We just put up our Christmas tree!!! (artificial of course  )

My husband just put it up and put the lights on. I haven't decided if I'm going to decorate it yet or not.

We're getting ready to go see ::MickeyMo this Saturday and we won't get home until the week before Christmas. This will be one less thing to do.

Now watch us have company this week. People will think we're crazy.

I'd like to jump on the crazy train with you so badly! But, I'll wait until Thanksgiving. I just couldn't stand the kids' nagging "how much longer until Christmas" every day.

Will you please come over and put up mine too? I hate putting up and decorating the tree. Of course I have a love/hate relationship with all things Christmas. Bah Humbug!!!!!!!! ;)

I'll have to send my husband to do the lights. You'll need earplugs though. His lanquage isn't bad but boy does he complain and gripe the whole time.

I don't do lights but I love to decorate the tree. I've got all kinds of special ornaments from vacations and that the kids and grandkids made.

Now undecorating is a whole different thing. I hate that!!

Did I read this correctly? Will you be at Disney for most of 2 months? If so, LUCKY YOU!

I don't know if I was more shocked at the tree up or going to Disney for so long! Lucky you!!

I was wondering that to. :earseek:
BRING ME WITH YOU!

We'll be at DW for 3 weeks and then we're going to Sanibel for the rest of the time. Then back to Disney in January. Does it sound like we like DW?

Oh, I'm counting down the days until I can put up my Christmas tree and decorate my home and yard (w/o 'officially' looking like I'm nuts)!! :cool1: I will do it the day before Thanksgiving since we are having family and friends over and I just love to show-off my decorating!!! :goodvibes

June, you're killing me. I can't belive you've got the tree up already. But I guess it makes sense when you're going to be down visting the mouse for so long. Or is that Mr. Mouse. Have fun. Maine :firefight

Gosh, I thought I was nuts as I just finished writing out Christmas cards! :flower:

Don't feel bad - I have a "Christmas room" where the tree is up 12 months a year! (I really need to buy furniture for that room) :goodvibes

Wow, I was so amazed that you were going to be gone for two months! Sounds like a wonderful time, you lucky duck.

DD asked me yesterday if we could put up the Christmas trees now because Halloween was over. I asked if we could get past her birthday first (mid November)!

I guess getting to take long vacations is the biggest advantage of being retirement age. I think I would give them all up just to be younger again.

That sounds good. My husband is always threatening to leave ours up year round (we don't have room for it). Hang hearts on it for Feb, Easter eggs, pumpkins, turkeys, etc.

Actually we have a small 3' tree that we do this to. We love it. It makes every holiday fun.
