I'm going off the edge for Ebay... and finding things to sell in the most amazing places..
I was at the library, and I just wandered down to the periodical department. I usually check out all the magazines, books in the take a few, donate a few pile... most of the magazines are really dated,.. for example Seventeen and YM from 1977, old Popular Mechanics from the 70's, etc... most of it has big discard stamps on it, making it very unsellable...
But today, the MOTHER LOAD came in...
There were 8 sporting magazines from 1953 (the earliest) to 1967 (I think). They are not library discards, but a patron dropped them off.
One of them has the stats for the World Series, it had Lou Gehrig in it! The other one, had a Chicago football star, in one of his earliest years, the one from Brians Song... (My DH knew of him but he was before my time.. Sayers, I think!)
Some had Fran Tarkenton, and some Super Bowl Previews......
Some of the spines aren't pristine, but some are... There was just some amazing stuff, mostly football, but some baseball, and Army Navy stuff...
ALL FOR FREE!!!!! YIPEEEE! Right now some of our auctions aren't doing great per se, but there are a lot of views, and so I am encouraged....
I'm still excited about the magazines....
