You Want to Stay Where?! A July PTR* TR LINK 8/8!

Casting my votes!
Jiko

I actually haven't eaten at any of these restaurants, but these are the ones I would most like to try. It's funny because in the other match ups I had eaten at practically every restaurant :)

My vote

This weeks match-ups are:

4 Jiko vs. 13 Kouzina

4 Garden Grill vs. 13 Mickey's Backyard BBQ

4 T Rex vs. 13 Coral Reef

4 Columbia Harbor House vs. 13 Pizza Planet

Well, haven't eaten at any of these, but here are my picks!

Jiko
Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Coral Reef
Columbia Harbor House

Okay.... I think I'm getting that this part is just picking our favorite eatery and isn't related to the ADRs.

Karen :)

Trying to catch up....wanted to pop in & say, "Hi!" Sorry I've been MIA but you know how crazy things have been for me lately.

I'm so far behind on the dining game....I'm sorry! But, I will say that I loved your last post talking about the nice people here on the DIS. I have found myself steering clear of certain boards b/c of some of the nastiness.

I realize a lot of folks had these choices, but nonetheless...

Breakfast - Hollywood and Vine
Lunch - Mama Melrose
Dinner - Yachtsman Steakhouse

Well, we only had one real problem where we had to wait to wait for a fourth MK bus - but that was because the cheerleaders had descended upon us and they were all going to MK! I meant more of the fact of taking a bus in general vs being on the monorail or boat. But the price allowed us to stay for 8 nights on a year where we weren't supposed to be going to Disney! We keep saying we're going to take a year off... My logic was similar to yours in that I thought I wanted to make sure that DD5 had one last time of truly believing that the magic, princesses, etc. are real. That and DS1 was still "free" at Disney and a lap infant on the plane. Like how I worked that out?? :goodvibes

Oh those cheerleaders. :faint:

I love your logic! I rationalize every single year!

Your post made me teary! You are so right my friend...I, like you, love everything Disney stands for! I never loose sight of the fact that Disney Corp is a business and like any business, it's there to make money!

I love the friends I've met on here and I too love hearing about their lives and their trips! It makes my heart sing, especially after a long day at work. Only your Dis-friends truly "get" your obsession with this place and I love the fact that we never have to explain it to them!

You just made my morning my friend!

Thanks Queen! Your post made my day!

Well, that was definitely the case when we were there. There's always a possibility that the newness and popularity could wear off by the time you're there, but I'd doubt it. I know I listened to a WDW Today podcast a couple of weeks ago and they talked about it. They basically called it "the new Dumbo" because it is so popular and has such a low capacity.

Now, to re-do my votes for your Hollywood Studios day, I'd said H&V breakfast and Mama Melrose dinner. I'm going to change it since you'll have 3 ADR's...

Hollywood & Vine - Breakfast
Mama Melrose - Lunch
Yachtsman - Dinner

And the current tournament...
Jiko vs. Kouzina is tough. Never done either one, but I'll go with Kouzina. Just because I like an underdog. :confused3

Garden Grill - Characters, food served family style and it is in the Land Pavilion. Nothing bad about this one.

Coral Reef - I'd probably think T-Rex is pretty awesome myself, but I think our kids would probably not care for the noises.

Pizza Planet - This would be more like a 16 beating a 1 if Pizza Planet wins, but I really think it is underrated, and I just don't care for CHH as much as just about everyone else on the DIS.

As for your last post...

Well, I'm certainly not too shy about expressing my disappointment with Disney when it is called for, but you do make a good point. They are a business and I understand that. Also, I'm a stockholder, so from that aspect I want to see them operate in a manner that will generate a return on my investment. If I don't like what I'm seeing either in the parks or from a business decision standpoint, I'm not too shy about sharing my opinion. That said, I get where you're coming from. I rarely ever spend much time on the Disboards outside of TR's/PTR's and the Disdads areas. The last time I went to the Theme Parks Strategy board, I got into a little back and forth with someone, and I just wanted to reach through my computer, grab them by the neck and beat some sense into them.

