You just lost 80 pounds! What are you Going to do next? Ending TR

Huh....well.....peddies and uh.......products. Why do I suddenly feel like Hank Hill?

Oh yes the busses to DTD can be a bear.

Love the LM room and all the cute touches.

Glad you got to the Swolfin and got your pedi in. Nice Mother daughter time.

Cute picture of the two of you in front of the fountain!

I agree that the Swan and Dolphin are gorgeous. So glad you had some relaxing moments in the spa. Sounds like it was a lot of fun for both of you. Yeah - I don't get the blue nail polish either. But my mom reminded me recently that I used to paint my toenails black. :faint:

Looking forward to you meet with Jill.

Love the LM rooms - they are so cool!

Huh....well.....peddies and uh.......products. Why do I suddenly feel like Hank Hill?

I'm with GB on this chapter. Between spa treatments and feminine products, I kind of feel like I landed on Neptune and am trying to figure my way around as best as I can. I'm sure all this stuff like "mani-pedis" means something, but darned if I could tell you. You didn't happen to take any pictures of explosions or football games while you were there, did you?:rotfl2:

Great update. You two look great despite what you think about hair and such. The Mermaid room looks sweet. I've always been a fan of the movie. That's funny about the bathroom freebies, lol!

Thank you Michelle

The LM rooms are sweet, Mackie said she wouldn't have minded if we had stayed there the whole time, but then again she said that about POR too. :)

I've been a huge fan of the movie was well, I was 18 when that movie came out, a guy I was head over heels for took me to see it. It was a late showing so there was only he and I and one other couple, who felt silly going into see it, or maybe it was the guys that felt funny about it, either way I loved it and so did my date. :upsidedow Then later on when the movie came to VHS I was working at Block Buster video and we heard that movie eeeeevery day, all day long during the day and early evening shift, I knew that movie forwards and backwards.
My favorite line...."Meeermaid off the port bow!! Ariel! How ya dooooin', kid?!? <Ariel pulls down the telescope> Scuttle: Whoa, what a shwim!!

Love the spa over at the Swolphin! It is beautiful! They did such a good job with the LM rooms..so fun!

It most certainly is, and it's hard to impress me, this place....I was impressed! :thumbsup2

Loved the LM room, we really enjoyed being there for the short time we were there. I would have liked a couple more days there for sure, such a great resort!

Can't wait to read the next part....popcorn::

Jill in CO

:goodvibes You're so cute. Hope I do it justice. ;) You are welcome to tell it from your point of view if you want. :)

Cute rooms.

I wish I had taken advantage of the spa when we stayed at Dolphin in April, but we didn't have much time.

I actually thought of you when we were there, I thought...."Now this is a place Ms. Kat would love." I knew you liked going for massages, and I thought that would have been the ultimate place to have gotten one. I think Mackie and I will find out the next time we go, they have a mother/daughter massage listed in the teen menu, much cheaper to go that route. NOT to say it's cheap by any means, but you know what I mean. pirate:

:rotfl: It's funny that the guys only see those two things in all that I reported on.

GB, you'd think with all the women in your house you'd be use to it by now, and if you aren't, you're about to be, Mr. Hill ::yes::

Sounds like your trip is going great! The spa sounds amazing- ill have to remember that for my girls!

Yes, yes you should. :) Check out their menu for teens, it's a lot cheaper for the girls. To be fair though, we only did a polish/color change, but it was still fun to be there and to see the gorgeous resorts and spa. :cloud9:

Oh yes the busses to DTD can be a bear.

Can't they though?!? I knew they could be a bear to get back on, but not to!

Love the LM room and all the cute touches.

They really out did themselves with this resort. I would have loved to have stayed in a Lion King suite or Nemo suite too.

Glad you got to the Swolfin and got your pedi in. Nice Mother daughter time.

It was very relaxing, only we didn't do an actual pedi, just a polish change, I don't want to steer anyone wrong. It was a $30 dollar difference, I was sticking with what was going to be cheaper. :rotfl: And yes, the mother daughter time was wonderful, and fun! :goodvibes

Sorry, it's workout time.

