You have to eat something for your next meal your mum made growing up , what are you having?

That’s easy. My mom was not a good cook and the only thing I can remember that she actually made that I liked was porcupine meatballs. One of the few meat dishes that I could actually swallow.

My favorite meal my mother made....grilled London broil, loaded baked potato, shrimp salad and lemon meringue pie......all soooo good

What I'm planning for supper tonight works - salmon with boiled new potatoes. It's something my mom probably made 1,000 times except she'd pan-fry the fish (I'm baking it) and probably wouldn't have hit the potatoes with garlic butter and baby dill like I will.

Steak, potatoes on the grill, and tossed salad with shrimp.
(Mini) Apple pie - crust from scratch, with my first initial carved on the top. She would always make one for me and one for my sister.

My mom cooked a ton, but I really remember the foods I didn't like. Chicken a la King and S.O.S were in regular rotation at our house. Yuck.

Chicken parm is what came to mind first. I also loved her meat loaf, sausage & noodle casserole, sloppy joes & leg of lamb

Macaroni and cheese. She is renowned in the family for her mac and cheese. Fortunately, I have mastered it and it's still my favorite food!
Also... Swiss steak, chicken fricassee, tuna noodle casserole, creamed chipped beef on toast, chicken croquettes. My versions are plenty good, but they aren't the same as my mom's.

Vareniki (Ukrainian dumplings) filled with meat and rice served with kapusniak (sauerkraut soup).

I’d eat it as long as my mother didn’t cook it as she was a horrible cook - my father was excellent and my mother had a lot of great recipes - I’d take
Chicken and dumplings
Porcupine meatballs
Meatloaf
Of course, we would always have to have green beans I’ll pass on those it’s not that I don’t like them. I’m just sick of eating them.
Corn anyway, you want to fix it as long as it’s not cream of corn
Carrots again just about anywhere you want to Fixin
It’s not a meal, unless you have at least two vegetables - that’s a rule that was instilled in me that I followed all the way through with my children