Anyway, I'm glad that there is a corner of this community where you can come and experience the magic of Disney through others any day of the year. Even if you might not get to experience it in person for several months or even a year or 2.

My hat goes off to Katt789 for giving Maddie a little bit of that magic while she's at home.:thumbsup2

That's exactly why I love the TR boards. A little slice of WDW whenever you need it.

Wasn't that great of Katt?!

I am telling you that DIS friends are the BEST friends. What a sweet thing for a fellow DISer to do.

On the meals, my picks would be:

1) Jiko because I've heard wonderful things about it and want to try it so need to know what you thought

2) I'm going with Mickey's Backyard BBQ because I love bbq

3) Coral Reef; I have heard it's very loud in T-Rex and we really love Coral Reef

4) DEFINITELY Columbia Harbor House; we avoid Disney pizza at all costs

They really are the best friends Kathy!

I am a lot like you and just visit the Rumors boards every now and then. Those people over there can get quite testy and rude. Like you, I am very very thankful for the friends that I have met on the Disboards and that they are all kind gentle souls.

The rumors board can be down right scary!

Time for food voting:
-Jiko
-Backyard BBQ [seems like more fun]
-Coral Reef [cause I haven't eaten there lol]
-Pizza Planet [heck, even if I don't eat here I still always go in and look around! Love it! Also it's one of the few places in DHS with an atm...so I end up there a lot...]

I spent a bit of time on the rumours board and I have to agree, things have gotten snarky, I think it's just the amount of people that are "I'M RIGHT YOU'RE WRONG" I know a fair bit about entertainment now thanks to learning, listening, and there are quite a few people on tumblr who I follow who are friends with characters, and put out TRUE information, and I know things, lol, but on here, it's like "NOPE YOU ARE WRONG" kinda thing ugh. (ps, one of those secrets, Wendy is said to be appearing with Peter starting late May.....me thinks it'll be on the veranda where Ariel was...who knows about that part...]

ANYWAYS, Disney is magical and amazing and I thank you for thanking us! And no problem about the videos, I'm actually bummed I missed Tiana and Naveen, and the fairies haha. I'll do whatever I can to help spread the magic and make people happy! I have to say that my disboard friends are slowly taking over, I've made so many fantastic friends on here, of all ages, and I've had the amazing pleasure of meeting you, and Jess now, and a few others who I didn't know but approached me. It's really amazing to find out how many people on here support me and it makes me tear up thinking about all the "live your dream, I know you can do it" that I get from here, ya'll are amazing!

FYI Kenny the Pirate 'broke' the news about Wendy (where Ariel used to be) about 5 days after you posted that :goodvibes

You CAN do it! Don't ever give up!

I couldn't have put in it a better way. I love all of my DIS friends so much, because my DIS friends are just so kind, and they understand why I am so obsessed with Disney.
The other day at school I was in my iPod typing something on disboards when one my friends asked "what are you doing?" I replied "talking to my DIS friends." I have never gotten such a confused look in my life. :rotfl:

:rotfl: I love that! No one else really does understand. I always say "my Disney friends". I don't really want any of my real life people invading my happy place so I don't share the name of the DIS :rotfl2:

Voting Time!
Kouzina- It looks interesting
Garden Grill- My favorite!!
T-Rex- I've heard a lot of good things!
Columbia Harbour House- I don't like Disney pizza (I know, I know..I should be shunned!)

How awesome of Katt to do that for you and Maddie. Amazing!!

Thanks for voting! Wasn't that sweet?

i love the snow white video. :)

Me too!

Those videos are great. I bet Maddie was over the moon.

She was in heaven!

My votes are for:
Jiko
Garden Grill
T-rex
Columbia Harbour House

Thanks for running this! Its super fun

Thanks for playing! I'm glad people are enjoying it!

YAY for an upset!!! I always seem to root for the underdogs in my basketball bracket :) (I usually don't do very well in the end, haha!)

Here are my picks for the next round:
Signature/Celebrity Chef
Kouzina

Character/Dinner Show
Garden Grill

Table Service
Coral Reef

Counter Service
Pizza Planet- We are big Toy Story fans!!!

Your last post was great! You hit it right on the nose! Sure Disney is expensive.... it's taken me countless hours of overtime to be able to save up for our FIRST family "Dream" vacation!! But I believe that it is so worth it. There is a YouTube video that I LOVE that starts off saying how the price of a Disney vacation keeps going up and up and asks if it is worth it or not.... it then goes on to show clips of their family during their trip and just how HAPPY they all are! So the answer is definitely "YES" it is worth it! (IMO)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpiQ-D_kaxY

I love an underdog too. Does me no good with the brackets though! Who on earth was picking Fl Gulf Coast???
Thanks for voiting!

And thanks for sharing that link! That's one of the best videos I've ever seen! I may or may not have teared up a time or two...

It is so worth it.

Those videos are amazing....no wonder Maddie was over the moon!

I totally agree with the sentiments you expressed about Disney. So many people tell me I'm crazy to "give Disney so much of your hard earned money", but they don't understand that what I get back from Disney...and that includes the DIS...is worth more than I could ever afford to pay. I used to try to explain it, but I've finally stopped. If they don't get it, they don't get it; and I can't make them get it. So, I just smile a secret smile and hope that something in their lives makes them as happy as Disney makes me!

Finally, I'm sooooo far behind in the ADR game! I missed out on the last round, but here goes for this one...

Kouzzina
Garden Grill
Coral Reef
Columbia Harbor House

I love the way that you expressed that. You hit it right on the nose. I do hope that others can find some thing that makes them so happy.

Thanks for voting!

Oh, I'm sure Maddie will love the Perfectly Princess Tea Party just as much next year! I'm just never sure that we'll have a 'next year' trip. So, I've tried to be sure to capture all the princess moments as possible!

Whatever you decide, Maddie will enjoy!

Pixie dust coming your way... Karen pixiedust:

You're right- she'd just enjoy getting to go. Next year for sure.

Thanks Karen

Oh, those videos are WONDERFUL! I know what you mean about worrying it might be the last year of magic...I worry about when that moment will come for my girls, especially Julia. I do everything I can to preserve it! How nice of someone to think of you on their own vacation. The DIS is THE BEST! We make good friends here...let the meanies stay in their own corner:thumbsup2.

You know, YOU are a great friend, too, making dresses for people when you absolutely don't have to. So THANK YOU for that!

And now on to the voting.

Signature/Celebrity Chef

Jiko all the way. I haven't been to either, but I've heard a million wonderful reviews of Jiko and pretty much none about Kouzzina.

Character/Dinner Show

Tough call! Hmmm...gonna go with Garden Grill only due to the fact that it's in our favorite Epcot pavilion.

Table Service

What, are you trying to fry my brain here!?!?! Gosh! I guess I'll go with Coral Reef due to the fact that my girls love a good aquarium...BUT, I'd include a follow-up trip to the Build-a-Dino:thumbsup2.

Counter Service

Columbia Harbour House. It was our first WDW restaurant and still a clear favorite!

Thanks Jenn, so sweet of you to say. You're exactly right. The meanies have no business here on the TR boards. We're too nice for them.:lmao:

Thank you for that post Shannon. I agree with it all. I've never lost sight of the fact that Disney is a business, but I've found myself getting upset with people talking about it negatively, and always feel the need to defend my beloved Disney. I've had countless trips filled with complete joy and I don't think there really is anything that Disney could do to really make me angry...probably not even frustrate me really. One other poster put up the YouTube video about is it really worth it, and I would say a hundred times over, YES!

Anyway, those videos are so wonderful. I teared up watching them because I can only imagine how it felt for you to watch Maddie watching them, with her eyes lighting up!

Here are my votes for this round:

Jiko (probably wouldn't go to either, but this would be the one I chose if I had to choose)

Garden Grill

T-Rex (sounds like a lot of fun)

Columbia Harbor House

Thank you so much for you post. I'm so glad to have found so many people here who feel the same way that I do.

