Mine is okay right now, but no one is bidding on my items and there are only a few hours left. I have some things on that I saw other people had on last week and the bids were going like crazy. I wonder where those people are now, or are they going to wait till the last minute to bid? I only sold i item this week and it wasn't for much.

My counter doesn't show up sometimes either.

Well have a good day everyone. Check with you all later.

Both of mine seem to be working now. I hope it stays that way. Thanks for checking everyone!

I just had someone do a BIN for one of my auctions when I went to look at their feedback I saw that they had 4 neg and 1 neutral with a total of all feedback being 32. I thought that 3 negs and they were off. Is it a percentage of total feedback and then they get kicked off? They paid with paypal so I'm not too worried. Just curious.
Also for those of who sell multiples of the same items or similar items do you put in your auctions that you have more of this same item and if you buy more then one they get some kind of discount? Or a repeat buyers deal? Just curious as to how you phrase this in your auctions.
How are everyone's auctions doing? Mine are pathetic:( but I only have 2 items up:earseek: . Before I left for the WDW I had really great sales and since I've been home nothing to get excited about. Although I been very lazy and not listed much so I suppose it's my fault I guess I'm still stuck in vacation mode.
Thanks.

I think it's three NPB's and they may be suspended. I'm pretty sure it's possible to actually have a negative overall feedback and still keep your account.

They could have 31 negs and one positive (it would actually be 32 positives to make it show as one) and still be eBayer's. That's why NPB's are so important..3 of them and they are gone..at least for a while.

It used to be, if a person got to a minus 4 (say they had 25 positives and 29 negs..they would be a minus 4), eBay would suspend them. I don't see that in writing anywhere..so that may be in the past.

I have done ebay alot in the past, mainly as a buyer tho :) But, I am gonna try to ebay about $300 or more for my Disney trip!!!I just made $15 profit on a BIN last night, so maybe I will on this one too :) Wish me luck all!!!!

Could someone tell me what inexpensive digital camera you are using. I started selling on Ebay in June thanks to this thread and I have a digital camera already. I am looking to by an inexpensive digital camera for family members for Christmas who want to get started on Ebay. I'm looking for a simple camera with a USB connection for the computer. I'm looking to spend less than $100.
Any response would be great. I hate to go back through the thread looking for the answer.

Wow! Ebay is slow tonight! My auctions ended over half an hour ago and still no end of auction emails!

I am using an HP photosmart 318 which I received as a Christmas gift last year. I know, though, that with rebate it was less than $50. I would think there would be more of that type of deal before Christmas this year too. Good luck!

That's okay if your auctions went well. I hope they did!

I use the JamCam 3.0 that I purchased brand new (on eBay of course!) for $30 or so. It's not good for very fine details but works fine for everything else. When I have something that won't photograph well with it I just slap the item on my scanner instead (which cost around $39.99 I think). It uses a 9-volt battery and I'm perfectly satisfied with it so far..;)

Yep! I only had four things ending tonight, three finished higher than expected, the fourth went for the starting price--though I was happy to be rid of it as it's just been collecting dust and taking up space anyway...lol.

And two of the four have been paid for already.

C.Ann recommended the JamCam 3.0 camera when I first started to sell. I got it on ebay for something like 20.00 used. It came with no instructions, but I downloaded them from their website. After C.Ann told me step by step how to use it, it was GREAT. Then my dh bought me an inexpensive digital that enabled you to see the photo before you took the picture, which saved me alot of time, because I'm not only a computer dummy, but a picture taking dummy also. I then sold the Jamcam on ebay and got 30.00 for it. So it served its purpose and I made $$ on the deal. But the JamCam is a great inexpensive camera that's easy to use and takes good pictures. Go on ebay and look for it, there usually always on auction at good prices....

C.Ann its so gooood to see you on line posting, hope everything is going good for you.....

Our digital Camera is a Canon s45 4.2 megapixel camera.
We use it for everything, including Ebay... its a beautiful camera but it was not an inexpensive camera (approx $350).

We do not even use film anymore.. we took over 1000 pictures on our vacation, plus other things.. and its wonderful. Well worth the price!

Here is a question for you experts!
If I have more than one item is it better to list them all seperately or as a dutch auction?
BTW what IS a dutch auction? Can you explain in simple baby terms? How does the bidding/winning occur? I am so confused on this.

Thanks guys

I didn't list at all last week - been sick with some sort of bug that's going around - so I guess I better get busy today and tomorrow!

Of course I listed every thing yesterday  Could have used that penny gallery yesterday, with 20 items. Gallery isn't something I like to use, but my hubby likes it.

I do have a question about deadbeat zero bidders. You know the ones, bidders with zero feedback that win your item, and never pay! We've usually not had a problem with zero feedbackers before, but lately, we have had many of them bid and not return emails, or the email isn't valid, not pay, etc...

Of course we file the NPB, try to reclaim, FVF, but its just annoying. DH saw on the ebay seller forum that some have a disclaimer that a suggestion was that any bidder with a feedback less than 5 or 10 needs to contact the seller. Usually that scares the deadbeats away, and the serious bidders contact you. When they contact you, it shows that they follow directions, and they understand the ebay process. What do you think of all this?

Also, it was a challenging week bid wise.. lots of views but not much bids.

I always wondered about that little 'blurb' about low feedback people when I saw it in auctions.

WOW! I had a GREAT eBay weekend! The Christmas shoppers are definitely out! This was my last big hurrah before our Thanksgiving trip to Disney. I made enough extra (beyond what I expected) to change a few counter service meals to sit down ones! Yeah!

I will tally up how much money I made on eBay and post it on the eBay success story thread.
