gay kiss for blackmail?? (and also to be played by new actor because of said kiss??)
Rafe= gay on show and in real life? other half of the blackmail kiss
Phillip 3 = gay in real life, wants to play the role gay too?

Mac = not gay on show, but gay in real life (since she has no chemistry with Raul, why not make her character gay too??that might end the Chloe/Billy?Mac love traingle once and for all!!)

Ok first I agree with whoever said Raul hasn't changed a bit -he hasn't.
Secondly did you notice how when Mac said she was happy it was like she was bored to tears. Of course all of her lines are delivered that way and it is true she has no chemistry with anyone on the show.
