I think you might be thinking of the Toolbar, Elaine, this is a brand new one, of acouple days ago, a Deskbar. Check it out.

Want to know what 100 miles is equal to in inches?

Type in 100 miles in inches

Want to know what 108,000 kilometers is in miles? Type in 108000 kilometers in miles

Want to know how many teaspoons are in 4 cups? Type in 4 cups in teaspoons

And for those Trekkies that want to know what 50 light years in Parsecs is....

Type your phone number in the search bar! (In the xxx-xxx-xxxx format)

It will most likely return with your name and address, and offer a link to a MapQuest to your house!

I'm not sure if I like this one, or not, but I'm sure the same info is available all over the Internet - not just Google.

But - FYI - once you enter it, it will give you the opportunity to block Google from showing that information again...

Yes I was Dan I looked at it quickly and thought it looked like the toolbar I have. I'll have to look at it again.

Beth, it only works if you have your phone number listed in the phone book. And if that's the case, someone could locate your home without the help of Google... just took out one step for you. Part of the reason why I am not quick to give out my last name (although no one knows how to spell it and my name isn't even in the book itself).

It takes 48 hrs to block your addy but it does work, I did this last week.

I am often heard saying "Google it!" I am the google queen! At work my i'm fried from the exciting life of insurance i just start googling things! If someone asks "have you seen the remote control" i say "nope, why don't you google it?" AND NOW I AM IN LOVE WITH THE GOOGLE DESKBAR!! YAY it feels life christmas!
