Is there something you like to do or splurge on that others might think is crazy? I booked the Wishes Dessert Party, but after reading some other posts, many folks seem to think its not worth it since the price went up...but I'm still excited about going

We went last year. I think the price went up since we went. I'm not sure how much it went up over last year. Anyway, it was a fun thing to do and we enjoyed it, BUT for us, it was one of those things you do once and don't really care that much about doing it again. Maybe after a few years pass.

We did Wishes. I think we had fun. It was my birthday so it was nice to do something that we had never done before. My kids liked it and dh was deployed so he didn't go. It isn't something he thinks he would like so who knows if we will ever do it again but I am glad I did it once at least.

We usually do one thing each trip that others think "isn't worth it." My thought is go and enjoy it. You might find value in something others may not.

This year we are doing the Frozen Premium package at HS - lots of people here are saying it's not worth the money. To me, I am still willing to give it a shot because it is our last day in a short trip and will be kind of like a "until next time" party for DD and myself.

Don't eat dinner LOL I booked this when we went in 2013 for my husband's bday gift and we did enjoy it, but were kind of full from dinner almost an hour beforehand, so we didn't really eat much. The view was worth it though! And having seats was nice (although no one stayed in them during the show) What did the price go up to?

I don't care what anyone thinks about how we spend our money! Lol
Hope you love the wishes party. We booked it for next month and I am really looking forward to it.

I am SOOO looking forward to it! I'm jealous you'll get there before us:goodvibes

We like to do 1 tour when we go. Originally it started when someone in our group twisted an ankle and we all had a few days of downtime. We splurged for the ultimate vip thrill tour and it was a great last day right before we left. Rode everything we like 1 last time with no waiting and then left for the airport right after. We look over what tours are available that interest us as part of our planning process now, even calling to see if they are available when we have some flexibility on when we can be there.

We're doing the Wishes Dessert Party, too, and paying the new price. Honestly, we didn't care too much about the cost. Either it'll be great and worth the money, or terrible and we'll have learned a lesson.

It's our first time booking it and we like to try new things while at Disney World, so crazy or not, we're excited!!

the "new" version with the higher price goes into effect on July 5th I believe...so after those reviews come in, then we can start to worry if we've made a mistake, LOL!!

We did the Dessert Party the first time we went to WDW in 2013; DH was not thrilled about the trip so this was my way of getting him in the mood for some WDW magic and it worked. I doubt that I would do it again but we did enjoy the experience.

We did the dessert party on our first trip and loved it! My kids are "wishing" for it for this upcoming trip and I think we will do it!

Good point! We'll eat light earlier that evening...and plan on dessert for dinner. Heck, we ARE on vacation:) The price is about $50 per person.

We may end up doing the wishes desert party on our next trip. Like others have said, it may or may not be worth it, but you don't really know until you try. Just because we like/dislike something doesn't mean that others will all feel the same way. So crazy or not... do your research, knowing what you do and don't like and give it a try if it seems like it's for you.

We really enjoyed the dessert party last year. I paid the lower price, but I have a party of 6 so it wasn't cheap. SO WORTH it! We had a great time! That trip each person had a special event in addition to the party. My youngest did the pirate adventure-had a blast. My mother and I did the keys to the kingdom tour--absolutely loved it. Dh and our 2 older sons did lunch with an imagineer-loved it too!

Here is my thought, do what you enjoy! It is your business.

Wishes cruises. Wish I could afford them more often. That said, I did 5 of the previous dessert parties haha!

This is our first trip ever to WDW and it will cover so many things... the DFi's birthday - he will be my husband by then. Our Honeymoon and a reunion with my "unbiological" sister lol. Because we fly out very early the day after the DFi's birthday, I bought a cake through Magic Kingdom to surprise him at our first day at MK - 8am Crystal Palace breakfast. It was over the top expensive, but he is worth it and so are the memories that will be created.

We also bought the Deluxe Dining Plan and Memory Maker... We are staying at Pop Century since we only have real day that we plan on being there... MNSSHP day! This whole trip is a big ol' splurge haha
