Hellooo All! I have decided that i want to write my very first PTR!!! Excitement, I know

First, let me introduce my self!! I'm Holly.

I'm 26 and have probably the 2nd best job ever! (the first would be working at Disney ofcourse) I work in a small bridal shop up here in the northwoods of Wisconsin!

This is Brad

My WONDERFUL Husband to be in just 2 short weeks!!! He is my heart, my soul and the VERY best thing that has EVER happened to me, i truley do not know where I would be without him! He is 31 and is the Asst Manager and head of HR for a very well know Department Store. He loves his job also (except for the full suit everyday )

A quick backround of US. We met..dund dun dun...at work! He was my boss whom I IMMEDIATLY had a super huge crush on and it turned out that he was pretty sweet on me too. Sooo...we start dating (secretly its a big no no at our old place of employment) But hey, sometimes you just can't help it! So we decided to move to the big cit of Milwaukee, so we can keep our jobs, but not work at the same store! We move...dun dun dun...they put us at the SAME STORE! Sooo.after 2 years of secret dating He finally found a new job and we can live Happily Ever After!!!

Flash Forward!!!!!!! We now live back up in my Hometown and have just 2 weeks left before I finally get to be Mrs. Roberts!!!



Up Next..........How the Disneymoon Came to Be!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been bitten by the Disney Bug! Or should I say I walk around in a never ending cloud of pixie dust! It is my favorite Happy Place! After recently returning from a week long "goodbye" trip with my sister last October, I have decided that it is my mission to become the family that goes there as often as possible! DH2B begs to differ...ohh I will convert him! Just you wait and see!!!!

The trip with my sister was better than I could have imagined!! She was going to be joining Americorps and be traveling all of the US for the next year!! I know for her, but she was Supposed to come and live in Milwaukee to be near me!! So sad (for me) that she got probably the greatest most giving job a person could ask for!! Oh well....but wait! Let's celebrate/mourn your leaving by going to Disney just before!!!! Oh and to make it even better...Mom and Dad will also pay for HALF of it!!!

So we are off!! With Brad giving us the old "eyeroll, are you seriously going to Disney?" looks in the few days leading up to our trip! Here are some of the wonderful memories we made that week!

We had a BLAST! We ate our way around the WS...We celebrated with the Mouse at MNSSHP...and we rode RnRC probably about 30 times!! (My alsolutely MUST do thing in all of WDW) I couldn't have asked for a better way to send my sister off!!

I then proceeded to cry for 3 straight days after I knew she was really gone

So, I had been bitten! My cloud was following me EVERYWHERE...I had to get back there, I just HAD to!!!! But how? DBF (Brad before we got engaged) was NEVER going to take me there, and no one else just understood the cravings!!!

BOOM! Flash forward again...we get engaged! Woo Hoo! Now where shall we go for our Honeymoon?!??!
ME: "Were going to DisneyWorld, you know that right?"
BRAD: "Umm...no, we are not! I am putting my foot down, I do not want to spend my honeymoon with thousands of other people!"


So that was that. I thought for sure I would NEVER make it back to the World until I have kids of my own to take.

OK, so no Disney...my heart breaks just a little, but, we are getting married and being married means compromising. If Brad really doesn't want to go, then we don't HAVE to go.

But...where do we go!!??

We throw around ideas...we both want to live in the pacific northwest, do we just fly out the Oregon, rent a car and just drive for 2 weeks? No...lets do that in the summer, who knows what the weather will be like in the middle of October...so that is back burnered for the time being.

OK, what about Mexico?? Sure! Mexico is warm! I've been there once before and it was amazingly relaxing...ok Mexico it is!!! We find the Best deal ever!! 7 nights 8 days ALL INCLUSIVE with the upgraded junior suite 500 feet from the beach, hot tub IN the room, FREE terrycloth bathrobes, private transfer from the airport to the resort (2 hours away) for only $2000!!! And the best part!??! we fly in at 9am! we have the whole day to spend in sunny Mexico! wait...even better!! We don't have to fly out until 6pm!! we get a whole nother day!! whooray!!! We are set, we are paid in full! I have come to terms with not going to Disney and am actually super excited to spend 8 blissful days with my new hubby!!!

