You Said What to Alice and the White Rabbit?-the end, 1/10 pg 15

I took my two boys down 3 days early before the rest of the family came in June. I was a little nervous at first but we had the best time. We were able to go from open to close if we wanted to because DH usually doesn't like being in the parks that long. We were so tired but it was the best part of the trip.

Thanks for the tip on the studio. You may need to send me another message. I didn't get a request yet. :confused3

Chris is planning to go and we have flights booked. :cool1: However I am not sure if he can stay the whole time due to school but we are planning on it.

Yea, you found me!!!! I still have a lot to learn on that Facebook thing.

You and Jeremy will have a blast! You won't have to worry about Dad getting tired of it, and he will be more ready to go back and enjoy it in the spring. You will love going in the spring, especially if the winter is as long and drawn out as it was last year!

I'm going to try to find you on FB, too.

Jeremy is really excited. Jeremy is a lot like me and gets up earlier than Tom so I think we will have a great time. Even though Tom is not going, he is really happy about this EMT class he is taking. Actually, this is the first time I have seen him so excited in a while about work!

I am really excited about the spring trip. I scored some awesome deals on airfare today out of Lexington so I hope those prices will continue in April! Plus, I got my second choice on resorts with DVC.

I will PM you my last name but I am sure you are friends with Pool rat, it may be easier to find me off her friends list.

your pool time looked fun:goodvibes

your next trip should also be fun for the two of you:cool1: but Im sorry Tom cant make it

Jeremy and I are really excited. It will be different without him but fun still.

:thumbsup2Great to know! I have always wanted to do something like this with Jeremy and I know it will be extra special.

It was a busy morning in my house making the changes but I think we are done for now! I was able to get Jeremy and I some pretty cheap flights out of Lexington, KY on Air Tran. I like flying out of Lexington since it is a much smaller airport. I have never flown Air Tran but you couldn't beat the prices. :thumbsup2 I called DVC and took Tom off the ressie, added the flights, and did changes the dates! We are going to come home the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We are still at the Boardwalk the first four nights and move to SSR the last. Really hoping beyond hope that the last night's waitlist will come through so Jeremy and I don't have to move our things.

I decided I am going to do the quick service dining plan. We had originally planned to bring stuff with us when it was the whole family and eat supper off property. But, with no car that really would not work for Jeremy and me. Since table service was too much for me in the summer, I thought this would work nicely plus we would have plenty snack credits to bring Tom home some treats! I did book us a Chefs De France ressie and we have an early morning Crystal Palace breakfast before MK opens.

I still have to cancel the Wishes Dessert Party but I ran out of time today. We spent the afternoon in KY visiting the grandparents for Grandparent's Day--a day early!

Now, on to spring! I can hardly believe I have another trip to plan!!!

I called today and was able to get the Boardwalk for the entire Spring Break trip! :yay::yay: I am so glad that Tom will get to experience this resort plus it will put us closer to the Flower and Garden Festival! :woohoo:

Congratulations on getting the Boardwalk for Spring Break. We have never stayed there but it is such a beautiful resort to visit

Hey Erika! I am woefully behind on all of my subscriptions :sad2: Looks like you have been busy too though, I didn't miss too much over here!

I'm so glad that your friend found Jeremy's money envelope, what a relief to know that you didn't accidentally throw it away - I would have been nervous waiting to find out as well.

Funny that you had a problem with squeeky beds at AKL, we didn't have that at all :confused3

Very cool about the crane egg!

The pool at Kidani Village looks awesome, I really wish we had had more time so that we could have seen more of the resort.

Congratulations on getting BW for your spring break trip! I really want to stay there, even though that clown slide gives me the creeps

Bummer that Tom can't go with you in November, but it will be fun to have some time with just you and Jeremy!

I'll PM you my FB info :thumbsup2

Sorry Tom can't make the Thanksgiving trip but congrats on the spring trip!!! What are your dates? We'll be there April 22-29 - which is later than most spring breaks (so the crowds aren't usually bad). Yay for the Boardwalk!!! :thumbsup2

I'm loving all the changes!! I think it's going to be a blast for just the two of you to go to Disney, something neither of you will ever forget.

Congrats on the Spring trip and I honestly thing Boardwalk for Flower & Garden is the way to go!! :thumbsup2

I am really excited. Jeremy can hardly wait to try out the clown pool.

Yes, it has been crazy busy around here. It seems like once school started we have been on he go ever since.

The clown pool freaks me out as well! Jeremy thinks it looks great so he is very happy about it. I am sure he will be in it some in November and a lot at Spring Break.

We will be there April 6-11. I wish we could stay longer but Jeremy's spring break is only for 2 days.

I just realized I never replied to you about what we do as a PTO. Sorry about that! We have a fall carnival every year. The teachers run the games and we give them the money from their game for their classroom. We sell spirit wear that is specific to the elementary school. The teachers do a walk a thon. This fundraiser is huge and usually nets $10K. We are planning on a spelling bee fundraiser this year where the student would take pledges for every word they get correct. We are doing the art fundraiser you mentioned for the first time this year! I think it will be a big hit. We also have plans to do a 5K run/walk in the spring. We do a flower sale in May around Mother's Day. This usually makes some money but we always make sure every child has a flower to take home to their mom. I have done PTO for 3 years now so a lot of these things come easy however the first years was VERY stressful!