Thanks for voting!

My Tournament of Food votes:

Jiko
Mickeys Backyard BBQ
Coral Reef
Columbia Harbor House

Although we've never actually eaten at any of these :rotfl2:, one day I hope to have eaten at all of them! Perfect reasons to keep going back. We ALMOST booked Coral Reef for our next trip but DBF voted for Teppan Edo instead.

Your last post is incredibly amazing. Seriously. Of course Disney is a business, what isn't these days. Will we all be happy with every decision they make every single time? Of course not. There's so many different people in this world, that if you wanted to please everyone, you'd have to hide in a hole and never do anything.

I adore Disney for being a place where kids get to experience a world of magic and innocence when the real world keeps pushing them to grow up at younger and younger ages. And for allowing me to escape to that world for spurts of time since I'm a grown-up stuck in this world. A lot of people don't get that, so I retreat here where I found there are others like me! :goodvibes

Your points about the arguing on the Disboards are so true. This is why I lurk around here more than I post! I have enough things to argue about during the day, Disney is my happy place. :rotfl2:

Thank YOU Courtney! You're so right-WDW is one of the few places that kids can still be kids-and so can we. It's pure magic, and the people like you that gather here make it even more special!

That's so sweet of Katt to do that for Maddie! Some parts of the Disboards are not so nice, but I've met so many great people through the TRs and PTRs! :goodvibes

I agree, LilAnn's DD is such a gorgeous little girl. She looks positively awesome in that Jessie dress. princess:

My votes for this week:

Kouzzina - I loved our breakfast there this past trip.
Garden Grill - I've read good reviews
Coral Reef - Again, it's because of a good experience there. I love the concept, and the dessert!
Pizza Planet - Yes, I know the food is pretty standard there, but what kid doesn't love to eat in the same restaurant as in the movie? Plus, I'm not a fan of the menu at CHH.

Wasn't that sweet? And yes, LilAnn's DD is adorable in that dress!

Thanks for voting!

THIS!!!
THIS!! Is why I do things like get videos for Maddie! Because of all the amazing people on here, and how supportive and friendly and just plain awesome they all are. I know there are people who's TR's I follow along with so well and they probably don't even really know me at first, even though they're Dis legends, heck, I was fangirling meeting Jess!

This disboards have really brought together so many people that have a love for Disney, have a love for magic, being a kid again, we GET each other, we're the people who leave Magic Kingdom weeping because of wishes and all the pixie dust that happens throughout the day. The dis has made me realize that there really are always going to be magic living people out in the world, people that understand why I go to do Disney as much as I do, because there's certainly only two people I actually know who "got" the magic that live near me.

I will always do my best to go above and beyond to get messages to the little princesses back home, I was going to do my darndest do get a message from Periwinkle to Maddie, but we missed her by a week. I will do these things because you guys are all wonderful and amazing and deserve every ounce of magic that comes your way. You guys support my dreams, and my goals and you wish as much as I do that they'll come true. I didn't realize that until I was in LS in Sept and a woman came up to me and was all "you're katt! FOTLK bird girl! We saw the show the other day, and I was all Thats Katt's job!"

When people are being amazing enough to say things like that to me, and really truly believe and encourage, the least I can do is a little hello from the princesses! Now here's hoping the next video will be an *extra* special one where I'm lucky enough to be the princesses "friend"

:grouphug:

You're all so wonderful!

P.S. I'm not proofreading that before posting, so sorry if it's rambley.....

p.p.s. I will more than gladly be the "fairy godmailer" for any other families out there that are wondering if they can get a special hello, a post card, a "hey, surprise you're going to Disney World again" kinda thing. I like to spread the magic! pixiedust:

I like rambley :goodvibes

My votes for this week are for...

1. Jiko (Kouzzina honestly does not appeal to me... AT ALL.)

2. Garden Grill (I haven't done the Backyard BBQ but Garden Grill was my second favorite meal of our trip!)

3. T-Rex (I've been to both, but honestly didn't care for Coral Reef much at all. Then again, I'm not much of a seafood person and really only wanted to go there because they went there on Full House and Boy Meets World, what can I say?)