So the months go by, and yay! It's my Birthday!! (a day which I personally feel is the best holiday in all the world! because it's a HOLLYday
BONUS: My sister is coming!! For my Birthday!! DOUBLE BONUS: She will actually get to see me in my wedding dress, and we can try on the BM dress to make sure I ordered the right size!! So we go..we try on..drama that I will not get into..I get home.
Brad and I are taking a nap before my Bday dinner at ma and pa's. My phone rings...blah "if its important, they will leave a message" My phone rings again! ...again, important=leave message. "ding ding" new voicemail! Ok i get up. I check it. It's the travel company, something with our vacation has changed, please call them back ASAP! I call...the change = your flight home has been.............CANCELLED!!!!! you have opt A leave at 11:15am or opt B leave at 11:45am? Unhappy already from the days earlier events, I am not having this!
Brad is looking at the airlines website...there is another flight leaving at 6:15...I want that flight, I can "pretend" to book it right from my computer here, put me on that one! Oh no we can b/c that is a non stop and you are on a connecting.."and???" ...and let the drama begin!!! We argue, we settle-ish, we wait, they call, no new options, we quite their "fair trade" contract --should you feel that the changes we have made are unsatisfactory for ANY reason, you have the right to a FULL refund with NO penalties" blah blah blah, not in our case?? noooo you didn't! blah blah blah I get hung up on 3 times by Management, I call someone else to complain about that, and FINALLY 7 days later, we have been assured that we will be getting a full refund!





NOW where do we go for our Honeymoon?!?!?! DISNEYWORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aaaand I'm off!!!! Brad as now agreed that we can go to Disney for our Honeymoon! How did I ever get so lucky!!

Oh look! FREE dining!! Now...to find a resort!! Because for me there is no other way to Disney than to stay onsite!! EMH!!!! So I start to plan, I find a resort! POR!! No...Brad want more privacy, ok understandable. He picks...FW Cabins! Ok I can handle that! Wait...Brad wants privacy and a King Bed. FW out. --plus I didn't really think we needed a kitchen, I'm certainly not going to be cooking on my Honeymoon! OK...soooo NOW where to stay??!! CBR!!!! I have stayed there before as a kid! It's HUGE! Surely that will be private enough for Brad! He agrees!!! Again...how did I ever get so lucky! We find a great deal on Southwest...FDDP, discounted King Bed, discounted park tickets! Aaaaand we are offically BOOKED! There is no turning back now!!!
We leave for MCO Friday 22nd and will be landing at 12:50!!!!

Now time to start making ADR's!!!! "Here we goooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

Saturday 23 -- The Plaza 3:05pm
Sunday 24 -- Hollywood & Vine 7:15pm
Monday 25 -- Via Napoli 12:45pm
Tuesday 26 -- Eating our way around the WS!!! How many loops will we do!??!
Wednesday 27 -- 1900 Park Fair 9:35am

I am also hoping to be able to walk up to the Wishes Dessert Party Saturday night and if that should fail...trying again on Monday night!

Now, normally I would be the commando type girl who has every little thing planned out (when DSis and I went last year, I even planned out showers ) I can get a little crazy sometimes!! Buuuut, since this is not DH first choice for a Honeymoon destination, I am going to try VERY hard to take it slow and really only plan out our ressies. The rest I am leaving in the air! DH is not a fan of the early morning, so I will not be shaking him at 7am to get him up for the Rope Drop. But I am hoping that he will be bitten as soon as we get there and will actually Want to do these things himself! Fingers crossed for me!!

My tentative plans for the week are more like suggestions
Friday -- Animal Kingdom EMH til 8pm
Saturday -- Magic Kingdom EMH til 3am
Sunday -- Hollywood Studios EMH til 12am plus 2 Fantasmic! shows!!
Monday -- Epcot Future World, then back to Magic Kingdom for MORE EMH til 12am
Tuesday -- Epcot World Showcase
Wednesday -- Hollywood Studios to get my fix of RnRC before we head back to the cold

So for the past month, I have been packing, and re packing and re packing (ok, so I don't actually "pack" everything, I just move it to the end of the rack in the closet and forbid myself from wearing it until we leave) Which has really been a struggle since we have had one of the HOTTEST summers ever!! and all of my favorite summer close are on lockdown

Last night I tell DH2B that we have 3 weeks left, and that I will begin the packing of his suitcase today, becuase it's just "what I do" I again recieved the "you are truly crazy" looks (like he is just finding this out now???)

