We leave this Thursday and I am ready to twist and shout about it. Except it's a surprise for the kids so I have to be calm cool and casual about it. I've made it this far but I have found myself coming close to spilling the beans. Maybe if I tell you guys my plans I can manage to keep a lid on it a couple more days.
My Mom has arranged for round trip PT Cruiser cab service to and from O'hare. Very cool of her, the kids have always wanted to ride in a PT Cruiser.
Before the cab gets here in the morning I have a guessing game for them to play that will give them the sentence "How would you like to go to the happiest place on Earth...Today". (They know we are getting up early on Thursday morning to go to Chicago-not a lie that's where the airport is
)
We will be staying at ASMo for the first time, I think they'll love the larger than life Disney Icons.
I have ADR's at restaurants they mentioned wanting to eat at over the last couple of visits. 1900 Park Fare dinner (mom I want to eat at the GF some day), CRT Lunch (mom it would be soooo cool to eat in the Castle), Prime Time Cafe (mom that place sounds like so much fun), Donald's Breakfast at AK (mom that was so much fun-we've done it I wasn't impressed but they were).
I'm soooo excited and I have to try to keep from skipping and whistling IASW while sneaking things into the suitcases hidden in the basement.

We're flying out of O'Hare on Thursday, too! We told our son we were going about a month ago and he's been watching the movie clips of the rides on the official disney site in heavy anticipation. I still think I'm more excited than anyone else!!!

It seemed like a shorter time in hours rather than days! I'm so excited, but I have so much to do before we leave that I'm kind of frazzled!

Have a great time. I cant wait to tell my kids either. I have been keeping it a secret since MAY. I am just about ready to burst. I have almost spilled it to other relatives a gazillion times. I have 7 more weeks left.

Holy Cow since May? I've only been keeping the secret a month now! I'd have passed out if I had to keep it secret that long Hang in there, I'll let you know if it's "worth" it when we get back. I'm kinda getting nervous about it now because the "cover" is we are going to Chicago (which we are that's where O'Hare is..sorta) and the kids are all excited to go to Chicago. They are thinking...zoo...museum....Sears Tower...etc I don't know why they are so psyched about Chicago, it's not like we're far from it, just under an hour. I'm pretty sure they won't be disappointed that we'll be leaving Chicago for WDW though
