You know you are a grown up, when you are excited about buying....

I was thrilled when I got a refrigerator with icemaker and ice and cold filtered water from the door

A minivan!! I never thought I would drive a minivan....but here we are shopping for them! Now I just have to figgure out....how do you look cool in a minivan! :rotfl:

I was totally psyched when I bought a 22 ft ladder last week so I can clean gutters without stepping on the porch roof.

Does that make me an adult??

for me today, it's gutters. Never thought I would have to buy gutters, but we just bought a house that didn't have them. Seems weird to me. But they are going up now, and I am looking forward to not having an ice covered front step!! But there is a point where you come to a realization that you are an adult...when you have to buy grown up stuff, and actually get excited about it. My first time this happened....I bought a washer and dryer. What's yours?

I got excited about the new washer we bought after Christmas. Especially since we get a $175 rebate from the state of Texas. :woohoo:

However, the day I went and picked out my first set of T-fal pots and pans and felt the weight and knew they would be good for years to come (That was 5 years ago that I bought those and they still look almost new) I really felt like a grown up and was so excited.

I got my T-Fal for a wedding shower gift 19 years ago and they are still going strong. They're going to last you many more years. :thumbsup2

When I was 20 and first moved in with fiance. We didn't have much money and our first Christmas living together he asked me what I wanted and I told him a new vacuum....yeah...lol

recently I got so excited when I was looking all over for the new rubbermaid mop thats like a swifter but you could add whatever cleaning agent you want to it. When I found it (after going to 4 different stores) I was over joyed. I love that mop, its awesome!

My 17 year old son's Facebook status from December 26th.

"You know you are entering adulthood when you are excited about getting a microwave and mini fridge for Christmas".

For me, it is the stainless steel pots and pans I bought with my Chrismtas money. I can't believe how much I'm loving them. So sad.

Well I get excited about a new vacuum or floor cleaner :) Definitely not a "fun" purchase, but I do love having an excellent vacuum. So that's pretty grown up, I suppose :)

Buying a new dishwasher for our house. Both my parent's had been ill and it was up to me to pick it out. I felt so grown up getting to pick out a household appliance. I even paid for it myself since my parents were cash strapped due to not working while they had been sick and I felt that since they had taken care of me for 23 years it was the right thing to do.
