Cast: Me 37 (Lisa) frantic planner and drill sergent,
Brian 41 reluctant WDW visitor,
James 16 first time to magic,
Angela 15 been there done that,
Brian 4, almost as excited as his mommy!!

Today was the big day, Thurs & EE for MK- and boy was I excited- Since I was making the ultimate sacrifice in getting up 10 mins before everyone else- I got to take a morn shower- everyone else had taken their’s the nite before & would get washed up in the morn- we were on sched today & out the door by 6:50 am

As luck was on my side (for a change) the MK bus came within 3 mins- yahoo- we were on our way!! Todays plan was to hit fantasy land- I had the gang trot over to dumbo as the baby has never been on it over numerous trips - my mind was not working this am and I just couldn’t seem to find pooh to get FP well, by the time I found pooh & headed back to dumbo, brian & baby & angela were done riding- oh no, I missed the prime pic opportunity- “get on again” I said – “I need pics”- no one paid any attention to me & james was looking at me like I was crazy- (by the way he was tooooo grown to get on dumbo) so I just took pics of dumbo with other people- maybe I could work some computer magic and impose our family’s heads on their bodies (lol) We rode peter pan, small world (teens basically fell asleep in small world) I love this ride- how could they not feel the Disney magic??!- well, we were ready for pooh now & it was 9 am , I got out my FP & realized the return time for pooh was 10:10- WHAT!! This is over an hour away- this is messing up my itinerary (I need to remind you all that I am a control freak & really do try to stick to my itineraries) oh well, we’ll break protocol just this once & ride pooh without the FP- we had to wait 10 minutes but well worth it- I rode with james and even saw a small smile on his face when tigger started bouncing!!

We did the haunted house next & this was when I began to realize that lil’brian was scared of all the rides he use to love- we were standing by the entrance door to the haunted ride when one of the CM’s slammed the door against the wall & told everyone to hurry up (part of the act) well, lil brian looked at me and turned in the opposite direction to leave “where are ya going baby” “not on this ride” he said well, his dad reminded him about how much he loved this ride before & he reluctantly got on (he survived with no trauma, lol)

if you get a good CM on the jungle cruise it really makes the ride- our cm was so sarcastic that he literally had me crying from his jokes!! On to brian’s fav ride –pirates, he had his monogramed “Pirate Brian” hat on and his pirate t-shirt and hook hand- and lo and behold- he didn’t want to ride this “scary “ ride- OMG, not again I thought- he ended up getting on and was pacified with my suggestion to pretend to shoot the mean pirates. I hate roller coasters but was determined to finally get on big thunder mt - never ever again- I thought I was gonna fall out!! (I am such a wuss) teens laughed at me the whole time on this ride….rotten kids!

the sun was beating relentlessly down on us- the crowds were unbelievable- (literally shoulder to shoulder)- but guess what – we were done at the MK for the day!!- ya hoo- we walked out of the park at 12:30- laughing to ourselves at all the crowds arriving-

had pizza at POR food court- was delicious- took naps & swam- then headed out at 4:30 to MGM for our Hollywood & Vine/fantasmic package- food was pretty good- about $20 per person, $10 for the kid- did the behind the scenes tour- and honey I shrunk the kids playground- had trimmed a few years off my life at the playground- told brian I would meet him at bottom of slide & waited there for 3 min’s and he never came down- stuck my head in the slide- & still no brian- I frantically ran up the steps & he was just standing there- he said he was waiting for me….?? returned back to the special entrance for fantasmic dinner package holders with our blue card the waiter gave us (as far as I was concerned this was a golden card) and walked into fantasmic after 8 pm- the area to the right was roped off for package holders, we got great seats- this is one do not miss production!! Just a warning- if you take the fantasmic dinner package- Package holders enter in a different area, be prepared for a long walk to get to fantasmic at the Oscar fill station entrance.

Day 3- thought we were gonna be washed away in the “flood”
:(