I'll have to come back later and finish up responding to y'all posts. :goodvibes

Hi Camille. I've been quite behind on the DIS with moving, having company and adding a 2nd job to the mix. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. He sounds like a wonderful man who had a long, and fulfilling life.

Love the LM room! I love the bedspread more than the carpet - looks like you're in the water. What a nice treat to head to the Swalphin spa. That hotel does look really special - must visit it sometime. :thumbsup2 Thanks for sticking with your TR with all you have going on. I have a new one in my siggie - I didn't PM you because I put it on the FB site. I'll call you soon. Miss You! :flower3:

huh, never realized that there was a spa in the swalphine...will have to remember that.

sounds like it was a good time.

I am having the gastric surgery soon and someone told me to tell them at the restaurant but I think I can pick around fish and chicken while I am there.
Sorry about your Grandfather.
The room looks great. 108 days and I will be in one.

Hey everyone!! :wave2:

I apologize for not being here more. I've got a fairly full plate here of late, as I type I'm in the middle of a birthday party for Mackie, (John has them at the pool right now) and I'm trying to get Mackie packed for a trip to her grandparents for a few weeks.
And as some of you know, my grandfather passed this week and I'm trying to get myself together for that (had to shop-got the little black dress I wanted from waaay back-some of you may remember from my PTR).
While I'm sad for the loss of my grandfather, I'm actually happy more than sad because he was so content, happy, and ready to go home to our Lord the day he died. He lived a good long life (95 years old-almost 96) and had a lot of stories he left behind. I think that's why I like the older generations so much, there is so much to learn from them, they are like walking history books, but better because they are telling it from their perspective! :upsidedow

I am so sorry for your loss Millie, I missed this (am crazy behind everywhere) due to vacation and just now getting caught up. I am glad to hear that the funeral was calm after all.

Mackie finally makes her way back to the relaxation room and sits down next to me and starts taking things out of her bag....Mackie-"Mama, what do you think this is? <hands me a plastic thing wrapped up into a tight little package> Me-<half way into a comatose state tries to take it and drops it>
Mackie- <without missing a beat>"That's okay, I've got another one!" and grabs another one out of her bag. We both cracked up in the quietest way we could possible. I'm tellin ya, it's bad to take us Texans anywhere, we aren't the most quiet people.
Little Miss had gone into the bathroom where there are lots of freebies for the guests to use, she picked up several things while she was in there. I didn't discover most of the items she took until well into the trip. I couldn't help but crack up one morning (well into the trip) when she was trying to figure out how a certain feminine product worked. I think you ladies under stand what I'm talking about.

Oh that is flat out hysterical :lmao:

I hear you on the blue toes. What's even worse is dark purple on the fingers...and all chipped but the chipped either doesn't bother them or is somehow "in".

Dead Barbie. :rotfl2:

LM room is very cute!

Finally here to finish up responses. :goodvibes This is week is about getting my boy back to college and Mackie is coming home from Calif. :yay: <---Yes, on both accounts, I know I'm a bad mom for being excited the boy is going back. It's hard having another "adult" in the house, they think they know everything, argue everything and make you crazy!!! :crazy2:

Cute picture of the two of you in front of the fountain!

Thank you, I just wish it had been in better focus. Oh well, at least the man was nice enough to offer. :)

I agree that the Swan and Dolphin are gorgeous. So glad you had some relaxing moments in the spa. Sounds like it was a lot of fun for both of you.

They are gorgeous!! I just wish we had some more time at the spa getting treatments!! ::yes::

Yeah - I don't get the blue nail polish either. But my mom reminded me recently that I used to paint my toenails black. :faint:

I wish the blue would go out of style, but I have a feeling it won't be for a while. Have you seen some of the pastels that are in style right now? :scared: Black I hate to say is back in style and has been for a while now.

Looking forward to you meet with Jill.

Love the LM rooms - they are so cool!

Meet with Jill coming up soon. :goodvibes

The LM rooms are adorable, and at least there is some covering for the Bus stops there at that resort, all the other values don't have them. :sad2:

Y'all crack me up, out of all the things I shared that's the only things that stand out to y'all. Hopefully my next post will be better for you guys. :rotfl:

Great update! :)

Thank you!! And thank you for reading along!! :thumbsup2

Hi Camille. I've been quite behind on the DIS with moving, having company and adding a 2nd job to the mix. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. He sounds like a wonderful man who had a long, and fulfilling life.

