Good for you, Jennymouse, that is AWESOME
:jumping1:
::yes:: :goodvibes

Sorry to detract from jennymouse's well-wishes, but I have little question.

I had to refund payment to a buyer after she returned an item (I incorrectly stated the size so it didn't fit). Do I need to go through the NPB proces in order to recoup my FVF? if so, how does that affect the buyer if they are otherwise an outstanding buyer/seller?

Actually, I would like to know the same information as a person who won one of my auctions feels he cannot get it in time after I'd been offline in the hospital for five days. I would like to recoup my fees but not put a black mark on him.

First..congrats Jenny!! Great sale!!
Do I need to go through the NPB proces in order

You do, but it will be a little bit different. When you get to the "why", just put you both agreed. It will go directly to the final fee return. It won't affect either you or the buyer.

CAnn..check out the resort boards..a new code came out today for Disney hotels. $55 for All Stars ($49 for AP holders).
You might not go..ohhh noo.

Thank you Doris

edit:

I went through the NPB process, entered the amount paid incl. shipping and got a message that the amount exceeded the amount of credit (or something to that effect). I went back and changed the amount the the final bid amount and still got the error. I went back two pages and tried to submit again and was told a NPBA was already submitted. ??????

I'm taking my 80 year old Dad to WDW in February and this old crow just might pay our way! WoooHOOOO!

OK - I guess I need to pay more attention to ugly (no offense!!!! - just kidding) things at rummage sales!! I would expect to see it with about a $2 price tag on it!!!!! I am JEALOUS!!

Shipping would not be part of it..eBay never got a percentage so they wouldn't be interested in giving you back anything on that.

Look at your ebay account, and see if you got credit.

jennymouse WAY TO GO !!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

That is INCREDIBLE - but I have to admit, if I saw it in an estate sale I would have thought it was ugly and passed it by.. Hmmmm.. Maybe we should ALL "rethink" our attitudes towards "ugly" - huh ?? LOL

-------------------------------

DMRick - We'll get there SOMETIME - I just don't think it will be February.. There's NO WAY I'm going to throw away the $657 I spent on those 3 airline tickets.. I'll use them before August if I have to fly down and back three times just for the DAY - LOL.. :teeth:
------------------------------------

Well - I was gonna tell you all about an item I bought for $19.99 that sold for over $60 tonight - but - looks pretty "blah" next to that ugly old crow - ha! :)

---------------------------------

In case you're all wondering where I've been - or where I will be - I've gone back to work 3 days a week and I'm still trying to get my bearings here and work out some sort of system so I can do everything I need and want to do.. Extra hard with all the holiday preparations and such, but I'm sure it will all come together sooner or later.. I'm kind of glad I went back to work - the "old gang" gave me an awesome "Welcome Back" and I thought my former supervisor was going to CRY 'cause she was so happy.. Things seem to be a little better there now - hopefully they'll STAY that way!

Anyhow - I know if I'm not on the thread all that much for awhile I can count on all of you to answer questions, help each other out, offer advice, etc.. I kind of feel like a "Mommy" who's watching her "babies" walk for the first time.. You've all done so well - taking that first "baby" step and now you're off and running!! Keep up the fantastic work......

I'm SOOOOO proud of all of you !!!!!!!! :wave2:

Welcome, Dan! :wave2:

Your arrival was a bit lost in the excitement about jennymouse's sale! You read the existing pages much faster than I did--it took about a month!

You'll enjoy this board. Everyone is helpful and frequently humorous! It's really nice to log in and catch up after a rugged day at the office or dealing with the occasional eccentric eBay buyer. The posters frequently turn an incipient frown upsidedown into a smile for me!

Again, welcome. Happy eBaying!

Ok, all you Ebay professors!

Have YET another question. on my first international sale!

We've been selling our toys left and right, and one international bidder (England) bought three with the Buy it Now option.

These are small, about 12 ozs a piece... She is looking for it by air.

what would be the most economical, but quick way to England?

These items are flat. Would it be best to put them in a box, via Air OR would it be easier to try to stuff two in the global envelope, and one in the smalle global envie?

These aren't breakable items.. so all it needs it just a little cushion.

Just wanted to say bye for now...we are headed to the WORLD tomorrow! :earseek:
I have all my ebay stuff cleared out except 1 NPB...sent emails and such with no responce....I will deal with THAT when I get home.
Ebay has helped us pay for a deceny chunk of the trip and I can't wait to list when I get home. I am having withdrawal!

Love you guys and happy ebaying!!!!!!:wave2: ::MickeyMo

Have a question....I know a lot of you wait to leave feedback until you have feedback left for you from the buyer. What if they don't leave feedback. I have about 3-4 that are about 3 weeks old and no feedback. Should I leave a generic feedback like I do for Half.com buyers? i.e. Thanks for a great Half.com transaction.

Any suggestions.

Thanks,

Martha

I would go with whichever works out to be the cheapest. Do they need or want insurance? Air letter is pretty quick.
I have always used Air letter for my boxes, but they have never wanted insurance (which they prob wouldn't be able to collect on anyway!).

There is also a tyvek envelope for global priority that you can use. Possibly you would be able to get all three items in this? and you would have room to wrap them in some tissue/newspaper? The post office should have them available for you...only problem is that I am not sure as to the postage charge on that. (I have only used the flat envelope of global priority box)....Oh...there are 2 size envelopes available as well, the larger size is about 9 X 12, maybe that would fit all 3 items and would ship for $9.00.

Need help for a coworker from AOL users...

She signed up to buy for ebay and after placing her bid realized the seller only accepted paypal. She went to sign up for a PayPal account, but cookies are not enabled on her home computer. She came to work to try yhe sign up and her work computer doesn't have cookies enabled. My work pc does have cookies enabled so she signed up using mine. Paypal has sent an email to her aol address, but we cannot access aol from work - it's blocked to reduce spam. When she gets home she will have an email from PayPal, but is not sure if she can follow the link to PayPal is cookies are not enabled.

My question is - can cookies be enabled for specific sites or is it all or none?

Thanks Taja!

I knew my timing was bad to chime in with all the excitement on the great crow sale. I didn't mind since I was having fun watching the bidding too.

Hopefully the heavy snow here in the East will keep people in front of their computers today and doing some bidding. On a day like this, I envy your warm location! My kids, who were out sledding at 7:00AM, would disagree with me.

C'ya!
Dan.

I do wait for feedback to be left for me first if I was the seller, and I leave feedback when I receive my item if I was the buyer. If a buyer does not leave me feedback, I do not leave any feedback....

I first started leaving feedback after I received payment, but after reading this thread I started leaving after the buyer left Fb for me. I have had a few buyers not leave me FB until I have left for them.

Hey, hearty congratulations for reading all the way through the thread! I think there is great value in that exercise, and it's almost like an initiation!

Now just try to find something that you remember seeing from June, but didn't cut and paste into your word doc! That's a special kind of "heck"!

I agree with your sentiments about the snowbound east coast shoppers. Let there be bids!

Tally Ho!

If she is using XP you absolutely can go site by site which is what I do. You do this through the IE browser under tools>internet options>privacy>edit (button near bottom right)>type in address of website and click on allow! Hope that helps.