4. Pizza Planet! (Haven't tried CHH but again, not really a seafood fan. Love Pizza Planet!)

I am in total and complete agreement with EVERYTHING you just said. I don't understand the negativity involved in, well, MOST of the parts of the DIS that aren't the TR/PTR board. You really just hit the nail on the head with every word you said, so therefore I want to say thank YOU! :goodvibes That was such an amazingly sweet thing for Katt to do for Maddie. Awesome. And LilAnn's daughter looks absolutely precious, as usual! You did such a wonderful job with that outfit.

Thanks Marissa. And thanks for voting!

Aww man! I missed last week!! I don't think I missed for the ADR game though?! So for the 3 ADRs I pick
Hollywood and Vine for Breakfast
50's PT for lunch
Mama Melsrose for dinner

And for round 3:
Jiko because every dining report and updates on the live food thread from there are AMAZING!
Garden Grill, I like that it moves and I love Epcot ;)
Coral Reef
Pizza Planet, this was tough because I think the food is better at CHH but Pizza Planet is just cool and we literally just showed DD the Toy story movie for the first time and I love it!

Love the doll dresses and the Jessie outfit looks adorable!
I just bought those same shoes for my DF, Crocs showed up on Zulily and I got them half price :cheer2:
I totally agree about your feelings on Disney! Couldn't have said it better! :goodvibes

I wish I'd seen them on Zulilly! You didn't miss the ADR game, thanks for playing!

Here are my votes, although I don't have any experience with them at all!

Jiko -- I swoon over this every time I see reviews. I love Greek though and would probably really enjoy Kouzzina too.

2. Backyard BBQ -- seems fun for the little ones.

3. Coral Reef -- next time I go I really want to eat here.

4. Columbia Harbor House -- also on my list of places to eat next time we go.

Thanks for voting!

Katt, you are amazing! Those video's were awesome! Shanon, I've been gone awhile and thought I would check in to see how things are going. BIG mistake. You have me want to change our December DL trip back to DW. I can't wait to read your TR during peak season. It just scares me that time of year.

HI! How have you been? Glad to see you back around here! OOPS! Maybe you shouldn't read my TRs/PTRs when you're trip planning? :rotfl:

I'll go with Jiko, Garden Grill, Coral Reef, and CHH.

Disney really is a special place - it is impossible for every person to be 100% thrilled with every decision the company makes, but really, where else is there so much fun and magic?? pixiedust:

Those videos from Katt are the sweetest thing, Maddie must have been over the moon seeing those!!! :goodvibesprincess:

Thanks Sarah! She was beyond excited!

Love this cause its so true! So glad I discovered the Disboards community!

:goodvibes

Although I never had a chance to cast a vote, I'm so excited that the Rose and Crown won! That was one of our favorite meals from our last trip!

For the next round:
Signature - Jiko (What an awesome restaurant!)
Character - Garden Grill
Table Service - T-Rex (I have no desire to step foot in Coral Reef again. Ever.) :crazy2:
Counter Service - Columbia Harbor House

Thanks for voting!

My picks would be:

Signature/Celebrity Chef
Jiko - never eaten there, but I think I would enjoy it more over Kouzina..

Character/Dinner Show
Garden Grill - our very first Disney dinner on our very first Disney trip!! The best character interaction!!! Now, we didnt enjoy the food, but from what I hear they've change it since 2009!

Table Service
Coral Reef - once again, another one we havent eaten at, but its on my list!!

Counter Service
Columbia Harbor House - OMG! I feel like I have NO leg to stand on in these restaurant choices!! We havent made it here either in 3 trips, but it WILL be checked off the list next summer!!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! the Lilo dress - and Maddie is SUCH the perfect model!!!

Okay.... I think I'm getting that this part is just picking our favorite eatery and isn't related to the ADRs.

You got it Karen! Two separate games. I really should have been more clear. Sorry!