Oh my heavens, not to worry!! You have a really full plate right now and I know you'll get over here when you can. Can't wait to hear from you. :)
Thank you for your kind words about my grandfather.

Did y'all stay at the LM rooms while you were there? For some reason I thought you stayed there?? :scratchin

The Swalphin was such a beautiful place, can't wait to go back and explore a bit more and have some more treatments. :thumbsup2

huh, never realized that there was a spa in the swalphine...will have to remember that.

sounds like it was a good time.

::yes:: You'll have to book something special for you and your honey on your next trip!! :thumbsup2 Or just for your honey. :goodvibes

It's the Mandera Spa. Very nice. ;)

Jill in CO

::yes:: See, two girls telling you it's nice. I know you'd enjoy it Dan, I know it sounds a bit girly to do a spa, but I think guys would really enjoy it if they gave it a try. :)

I am having the gastric surgery soon and someone told me to tell them at the restaurant but I think I can pick around fish and chicken while I am there.
Sorry about your Grandfather.

Dear Scott, I think I'm having serious brain farts today. :scared: I can't remember if you've posted on here before or not. I've seen you around a lot on the Dis so I'm wondering if that's why I'm not sure. :goodvibes So here's a wonderful welcome incase I haven't....

:welcome: party: :welcome:

And if I have welcomed you before, then it's always great to be welcomed again!! :wave2: :rotfl:

I'll be praying for your surgery to go well. I've had friends who've been through it and it certainly will change your life. Everything about food will be different to you (happens that way to everyone who loses a lot of weight), you won't believe how great you'll feel when you see those lbs. coming off!! :goodvibes I'm so glad you are here to read along. :)

I am so sorry for your loss Millie, I missed this (am crazy behind everywhere) due to vacation and just now getting caught up. I am glad to hear that the funeral was calm after all.

Oh gosh, not to worry. Lives during the summer, especially with kids can be a bit hectic. I know everyone will get over here as they can. :) Hope your vacation was a good one. :goodvibes
Yes, the funeral went well. Really well, and I know it was due to everyone's prayers and good thoughts. Thank you all. :goodvibes

Oh that is flat out hysterical :lmao:

It was so funny seeing her with all that stuff. She's a goofy kid, I lover her humor so much. Both my kids have fun personalities. :upsidedow

I hear you on the blue toes. What's even worse is dark purple on the fingers...and all chipped but the chipped either doesn't bother them or is somehow "in".

<exasperated sigh> Don't get me started on the chipped polish. And you see tons of girls doing it!!

Dead Barbie. :rotfl2:

LM room is very cute!

Dead Barbie is very disturbing and well, funny too. :upsidedow

LM rooms are adorable, it's a toss up if I'd want to stay there an entire trip or to stay at a Mod. the entire trip. :scratchin
I think I'm with Mackie, a change through the trip is always good if you're still exploring what's out there, and since we are I think we'll have to put at least one or two room changes in every trip from now on. :goodvibes We'll see how long that lasts if the guys come with us. :rotfl:

Hammer Time!! Better get off of here to get to it!! :cheer2:

I can not believe that I didn't know you had a trip report going. Major brain fart on my part. :p There's simply waaaaay too much to comment on so I'll just say "Wow woman, you're looking good!" and "Sounds like the trip is off to a great start...blue toes, feminine products and all". :lmao:

So glad you are here, Lisa. :goodvibes And thank you, I'll take that compliment!

:welcome: party: :welcome:

I promise, I haven't forgotten y'all. :lovestruc

Mackie came home from being in Calif. with her grandparents last Wed. and I've been occupied with getting her school stuff in order and ready for school on Monday. :cool1:

I'm hoping to be able to sit down either this weekend or Monday and get out a post or two, maybe one really looooong one. :surfweb:

Hope y'all are having a great start of the school year, may the Lord bless our kids, and their schools. I pray He keep them all safe this year (staff too), not less challenged, just safe. In Jesus name. Amen.
