You know all the queens are evil, right? Ch. 8 - The one where we keep an ADR.

I've been behind, but I'm caught up. :thumbsup2 Hope you get the wine in the room, but hooray for the wine at the Loop-De-Loop. ;)

I do not like standing around in the cold, either.

V, really? I guess I've never checked out the Canadian beer here. As a border state, I wonder if we have the same issue? :confused3

I was behind too! I am planning to do an update tomorrow so I can finish day one. :lmao:

At least there was wine somewhere!

So you just stay inside all the time then? :rolleyes1 Sorry, one Yankee joke per visitor, I promise!

You know now that I think of it there are TWO canadian beer stories in this TR, I just need to hurry up and get to them!

Donna Sue is one of those people who calls things by the wrong name or mispronounces things a lot. I don’t know why, I used to correct her but she just does it that way. The example that I can think of right now is guacamole - she calls it “whack-a-molly.” And she was born and raised in Texas. So when I first planned our ADRs, she kept talking about the Hoo-de-Loo or the Loop-de-Doo or the Hoo-hoo-hoo. Now that I know there is no point in correcting her, I just kept making up names too and they evolved over time. And so, we ended up going to the “Who-de-What” Revue for dinner on our first night. :upsidedow
:rotfl2: I love this!

Donna Sue pointed out that all the kids in the room were really drinking in the singing and dancing too.
Um... :scared:
(The singing and dancing, y'all. They weren't drinking in the wine. Sheesh!)
Oh, phew! :rotfl:

Well, I don’t know where the bus stop is but I do know where the boat dock is, so we’ll just go there. What could go wrong?
Uh-oh... popcorn::

Yep, but we got true Canadian beer in Buffalo; it was just cheaper to go over and buy it at the Duty Free Shop. Or was it the other way around? I forget how that worked now, but there were many, many border crossings in the name of cheaper beer and cigarettes, lol!

Okay, now you have me thinking I need to change our ADR's to add in the Loop-de-do-loo-loo!

It sounds like a lot of fun and I think my kids would really get a kick out of it. Hmmmm....don't you hate it when you've got all your ADR's made out and then you read someone else's story about a great place and it makes you think you need to rethink what you worked so hard to already figure out?!? I'll have to think more on this one.

Your cracking me up about slipping your own rum into the park. I never would have thought about putting it into plain site with a water bottle, I guess they wouldn't think to check it since it looks like a plain water bottle. Your a cheeky little monkey aren't ya?

As for my leg, it's not as big a deal as it sounds. I wish I could give you some great story about how I did it, but I can't. :sad2: I did it just cleaning windows and screens outside on the back of my house and must have bent over at the waist straight legged one to many times, I never felt a pop or a pull or anything, just got up from a chair later that day and felt some strange pains I had never felt before and had some minor swelling issues with my leg and knee from that point forward. Went to the doc and she said I need some physical therapy and I should be more than good to go by the time the trip comes around, she even wanted me to do some PT for my lower back to get that back into shape. (I'll explain in a bit about the back)

Now I don't feel the pain in the back of the leg unless the P.T. is massaging the snot out of it, which she's done and left a bruise. :scared: Very normal for this thing due to breaking up the scar tissue, they have to break up the scar tissue so it won't be more suseptable to re-injury. I'm sure this is waaay more than you or anyone else wanted to know about me.
To be honest.... I was actually excited about going to PT, I knew this would help me to be my strongest going to WDW and not be in near as much pain as I was in the time before when I went. (when I walk a lot my knees and back hurt a lot)
The therapy has been doing wonders for my leg, as well as my back. I had five partially slipped discs in my lower back from years past and just thought there would be no way to come back from that....little did I know that I can not only come back from it I can even start to train for the 5K I'm thinking about training for some day soon. I've thought about doing the C25K program, it literally takes you from the couch to 5K over the course of time. I've heard a lot of people doing it and I just thought it was a pipe dream to say I could do it. My physical therapist says it should be very do-able once I've gone through what I need to do there. :yay:

Okay, so now that I've drone on to long about my minor injury I'll let you have the floor back. :upsidedow
Thank you for writing this report Elizabeth, I know it's a big undertaking with work and your life outside of work. I'll try and be better about getting in here when you post something, it's been a bit of a whirl wind of late trying to get the house ready for guests since graduation is like a week after we get back from WDW. Not to mention getting everything ready for the trip!
I think I've got everything covered now and it's a matter of fine tuning my plans, making Mackenzie's autograph book, and packing! :woohoo: So I think I'm all set! :yay:

Blessings and love to you my Texas Sista!

Your kids would love it but I'm sure you'll be back again soon! Maybe we should make a group trip at peepfest? :rotfl2:

Nope, they don't open the water bottles and smell them or anything...actually got the idea from an old trip report here about taking in Sunny D bottles with alcohol in 'em!

Sorry I cut a little in the middle so this would all fit. I only ever hurt myself doing every day things (e.g., broken toe.) :goodvibes

I've done Couch to 5K! A few years ago, and ran the state fair 5K. This year DH and Donna Sue and I will be walking a 5K in a couple of weeks...after I had knee surgery I asked my orthopedic surgeon when I could start running again and he said never. Since I hate to run anyway I didn't argue. :rotfl2:

Thanks Camille! This is more work than I thought but I haven't given up on it, just going slow! You are so close to your trip now, I hope you have a wonderful time!

I wanted to pop in and see if you had an update. :guilty:
Hope you come back soon.

My siggie looks sad without the ticker. :sad1:
