It was a dark and stormy night...
Wait, that's the beginning of a completely different story.
This is the story of how I died...
NO, that's the beginning of Tangled.
I was working in my lab late one night...
No, that's the start of the Monster Mash. Which could work if we were going for Halloween, but we aren't.
Hi. I'm Shannon. And I'm writing my first pre-trip report! A lot of people like reading reports written by teenagers, and a lot don't. I'm going to try to put a little bit of both in here. You know, no pictures of me with obnoxious kissy-faces and inappropriately tight clothing, but with all the innocence of a seventeen-going-on-five-year-old.
Wait, so who are you again?

Me: Hello there, fellow Disney addicts, my name is Shannon, I just turned 17 a couple weeks ago, and I'll be commandeering this PTR, and if all goes well, a TR too! This is my fourth trip. I love Minnie Mouse, Fawn the Animal Fairy, and I have a completely unrealistic crush on Flynn Rider. My favourite rides are Soarin', Toy Story Mania, and Expedition Everest. I love meeting characters probably more than most five year olds, I have a passion for photography and I can quote almost any episode of How I Met Your Mother on command.
Mom: Mom is just as much of a Disney addict as I am. This will be her 5th trip to the World, and she's almost as excited as I am. She loves planning, she's on the phone with her sister (my aunt) almost every day planning their trips (they're going almost exactly one month after us). She loves Pluto, Chip and Dale, and of course, the Main Mouse. Her favourite rides are Soarin, Pirates of the Carribbean, and Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin. She can attempt to quote any episode of How I Met Your Mother but is usually corrected by me, she loves taking pictures, and she hates Stitch. A LOT.
And here's a picture of us! And Stitch. She didn't know he'd be there. If she knew, she'd be running in the other direction.

I have a Dad too, but he doesn't like going to Disney. He came with us in 2006 to the Wilderness Lodge and said it was his first and last trip. Since then, we've taken 2 mother-daughter trips, on in 2007 to Pop Century, and one in 2009 to All-Star Music. He was very generous and agreed to pay for the trip so we could get the early spring travel discount (Mom usually gets and job and pays for it herself).
Okay, Shannon, this is all well and fine, and you are very attractive, but what is with the title?
Oh, psh. I just rolled out of bed that day.
The title comes from the fact that we are planning this trip more than in the past. We subscribed to TouringPlans and I've been talking to Mom about the plans (she's not a fan of being told what to ride and when, she'd rather be spontaneous). One day I was explaining the plans when she said "Well, maybe we'll do them if it's busy one day.". I responded by throwing up my hands and quoting How I Met Your Mother's Barney Stinson...

"YOU NEED A PLAN, YOU NEED A WINGMAN!"
And that's how the title was born.
Okay, this is lovely, but where exactly are you going and when?
What, trying to stalk us?
Kidding.

We're going to Disney World (obviously) for 6 days, 7 nights at Port Orleans French Quarter, from April 3-10. We have 6 1/2 park days scheduled and so far, we only have a couple things set in stone:
On April 3rd, we're flying in early (arriving at MCO at 9:30) and shopping and DTD before hitting MK for a late Crystal Palace dinner and 2AM EMH.
If we are alive by the end of that day, it'll be a miracle.
If we are alive by the end of that day, it'll be a miracle.
April 4th, we have a 10:45 breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.
April 6th, we have an 8:20 breakfast at Crystal Palace.
Seriously. That's all we have for plans so far.
But we've been checking online and most of what we want is available.
We're doing all character meals, because we're secretly 5-year olds wearing really tall shoes.

Anyways, there will be a ton of planning going on here, and some random stories too. So please, comment and read! Instill a teenager's faith in the Disney Community! Eat your vegetables!
-Shannon.
