I've been selling on ebay for awhile now, at first I started selling because I was just buying too much, then I just started selling more and buying less, I have been really geared up for earning some Disney money now that christmas is over. Yes it is addicting. I have moved on to the looking outside of my home for things to sell category. :-)

I know I read that earlier that it was possible to enter feedback after 90 days if one knows the item number. It seems that this may have changed with the new feedback look/system as I just tried to do it with two different items (just over 90 days) and it would not let me.

Or did I miss that it has to be entered by starting someplace other than my feedback page?

Does anyone know anything about this?

Sometimes you can and sometimes you can't : (

If you have AOL, you might have to clean out your cache..no idea why, but someone said sometimes that helps to give over the limit feedback.

For those of you who sell clothing (mainly children's clothing), when will you start to list for spring/summer? Or have you already?

Hmm... cache = temporary internet files? I don't have AOL but I happened to dump them last night. Will try again sometime today. Thanks for the suggestion. Doesn't seem to make sense to me, but then again not everything does.

I only sell what my kids out grow but I hadn't planned on listed summer clothes for at least another few months, maybe May or June (when kids actually need them). Right now the stores are filled with spring/summer clothes but you can't find winter clothes and now is when we really need them.

This is lovely except that I don't trust my postal carrier any further than my trash can. I can't tell you how many times we receive our neighbors mail and vice versa. Plus, most if not all of my packages arrive reeking of cigarette smoke and since some of them have been from my sister who doesn't allow anyone to smoke in her house, I know it is from the postal carrier. Can't have my stuff from my nonsmoking home arriving smelling like that!

A buyer has left me negative feedback that was meant for another buyer!!! I am trying to get this problem rectified. Please if you are leaving feedback make sure it is for the right person. Try to contact the person, do everything before leaving negative feedback. Once it's there, that's it! It cannot be retracted!!!

Anyone else get a BLANK PM from Pete Werner today?

Ok, I don't think I've seen this thread at the bottom of the page in QUITE A LONG TIME! Does that mean that everyone is Listing, Listing, Listing??? I hope this means that everyone is having a good week. Mine are doing pretty good. Alot with 1 bid, glad that I started them at where I'm happy to unload them & not just start low hoping for bids. How is everyone else doing?

Yep I am listing.... I got my new camera Thursday and got some more items up...

I have a question for anyone who might now.... I relisted that Disney pass because the person who orig won it never contacted me or paid for it.. I finally got it relisted and someone is asking me if I will ship to Canada... How would that work with shipping to Canada?? Do you know if it will cost more?

If you download the shipping assistant you can quickly calculate international rates. I quoted for an 8 oz piece last nite and the base rates are $7 for the large size PM envelope - I believe $4 for the small size (which you could probably do - size is 6 x 10 or so) and $2.35 (8 oz) for Airmail Letter Post. Most people add on a buck or two for the inconvenience of having to go to the PO to complete the customs form, etc. Make sure you state that you will complete the customs form accurately or someone may ask you to state 'gift' on it so they don't have to declare value.

Neither of my Canadian 'questioner's have responded yet so I may have scared them off by stating I would not declare as a gift.

I was wondering if anyone knew that if you print off a shipping label from USPS including postage, will it be "hidden" on the package like stamps.com? I would like the ability to not worry if I accidently overcharge $1-$2 for a package that I should refund the buyer. Thanks.

Here's a question that I'd like some opinions on. A couple weeks ago I sold an item, buyer paid through Paypal and told me to use the address listed through Paypal. She emails this past Thursday and wants to know if I'm ever sending her the item. I sent her back the date and time I sent it as well as the address I sent it to. Turns out to be her old address that she thought she updated but obviously didn't.

She says she'll call the new owners, but do I have any responsibility if she never gets her item? DH says its her fault and we would owe her nothing. Should I refund half though, because I didn't double-check the address with her before I sent it? She didn't want to pay the extra for delivery confirmation but from now on we'll be putting that on all our stuff even though this is the first time it hasn't been received.

No, it is not hidden.

Just curious..why didn't you offer it to the next higher bidder..or didn't you know that eBay offers that? You don't have to pay to relist it..you can just offer it throguh eBay.

Second..I would not ship that to Canada...no way to track it without expensive shipping.

I also had 4 packages take over a month to get there (sent Air Letter Post) so I'm a little down on Canada shippings and think I may remove it from my auctions.

A buyer has left me negative feedback that was meant for another buyer!!! I am trying to get this problem rectified.

A bit ago, another gal had that problem, and at first eBay said they would not remove it without going through square trade..then she found out if you keep asking, they may. This is what had to happen..the buyer had to leave it, in the same wording for another person..the one it was meant for. That was shown to eBay alond with a note from the person who posted incorrectly, and then they removed the incorrect posting. Keep in mind, it took over a month and lots of emailing.

IMO I wouldn't refund anything. You sent to the address she wanted and that was on file with PayPal which is all you could do. Why should you have to pay for her neglect to update her own address?

This is the first time since I started selling in August that I don't have anything up on Ebay. I feels so strange. I've got an auction to go to tomorrow night if we don't get this big ice storm they're predicting so I'll have things to list when we get back.

I'm so used to being on ebay and without anything up I'm buying. Bad jennymouse, bad. I just tried to pay by paypal and got an error message saying "this service is temporarily unavailable" so if you've got auctions closing tonight and aren't getting paid right away, that may be the reason.
