I assumed all the Disney Deluxe resorts were the same price so I did lots of reseach and decided we would stay at the Yacht Club. So when it came time to book the trip I found out it was more expensive then WL and AKL. I know I sound spoiled but I'm disappointed that I can't stay at the YC and we are now staying at WL. We stayed at AKL last trip and I wasn't thrilled with it, it was to dark and everything was a far walk, and I know the WL is on the darker side too, I wanted bright and walking distance to Epcot. Oh well next trip maybe I can stay were I really want.

Disney resorts come to down to location,location,location..WL and AKL are cheapest since they are not within walking distance of the parks and not on the monorail line.Resorts on the monorail (poly,GF and CR) are more expensive .Resorts in the Epcot resort area are also very pricey since you can walk to Epcot and DHS.You pay a premium for those locations

Sorry about that... If it's any consolation, I find WL to be not as dark as AKL. We've stayed at both (well at WL we were in the villas, but same decor). We have very little desire to return to AKL (other than for visiting the lobby and eating at Boma!) but we LOVE WL. You may end up loving it too.

Only 1 person in the party has to have the AP, with an AP you are also eligible to purchase the Tables in WOnderful card with 20% off ts dining

We are staying at the YC for our first time in April. Great rate!!

If you want bright and walking distance to Epcot, the Swan or Dolphin might work for you.
