"You want to ride Dinosaur again?" - New 10/21 - The End!

Wow, unbelievable about the wallet! Sorry you had to have such a headache punctuate your trip... :headache:

LOL about the juice geyser... (sorry)... it's just such a funny mental picture!

What a perfect way to start your vacation... relaxing time with family! :cloud9:

Kathy

Just picturing the sippy cup and the geyser made me laugh! :rotfl: Did it land on anyone around you?? :rolleyes1

You know the toddler who was climbing and screaming? That would have been me with Connor. :sad2:

Glad you got to relax at your in-laws house. :thumbsup2

And oh no about the wallet! Thank goodness they let him fly without his i.d.! And yay for Disney finding it! :cool1:

Oh, goodness -- that apple juice!

Swimming must have been so nice! I can't wait for swimming weather!

What a hassle about the wallet, but how wonderful that it was found! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing your trip report. I'm glad they eventually found your DH's wallet.

OK Amy,

I am sorry...:guilty:

guess I've been under a rock or something...or I have just pulled a Carissa w/ your TR....JK

I knew you were back and knew you had started based on your siggie...but never saw any new posts in my CP....well DUH! me, I never subbed in!

Better late than never huh?

Ok so :woohoo: I'm here!

Anybody ever open a straw sippy cup after the plane has reached altitude? About 30 minutes into the flight I opened up Zachary’s cup of juice and it squired so high it looked like a geyser! :headache: It went everywhere. He was oblivious while he played his game… I tried to clean up the best I could with tissues and wet wipes.

Nice one....

don't know if this has happened to me on a plane in a geyser...but know the feeling....

There were a mom and toddler sitting a couple rows in front of us on the other side of the aisle. I felt so bad for both of them.

Ok when I first read this I was thinking the juice sprayed all over them.....

– it made me think, “Thank goodness that isn’t one of my kids!” :worship:

hear ya

On the way down we almost lost Zachary in an elevator. He hopped in and the doors started to close. :scared1:

whoops...

We had an uneventful drive to DBIL’s house.

good to hear...glad you didn't get lost!

We arrived at Jeff & Karen’s house around 6:30 and they had dinner ready for us.

very nice :thumbsup2

Finally we could relax! :cloud9:

Yay you deserve it!

On our last day, Tim lost his wallet at DHS! :scared1:

I agree :scared1:

They mailed out the wallet today! Thank you Disney!!

whew! what a relief..too bad he had to go thru all that pre effort to secure your info...but Glad it was found!

Looking forward to more!

and Happy Mama's Day!

I've done you one better then the apple juice box....bottle of soda! What a mess!

Hi Amy!

I hope you had a Wonderful Mother's Day!

The juice story is funny! I hate to be sticky...you probably handled it better than I would have!

We have a red van too! ;)

DHS must be the place to lose wallets! More on that coming up in my TR! :rolleyes1

I'm glad the wallet fiasco turned out in the end. What a pain to have to cancel everything, but good job to Disney for finding and returning it. AMAZING considering the number of people in and out of those parks on a daily basis.

Ugh, missing wallets can be a major pain in the drain, with all the replacing, reissuing, etc but glad your DHs showed up again finally!:yay:

:scared1: re: the apple juice. It would never have occured to me that apple juice +straw+high alltitude=geyser. Glad the plane trip went smoothly.:)

Your boys look so cute and relaxed in the pool. What a nice way to start your vacation.:goodvibes

DH was most concerned with the actual wallet... it was new & he loved it. Fortunately we are getting it back. We still don't know where it was found - he tried to call yesterday, but I guess the main Lost & Found wasn't open?? Hopefully he can find a minute to call this week. I'm very curious. I'm guessing at the bottom or the RnRC!

Relaxing at the pool after a long day of travel was great! :thumbsup2

Luckily the juice stayed near us, but it was all over the window and the back of the seat in front of us. Plus inside Zach's carry on bag. :headache:

Aren't you glad you don't have a toddler anymore? I miss it sometimes, they are so cute and curious... But boy can they be stubborn too!

Oh, goodness -- that apple juice!

Swimming must have been so nice! I can't wait for swimming weather!

I really felt like the wallet would be found - I'm much more of an optimist than DH. He thought it was gone for good.

Happy Mother's Day, Amy!

Thanks! I hope you enjoyed the day.

Thanks for sharing your trip report. I'm glad they eventually found your DH's wallet.

:welcome: Thanks for reading!

Very Awesome!

Glad you got your wallet.

I'm on board!