So today begins my final "try on" day of all the things I will be taking with me, and if he wont let me actually "pack" his suitcase I will at least be putting several of his clothes onto the lockdown that is not to be worn until we leave ok, I guess I am a little crazy

It really wasn't all that hard actually! We tried it his way...avoiding Disney but still going someplace tropical and warm (a must for me) and when that all came crashing down, he agreed! Because at that point we were just 2 1/2 months from the wedding and we hadn't really been able to find anything else!

(we no longer trusted that One travel company that I would be willing to use because of the Terrible customer service we recieved)


I am really hoping that eventually we will become DVC members, because I truely do love to travel and if my plan fails to convert DH to a Disney fanatic, I will forever trust Disney to help with any and all other travel plans!

We are not wine drinkers never have been. I just enjoy my RUM and DH2B just likes his beer...

I WILL BE IN THE AIR ON MY WAY TO DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!

ofcouse this doesn't excite me at all can you tell??

I have 2 of my packing lists complete!! (clothes and bathroom neccesities) Now I just need to make the list of electronic items that will be needed. This will be the most important list, b/c I almost ALWAYS forget something from them! Example -- Trip to Florida last April for a Wedding = I remembered the camera, I remembered the charger! ...........I FORGOT the memory cards True its not the most important aspect of a digital camera and I can just buy another one somewhere down there, but we literally have 7 back home! Well....now we have 8

DH2B is actually starting to get excited to go to WDW!!! Shocker I know!! He has even agreed to wear his groom's ears for at least 1 FULL day!!! Last night we spent a good 2 hours just looking at all of the Food Porn pics!!! AND he even seemed sad that I had changed one of our dinner ressies from 50PTC to Hw&V!!! *After reading about how animated the CM's are at 50's i thought forsure it is something that he would NOT enjoy at all!! Ofcourse now all of the 50's slots have been snatched up so I can't go back and make a new reservation

Soooo...back to the World! DH2B is again actually getting excited!! So now I Must proove to hime what a wonderful place it is!! My MUST DO's while we are there are as follows!!

I MUST....
--Ride Space Mountian (I haven't been on it since I was 12!!)
--Go to the Bakery in Norway (I somehow missed that on my last trip as well)
--Ride RnRC as many times as humanly possible!!
--Find the Characature Artist in MK and get a drawing of us (preferably when DH is wearing said groom's ears)
--Find the best Christmas ornaments to go on my PURPLE Christas tree!!! (yes I said purple! it is B-E-A-Utiful!!!)

I know DH will want to find somewhere with.....chicken wings! His FAVORITE food...I haven't seen any on any of the menu's for our TS restaurants, sooo if anyone has any good CS reccomendations they would be Greatly appreciated!!!

That is all for now!! Today I get to go pick out the final flavors for our wedding cupcakes!!! and also stop at American Eagle to buy more white tank tops! b/c in my packing finalization yesterday I found a hole in every single one I have!!!

I'm subscribing to your thread to see if anyone has any chicken wing CS suggestions. My DH and DD are huge chicken wing fans. If we don't find chicken wings at any CS places, they'll just have to make due with the giant turkey legs.

Come on all you Disney veterans - where are the CS chicken wings at!?!

Hooray for followers!!!

Today was a very productive day for me!! Not so much on the Disney end of things, but I got quite a bit done for the wedding I got the cake (cupcakes) all taken care of for the wedding!! Don't these look delish!! They could be at Disney!!!

mmmmmmmmmmm and they were sooooo good too!!!

As far as Disney plans go...I just found out today about the GREEN MICKEY!! How, after reading the boards non stop for the past couple weeks, did I not know about this is beyond me!! But I do now!! So be on the look out for meeee!!!! Ofcourse, I will just have to find a way to include purple in the making of mine

And now I am off to clean the house!!! We will have a FULL house in just over a week and the way it is looking now, I don't even want to live in it!!! OOPS!!! But I will leave you with my absolute Faaavorite pic of me from last year at Pixie Hollow!!! I was more excited that all of the little girls there!!!! I hope DH will let me meet her again!!

Good Morning Everyone!! No new updates on the Disneymoon, but I do have a question for others who have Honeymoon-ed at the World!!

The groom's ears that are more like a full top hat (rather than the standard beanie with a minnie top hot in top of it) Anyone know if these can be embroidered like the other Mouse Ears?? I have tried looking them up on disneystore dot com, but they are sold out and dont really give me a good description!!

*Since DH2B has supposedly agreed to wear some for at least 1 day, I would like to use these since they don't appear to have the elastic string that goes under your chin, he may decide that no way will he wear them!!
