You have got to hear what I just did!

I just had a big cry and thought I would vent. I booked a DING fare back in January at 31.63 and 36.28 from Baltimore to MCO and MCO to Baltimore on May 4the and May 13th. GREAT! SO I THOUGHT! I was just going through my airline paperwork for Southwest and I noticed that I booked by accident 2 flights from Baltimore to MCO. I booked the wrong flight going home. I called Southwest and was crying, really I was, and they said they would give me $73.00 (the flights are double that on line) but couldn't do the DING fare. I thought that was great of them to do that but I lost that great DING fare, all because I am a DINGY! And you should have heard all the bragging I did to my friends with such a great fare! My DH is going to be home any minute and is going to FREEK! Do any of you think there is any hope of a DING fare coming through for May this late in the game and with gas prices what they are?

Hang in there. It looks like they have stopped all the April DINGS and are just doing May1-31 DINGS right now. Good news is that I have been keeping a very close eye on the BWI-MCO and back and there hasn't been any in May recently. I really think you'll see one, maybe not at the $30-somethings, but maybe in the $40-$50-something range. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Good luck!!

Oh, and my reservation now says under the Fare Rules, "Standby Req Upgrade to YL Fare" . Does anyone know what this means?

That really only comes into play if you get to the airport early and ASK for standby for an earlier flight .You have to pay full fare.

And good luck with the Ding I think they have been just pitiful lately from BWI.
