You get five Fastpasses on the Disney's 50th Anniversary Guided Tour

I believe you ride up to 5-attractions on the tour. If your tour includes parade viewing or fireworks viewing, then it includes 3-attractions (which they decide by pulling the attractions out of a hat). They have 1 attraction from each decade. I believe they are: Storybook Canal, Pirates??, Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain and Buzz Lightyear.

Unless it has changed, you don't get fastpasses for the rides. You just get front of the line access with the tour group.

The 50th Celebration tour (actually called From Imagination to Celebration) is not listed on their website. You can get info by calling. I was told that if they have 2 parades they have 4 tours, and if they only have 1 parade they have 3 tours. I'm guessing with no fireworks at night and only 1 parade in the fall, it will go down to 2 tours during the week (though I could be wrong). You can choose the 1st tour, no parade or fireworks viewing, and you go on 4 or 5 rides (I can't remember).

2nd tour goes on 3 rides and parade viewing (my understanding it is near the matterhorn). If there are 4 tours, then tour 3 is the same as tour 2 (3 rides, parade viewing). Tour 4 has fireworks viewing from the train station and 3 rides.

Here's a thread we have stuck at the top of the board that discusses this tour. I believe you get a discount if you have Disney Visa.

50th Anniversary Tour: Imagination to celebration

I took this tour in June. You do get a discount if you use your Disney Visa (you can also get a discount on the Walk In Walt's Footsteps tour). I chose the tour w/fireworks seating, so we went on 3 rides: Pirates, Splash Mt., Big Thunder Mt. We also saw the movie in the old Mr. Lincoln theater--a 50th anniversary show. Our tour guide took us to the front of the line each time; we didn't get fast passes. While waiting for the fireworks, we got a little box of snacks; I think there was an apple, chocolate chip cookie and some water. We each got a copy of a photo of our group standing in front of the DL entrance, and before we left we all signed a scrapbook page that our photo was on (it was to be included in an album with all the other tour photos). We also received a cool pin of the lamp in the window of Walt's apartment--the pin has a real light in it. (You can see it on eBay) All in all, very much worth it, in my opinion. I'm going back in 10 days and this time I'm doing the Walk In Walt's Footsteps.

I hadn't heard about this before, for those that have gone, did you find them to be worth it, would it be suitable for younger children ages 4 and 3?
Is it worth the money for front of the line, or better seating? How do you find out how often they run?

I don't think the "From Imagination To Celebration" tour (which I did) would be suitable for children, even up to early teens, unless they had a real interest in Disney facts & trivia. It lasts 3.5 hours and is mostly walking and listening to the guide talk. I think kids would get very restless. If you were only taking it to cut the line on the rides and get reserved seating, you'd have to decide for yourself if 3.5 hrs of your time and $40-50 is worth it. I took it mostly for the guided tour and fireworks seating; the rides were a bonus. I thought that all that, plus the pin and photo, was worth it. As far as getting reservations, one of the above posts has a link to a phone # you can call.
