you get invited to a school reunion , would you go?

No. Went to my 5th and 15th but just skipped my 50th.

Yes, went to my 10th, 25th and 50th. I enjoyed the last one the most, probably because it most certainly will be the last.

Went to my 5th. I was out of college, unlike many of my classmates, and working on a local TV show that was on 5 nights a week and I was surprised how many of my classmates had seen my name on the air.
Went to my 10th, skilled a couple, and then there were no organized events that I know of for my 30th, 35th, 40th and 45th. My 50th is coming up in two years, hope we have a reunion. So yes, I would go.

Let me put it this way... I had signed up for and even paid for my 20th high school reunion, and was actually kind of glad when a family member I live with got COVID and I had an "excuse" not to go.... lol (P.S. family member had mild symptoms. I wasn't glad they got COVID. Please don't take it that way.)

Nope. Have not been to any of them. My 25th was 8 years ago and they chose to not have a reunion due to previous classes having decline attendance and the prior classes organizers actually losing money on putting it together.

I did have one last fall, but I did not end up going. It wasn't that I particularly did not want to go, it was that things were way too busy during that time. Also, I was sick and coughing horribly, and some of the classmates were not coming due to Covid.

I have never been to any of my own, it seems like they always coincided with vacations and other things.

Nope. I’m not the same person anymore and I’m not sure people would grasp that.

No, I have never been to any of my reunions. I live in a state far away from where I went to high school, but if I lived close I probably still wouldn’t go.

no...never been to one.
Too far away now and never stayed in touch with any people (other than DH :rotfl: )

No. I haven't stayed in contact with any of them and it would probably be very awkward to be honest.

I didn't go to my 10 year reunion sooo probably not. Unless I had a good friend that was going.

I went to my 15th and decided then it would be my first and last. That was 28 years ago.

Nope. I didn’t go to our 10th and our 20th was cancelled because of Covid.

I wasn't particularly close with any of the kids in my class, and it was a very large class, over 900 students, so I didn't go to any of the reunions. However, when the 40th rolled around, I was going to be in the state anyhow for a family issue so I decided to go. I had such a good time, I brought DH with me to the 45th, and it was even more fun! We have just started planning for the 50th, which will be in Sept 2024- and I can't wait!

Here's what I learned: Nobody is who they were in high school and a lot of the crap doesn't matter anymore. People DO remember you (especially if there are name tags with your yearbook picture on them- sure helped!). I like seeing how people's lives turned out. I also realized that there is a comfort in talking to people who "get" you, who have the same roots and background as you do. Anyhow, I am wicked glad I went to the 40th reunion, and will keep going every 5 years for as long as we have them (and I can get there)!

I might have gone to my 40th to see a few old friends, but it would have been in 2020, so...covid.

I went to a Catholic all girls high school, I was on a scholarship so I have sometimes in the past contributed to their scholarship fund. I moved a couple of years ago and didn't realize the post office tells all of the charities, junk mail people, etc what my new address is, so they found me. I was invited to a local reunion for DC area alumnae. It was at a nice venue so I went. It was mostly younger women than me, but I found it interesting to see what they are doing and hear how the school has changed in 40+ years.