Trying to catch up....wanted to pop in & say, "Hi!" Sorry I've been MIA but you know how crazy things have been for me lately.

NO worries Amanda. So glad to have met a friend like you here on the DIS! :goodvibes

My ADR guesses are: Hollywood & Vine, Mama Melrose and Yachtsman Steakhouse

Thanks for playing! Results coming up!

I realize a lot of folks had these choices, but nonetheless...

And this weeks matchups are:

Signature/Celebrity Chef

5 Citricos vs. 12 Monsieur Paul (again, anyone ever eaten here?)

Character/Dinner Show

5 Be Our Guest (the Beast got them into Character) vs. 12 1900 Park Fare (dinner)

You'll have until next Thursday to vote. If you've never tried either place, vote for the one that you're most likely to try, or would like to try.

If I'm confusing everyone with all the games, I'm sorry. Tournament of Food is completely separate from Guess My ADR. I thought it would be fun for all of us to vote on what will eventually become our favorite restaurant in each category, and then our favorite overall. :goodvibes Thanks for playing everyone!

As I hinted, Day 2 of our trip will find us at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

We'll start off the day with an 8 am breakfast at Hollywood and Vine (yay! for the many of you who correctly guessed that)

IMG_4693.jpg

I am hoping that there's some truth to the rumor that Sophia the First (considering making that dress too :rotfl:) and Doc McStuffins will be replacing Oso and Handy Manny, but Maddie said that she want to do the breakfast regardless. I believe that the pull of her beloved Jake is simply too strong. :lmao:

After breakfast we'll head straight for Pixar Place for a spin (and FP grab) on TSMM. Mads wants to ride this at least 3 times so hopefully we'll be able to get a second set of FP after we use the first.

The rest of our DHS day will be much more typical Maddie-heavy on shows and characters and light on rides.;)

On the agenda are:

Beauty and the Beast, Disney Jr. Live, the Muppets, and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. We're hoping to hit Star Tours at least once, Tower of Terror, and single rider RnRC for Bryan and I. We haven't done the Backlot Tour since our honeymoon (I think we did it) so that my replace the Great Movie Ride as our sit down and relax ride. I'm sure we'll have to meet Phineas and Ferb, and as long as the lines are bearable we'll likely pop into see Woody and Buzz too.

I'd love to try the Animation Class as well. Mads loves to draw and is actually really good at it, but I'm afraid it would be too hard for her. Has anyone done this with a little one? She's kind of a perfectionist, so I worry that she'd get upset with herself if she couldn't follow along perfectly.

For lunch we have a Fantasmic package reservation at Mama Melrose!

3834603863_4d55c89072.jpg

We've never eaten here before, but the menu looks pretty good. Hopefully we'll enjoy it!

In a perfect world we'd head back to the resort for a break/change of clothes before dinner, but I'm not counting on it. Maddie really, really likes DHS and rarely believes us when we say we'll be back later in the week. We'll probably meet more characters instead. :rotfl2:

Knowing that we'd likely not be getting a break, I was thinking maybe we'd be able to hit Characterpalooza at the Animation Building, but I'm afraid that our dinner ADR will conflict.

For dinner we'll be dining at the Yachtsman Steakhouse!

ysteak1.jpg

Our original ADR was for 7 pm, but Disney's website is still showing only one Fantasmic at 9 pm, so I switched our ADR to 6 pm. We're really excited to try yet another new restaurant. This is the one of the places that Bryan was really eager to try, so I'm hoping that it does not disappoint.

After dinner we'll make our way back to DHS (maybe using a late TSMM FP when we get there?).

Would you believe that we've never seen Fantasmic? On our first trip I was worried that it would be too scary for Maddie. On our second trip Bryan found out that people lined up 2 hours in advance to get in and said 'No Way!'. (I can't say I blame him. I didn't really want to wait either.) Hence the Fantasmic Package for this trip. I know that the seating isn't the greatest, but it's better than waiting for hours. Maddie has watched a Youtube video of the show and LOVED it. She would like to see Fantasmic "every single night". Hopefully once will do. :lmao:

Congrats to everyone who guessed our DAY 2 ADR correctly!

