Gloria gets carted off in handcuffs this week, after Jeffery tricks her into confessing that she was responsible for Jabot's tainted face cream scandal.....
Judith Chapman says that Gloria's feeling absolute fury, that Jeffery will burn in heck, and that Gloria is ready to kill Jeffery. She also says Gloria is feeling is feeling absolute betrayal because she thought Jeffery was her soul mate, and that she wants to string him up.
Chapman says that at the police station Gloria fills Kevin in on everything that happened, and blames River for putting her in this situation. She says that Gloria had second thoughts about helping River due to the threats from Jeffery, but she wanted to do something good for Michael. She tried to do the right thing and, lo and behold it backfired in her face. Gloria loves that he loves her, but is in disbelief that Jeffery would go to such lengths because he was jealous. Chapman admits that it's a tad extreme.
Gloria then proceeds to beg Kevin to ask Michael to get her out of jail, she needs him to rescue her but he's nowhere to be found.
Gloria contemplates the fact that she could do serious time in prison, while Jeffery continues with his scheme to get back at his wife. Jeffery ends up letting it slip that Gloria is in jail and that she's the one who tampered with the face cream. That's when Jeffery takes Jack to see Gloria.
Jack's the last person that Gloria wants to see, Chapman says that Jack is ready to jump over the table and throttle her. That's when Gloria immediately starts going on the counterattack. She starts asking Jack if he understands, and that Jeffery set her up to get her out of his way so he could get his hands on her stock and deal directly with Jack. That's when Jack questions Gloria about how Jeffery knew all about the the face cream. Gloria reminds Jack that Jeffery's brother William was the DA who handled the case. Who knows what kind of information he had access to? Gloria swears that Jeffery concocted this who scheme to get her out of the way so he could move into a higher position at Jabot. Jack isn't having any of it though.
Jack rips Gloria a new one for destroying everything that meant something to his father, and blames Gloria for John's death. Jack basically goes on about everything Gloria's ever done, and this makes her feel about two inches high; but she still can't admit the truth. Gloria swears that she loved John and wouldn't have ever done anything to hurt him or his company.
Chapman says that Jack vows to make sure that Gloria rots in jail, and tell her that he'll to anything that he possibly can to help the police, the court, and the case. He wants to make sure she goes away forever for what she's done, and is going to watch her burn in hell.
Gloria's left all alone to ponder how horrible the fate that awaits her, everything she's been afraid would happen has; and the crap has hit the fan. Gloria is very scared, very alone, and very betrayed by Jeff. She's been exposed to everyone as the culprit in the face cream scandal and everyone wants to see her burn. Gloria's the most frightened at the thought of going to jail, and things are looking pretty grim. She's Genoa City's pariah, and this is only the beginning.