I'm loving all the changes!! I think it's going to be a blast for just the two of you to go to Disney, something neither of you will ever forget.

Jeremy and I are both really excited. I always wanted to do something like this with him and I know it will be a memory we will both never forget.

I think it will be great being so close to EPCOT for Flower and Garden!

Sorry to hear that Tom can't go on the November trip, but I do think you and Jeremy will have a great time. I took my younger son Nick with me when he was around 12. We had a lovely time. I really enjoyed it!

And :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 to a spring trip - Doesn't get any better than that!!!!!

Thanks Mary Ellen. Jeremy and I are really excited. We spent all day yesterday talking about what we wanted to do and ride. He loves Disney as much as I do so it should be lots of fun.

I am giddy about the spring trip!!! I have always wanted to see the Flower and Garden Festival. I know there will be a Mickey gnome coming home with me!!! Plus, Jeremy will be 10 by then so I think I might schedule the Steam Train tour. He loves trains and this would be perfect for him.

I think the one on one trip sounds grand! It will make for some very special memories!

I sent you a friend request! So glad we can meet up there as well.

I am really looking forward to spring break. Like the trip in November, it will only be for 5 nights but it will be lots of fun. I can't wait to see the flower and garden festival!!

I am loading pictures tonight so hopefully an update tomorrow or Friday at the latest!

I am going to try and get a quick update in today. We have been super busy at home! It is popcorn time for scouting and I am our pack's popcorn kernel! What a corny name! On top of placing our first round of orders, I made a gigantic mistake and ordered 32 cases and not 32 bags of one type. So, my house is popping over with popcorn!!! My pack is doing a great job getting rid of it but I have been extrememly stressing lately.

Plus, it is the week all kids and big kids at heart look forward to in our town--fall break and particularly the little state fair!!! Yes, our county fair is known as the little state fair and it is fabulous! There is so much to see and do and we will be there every night! Jeremy did his first individual 4-H project this year in woodworking. He got 3rd place and we are super proud of him. He was the youngest kid in the class and a lot were high school aged so he did well. Tonight is the huge fair parade and our scouts have a float. The parade usually lasts at least 2 hours and always ends with a fly over from air care. I will post pictures of everything and share it with you later on this week.

So onto Sunday, June 27th. We had spent a nice evening at EPCOT the night before and had a not so great meal at Garden Grill. So, where would today take us?

Jeremy enjoyed these games at the bus stop while we waited for the..........

EPCOT bus. Yes, we were headed back to EPCOT.

I know we missed rope drop and for some reason, I went and got the Soarin fast passes. I think Tom's back may have been hurting him some and I agreed to be the runner that day. After I got back we headed to Test Track and a 20 minute wait that was more like 5 minutes! :yay:

IMG_5341.jpg

Jeremy enjoyed this ride much more than any other trip so I know it will be a must do for he and I in November. We checked out all the nice cars at the end and I had to hear from Tom once more why I should have gotten a Tahoe and not a Trailblazer when someone hit me and totaled the last Trailblazer. :confused3 This is never ending in my house!!! I wish he would just go by himself a tahoe and shut up about it.

Some day I will have the extra money and surprise Tom with the Petty driving experience! For now, a picture with Jeremy in front of the car will have to do.

We headed to Innoventions to kill some time until the World Showcase opened at 11.

Jeremy seeing how strong he is.

Jeremy sending something back home.

A family favorite--the piggy bank game!

IMG_5346.jpg

I can't remember what Jeremy was saving for.

IMG_5348.jpg

Here comes the piggy!

IMG_5349.jpg

With money saved, Jeremy wanted to try some video games.

IMG_5350.jpg

Then it was time to make our own video game! I love this game. It is so much fun to play once you get home.

IMG_5352.jpg

The world showcase had opened so we headed out of innoventions and toward the world.

Up Next:

What is our new favorite restaurant on property?
What is going on with Jeremy?
What time will be go to bed? ---Guess, you will be amazed!

I'm going to guess you went to bed at 7PM! :lmao:

I can't wait to see the fair pictures, I miss going to fairs.

Woo-hoo!!! An update! I am so on the edge of my seat to know what he said to the white rabbit!! ;)

The girls loved doing the piggy bank game this summer. I think I was off getting fast passes, so I really didn't see too much of the game. My older girls played and then my husband helped the younger ones. They wanted to keep their piggy.

Our November trips are getting closer! We need to compare notes on where we'll be because our paths HAVE to cross this time!! Right now, we are planning on:
Fri 11/18 MK (we are eating dinner at 1900 Park Fare - unless I change it ;))
Sat 11/19 HS (Sci Fi for lunch)
Sun 11/20 EP
Mon 11/21 AK - and we are doing the Wishes dessert party
Tuesday - we are planning to stay for a while before we head home - but I'm not sure which parks we'll tackle.

Great update but you're killing me with the cliffhangers. :rotfl: I hope you come back soon!!!!!

Have fun at the state fair and good luck with the popcorn sales. I bet you WERE stressed when you ordered all that extra popcorn. Oh my!!!! That's a lot of popcorn to sell.