Here are the updated scores:

ADRGame3-28.jpg

And, here's the hint for DAY 3 of the GUESS MY ADR GAME!

Day 3 will find us at the MK with an early morning BBB appointment. We only have one reservation-for dinner.

Here is the list of our ADR. The ones that have already been revealed for Day 1 or 2 are in red, the ones you can choose from for DAY 3 are in black. Good luck everyone! Thanks for playing and for reading!

I have been hard at work again this week! I finished up the Lilo dresses for FantasylandMom's two little girls, and the one for my niece. Just as I declared myself finished with Lilo Maddie reminded me that I'd promised to make one for Carissa the American Girl.

It turned out really cute!

IMG_8354.jpg

Once I was truly finished with the Lilos, I started in on my next project. Last fall I bought Maddie this shirt at the Disney Store

She really likes the shirt, but doesn't have a skirt that matches it. Since she doesn't really do pants we needed to find something to match it. (Recently she told me "I'm not going to wear jeans anymore mom. Boys wear jeans". Sister Suffragette she is not). I was hoping to find a purpley pink to match the letters on the shirt, and figured that I'd add some silver sequin to it to make it more special. Well, we walked into the fabric store and found this

It was scary expensive at $16 a yard, but I had a good coupon so we got it. How could we not? It's too perfect. I bought extra fabric too, so I might make a dress out of it too! So, this week I made this: (ready for your weekly Maddie fashion show? It's a particularly good one)

Folks, she needs no encouragement to do this. This is truly what comes naturally to her. And yes, she does wear a tiara most of the day. No need for special accessories for the photo shoot! She was already wearing them! :confused3:rotfl2:

And of course, since Maddie had gotten a skirt, Carissa needed a matching one

Having gotten that done, Maddie has requested that I make a Tshirt with a glass slipper on it for Carissa too. :faint: We'll see how that goes.

Thanks for letting me share guys! I'll leave you with a picture of Maddie's evening activity. Since it's been so cold during her Spring Break, she talked her dad into an indoor campout. Have a great Easter weekend everyone!

My vote is for dinner at CRT!!

Maddie's skirt looks so cute!! I love that fabric - perfect for your little princess!! :thumbsup2

I have taught my grade 2 class how to draw Mickey Mouse and they did very well. granted I was going slower than the animator at DHS, but I also was not individually helping them since there is no way I can do that with 18 students. I think Maddie will do fine, and you can just guide her along the way if you feel she needs the help.

Beautiful Maddie photo shoot, as always.

There is no way that you can do BBB without going to eat in the Castle, so I will say your day 3 ADR is Cinderella's Royal Table.

For the food tournament, here are my votes:

Signature/Celebrity Chef
Citricos

Character/Dinner Show
Be Our Guest (I was tempted to vote for the underdog here, since I've heard so many great things about the interaction from the step-sisters at Park Fare)

Table Service
Boma

Counter Service
Casey's

What a great update - so much to cover and comment on!!!

and Im going to go along with the crowd and say that if you have an appt at BBB that morning, that you're set for CRT for dinner on Day #3!!!

ADR Game:
Signature/Celebrity Chef
Citricos

Character/Dinner Show
Be Our Guest - this is on my list for next time!!

Table Service
Boma

Counter Service
Casey's - who doesnt enjoy a good hot dog???

DERN - I totally missed the Day#2 ADRs....well, except for H&V.....BUT YEAH for YM!! That was one of my favorite dinners on our last trip!!

and Maddie....she is SUCH the cutie and the best model - and that sparkly, flippy skirt....TO.DIE.FOR!!!!

and I would sport a crown of jewels all the time if I could!!

:dance3:

Best Maddie fashion show to date!!!! She is so darn cute and the fact that she likes to wear a tiara everyday...tops in my books!!! I love that shirt and I think you did an great job on her skirt...I can barely get a button back on:rotfl2:

My food votes are:

-Citricos: I’ve always wanted to eat there and it sounds great!