:welcome: Thanks for joining me!

Glad you found me - it wouldn't be the same without you. :goodvibes

I'm still way behind on a couple of my subscriptions - Life definitely gets in the way when you get back from a trip.

Thanks! Yesterday was a nice day. I hope you had a nice day too!

I've done you one better then the apple juice box....bottle of soda! What a mess!

Yuck! :scared:

Uh oh...

Sunday April 26th

Today everyone got up fairly early and we headed for the beach. We drove about 20 minutes to a beautiful white sand beach!! We’d been there once before, in 2006 and it was as gorgeous as I remembered. We spent a couple hours at the beach, playing in the surf and sand!

After a couple hours we headed back to the house and went straight to the pool. We hadn’t eaten at the beach so we unloaded our cooler and had lunch by the pool. Dnephew, “J” showed and swam with the kids. Jeff went to pick up Dniece, “K”. (K isn’t allowed to ride with J since he’s only 16.) We swam for an hour or so then headed back to their condo. Zach played video games with K for a while and the rest of us just hung out. Jeff & Karen have two little dogs (teeny tiny dogs). Alex is scared to death of dogs & didn't like them being anywhere near him. But it was funny, because he liked when he could see them from behind a gate. He would play with them over the gate - it was cute! And it's a really big deal that he even interacted with them at all.

We had some dinner then went back to the pool for an hour. After swimming, J & K left to go back to their mother’s house. We said good-bye knowing we’d see them again on Thursday. We gave the kids showers and got them to bed. I did a load of laundry and Tim & I had a chance to sit down and relax with just Jeff & Karen.

Monday, 4/27 – Disney Day!!

The next morning, Jeff & Karen both had to go to work. We said our good-byes around 6:45 and off they went. I did a couple loads of laundry (sheets & towels, plus a little of our stuff) while we ate breakfast and packed back up. We left around 9:00 and made a couple stops for groceries at Publix and a toaster at Target. Tim thought I was crazy to be picking up a toaster (which we used every day btw) and didn’t believe I would be able to find one for under $10. I ran in and he was waiting patiently to hear the total when I came back out… Guess how much the toaster cost?

Up next: Welcome Home!

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!!

I had a great day here! DH brought me coffee in bed, took Alex to his swim class so I could go flower shopping with Zach. Then I got a few hours to get my planters ready for spring/summer! We had a little BBQ with our moms in the afternoon. It was a great day - and the weather cooperated. :thumbsup2

sounds like a great and beautiful precursor day to Disney at the beach and w/ your family!

The sand looked gorgeous! I love that fine pretty white stuff.

Looking forward to hearing about your Welcome Home and 1st impressions of CBR....

Nice score on the toaster....you are good!

What a fun day at the beach, Amy!

Between all that time in the ocean and the pool, Alex and Zach must've looked like prunes!! :lmao: I'll bet they slept really well that night!

My guess for the toaster is....

$9.99 !!

Kathy

Love the pictures of your boys on the beach. Looks like they were having a ball. Did they like the water?

On your way to Disney!:yay: Can't wait to hear all about it.:goodvibes

Wow Amy...that beach is beautiful! It looks like your boys had an awesome day!! :beach:

Sounds like you had a very nice visit with your family. :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear about Arrival at Disney Day! I'm so looking forward to hearing about your trip! popcorn::

I'm glad you had a nice Mother's Day! :)

I paid $4 for my "disney" toaster at Walmart so I'm guessing $6 at Target in Florida. I loved being able to have english muffins and bagels in the morning at Disney....the cereal bars weren't cuttin' it for DH the year before.

As for the toaster... LOWER!

What gorgeous white sand beaches!!! I bet the boys had a blast there!

Yeay for heading to Disney!!! :yay:

The beach was beautiful - the sand was so fine!

They definitely liked the water! The pool was better, but the ocean water was somewhere in the 70s - which they thought was cool - the ocean water here doesn't get that warm all summer!

Wow Amy...that beach is beautiful! It looks like your boys had an awesome day!! :beach:

I'm glad you had a nice Mother's Day! :)

Arrival Day is coming right up!! We had such a nice time with our family - I think we'll plan to spend more than 2 days at their house next time. :thumbsup2

Yah, Yah... I'm working on it!

I paid $4 for my "disney" toaster at Walmart so I'm guessing $6 at Target in Florida. I loved being able to have english muffins and bagels in the morning at Disney....the cereal bars weren't cuttin' it for DH the year before.

And MRYPPNS is the winner!! $6.33!!