-I CAN’T EVEN!!! WHY WOULD YOU PUT THOSE CHARACTER MEALS AGAINST EACH OTHER?!?! They both have amazing food, BOG has the best atmosphere in the world, and 1900 has the most perfect character interaction. UGH! Uhm…I am going to have to vote for Be Our Guest though, I feel like, overall, it was just more impressive. If you end up not getting the Step sisters at the dinner, it might not be worth it, and I can’t even look at pictures of BOG without crying, so it wins, lawl!

-Boma: amazing food, seriously, I cannot wait until I can go back here. Plus you get the added benefit of seeing AKL, it’s gorgeous! I loved that there were more African flavored options, and so many different choices there!

-Caseys: It’s a Disney classic, you can’t get through a trip without eating here. And the cartoons in the back, SUPER CUTE. But seriously, corn dog nuggets….

AAAAHHHH Maddie has a derpy Perry shirt! ADORABLE! I love him! I also REALLY like the whole Sofia the First thing, the movie is super cute, and honestly, it’s playhouse Disney I can stand to watch, I tried to watch Jake one day but it’s a little too much like Dora for me! Lol Jake however is super adorbs, not surprised Maddie loves him!

I suggest for Woody and Buzz to go straight to TSM at rope drop, grab a fp, jump in standby, and after riding standby, jump right into the toy’s meeting line! We did that last month and it worked wonderfully!

You’ve never seen Fantasmic?! WHAT?! Lol, it’s pretty great! I have to say if I had kids in tow, I’d be getting the dinner pkg too, just to not have to wait that long, hopefully you guys really enjoy it!

YAAAAAYY I’M IN THE LEAD FOR THE ADR GAME!!! Bahahaha, but seriously, I started super late…I’m good at these things…

Hmmm….I’m going to guess that you’re doing CRT on this MK day, considering you’ve got the BBB in the morning, I FEEL like that makes sense….it could be BOG….but I’m going with CRT!

ETA: AH! I missed the last update somehow

Saw the Lilo dress on facebook, it’s super cute! Also love the shirt. Baha! I so don’t do pants either, I wish I lived somewhere warmer! I’m all about the shorts, yoga pants, capris, dresses, hate jeans, hate hate hate them. Maddie and I are so the same lol.

Oh my goodness Maddie is just the cutest thing ever, she’s already doing the perfect princess poses! She definitely is one! I’m also in love with that tiara!

I love Ryan Seacrest too.

I have to admit that I've never really understand March Madness or brackets or anything, so all the 'seed' talk is pretty lost on me, BUT it's fun to vote so whatever!

Voting for... Citricos, Be Our Guest, Boma, and Casey's.

Okay, so I've never done the drawing class with a child, but I did do it with my little brother with down syndrome, and I have to say that he did a WONDERFUL job following directions. So I feel like if Maddie is already good at drawing, she should enjoy herself there. :goodvibes

DANG, I'm tied for FIRST?! WHAT? Hhaha, awesome!!! I didn't expect that. My guess for this round is Be Our Guest.

That skirt is ADORABLE, oh my good gracious. Love it!!

My guess for your day 3 is that you're going to try for Be Our Guest counter service for lunch (no ADRs needed) after Maddie is all princess-ified at BBB princess: , so your dinner reservation must be for Cinderella's Royal Table! This morning was our 180 days out and after calling right at 7 am, I was able to get all of the ADRs that we were hoping for! - including BOG and CRT! Yay!!! I'm SO excited.... I feel like I've been walking on clouds all day!!!:jumping1:

My choices for the next matchups are:
Signature/Celebrity Chef
Citricos

Character/Dinner Show
Be Our Guest

Table Service
Boma

Counter Service
Tangerine Cafe

The pink sparkle twirl skirt is just amazing! It's the perfect match for that t-shirt!!- which I love by the way! And boy is Carissa lucky to get matching outfits too! You might have to invest in a Bedazzeler for her glass slipper top :rotfl: lol
